I personally give them autonomy while giving support from the background. If they’re completely new, I’d like them to lead for all realm except wasteland. In forest, I let them lead while I hold an umbrella so they don’t die out. If they end up stuck in one area too long, I take the lead for a minute just to pull them back on track
