if you get +80 you'll have around 100

A random question for you guys, a lot of people complain about how sky becomes a grinding game, how do you feel about it in that aspect?

Personally I kind of like grinding and candle running in this game so it’s not that much of an issue to me

I struggle with the grind when I am busy with other things, but value the time I spend

It’s very zen for me. I spent a lot of time actually daydreaming about writing stuff while I was CRing today. It’s got the same effect for me as something like Stardew Valley does. I can just grab a thought and set sail as I go. (Though admittedly I am used to the grind from Pokemon, between my semi-competitive shenanigans in Gen 6 and my present-day Nuzlocking.)

And at least if you don’t feel like the long grind, you can go to granny and geyser for wax, and spend your days in Sky doing other things like playing with friends, guiding moths or playing music.

i also enjoy candle running, i have an excess of candles at this point so i never need to worry about not affording things which is nice, but something about watching my candle count continue to grow is very gratifying for me, especially since i wait to forge all my candles for a day until my candle has gone grey/it’s almost reset so i guess i don’t find it much of a chore i understand the frustration tho bc not everyone has time or the willingness to cr often and then scrambling to afford tses/event items can be stressful

I'm pretty new to this game so I don't have the luxury of skipping out on TS by having the cosmetics from previous seasons. Neither did I get the chance to save up candles from previous off seasons. This kinda compels me to do like a 19-20 CR everyday and I couldn't spend candles on things in the base game I want. Lowkey just want this season to be over so I can stockpile candles in the off season which gives me a bit of time to breath.

For CR, there’s a chevron system that helps collect candles faster at first, but slower later on! I forget when exactly it was introduced so I apologize if you’re already familiar with it, but for me, it’s basically a game of wearing the chevrons down. I recently discovered, however, that it’s actually possible to get around 17-19 candles in roughly an hour with the help of the wax events such as the geyser, grandma’s dinner, and the turtle, which is a lifesaver if you don’t have the time to do all of the realms!

Late response, but I personally usually always accept, and blow kisses! It’s just hard to decline a moth. Although, once I ended up with a whole flock of them at the Prairie Temple
I remember there was around 5 or so, and we spent many minutes there as everyone was trying to friend each other so we could hold on to one another

And if we don’t speak the same language, that’s alright! I’ve communicated using emojis, and translators, even if it’s not always perfect! In fact, one of my dearest Sky friends I didn’t speak to for several months, yet we were capable of communicating with in-game emotes just fine, and we still do to this day sometimes. It remains one of my most memorable experiences with the game, for sure!

during weasels second visit,dismiss was glitched and the ts was dismiss instead of weasel so some people got dismiss and weasel on the same day
there used to be mushrooms in forgotten ark which gives the players who "harvest" them a whole candle ! but these mushrooms are located out of bounds or high up in the skies and server jumps happen really often
in sanctuary, there was a bug which caused the daylight lobby birds and the closet icons to turn black as well as the dismiss mask to turn black/gray ! which turned out to be really cool

best idea i'd take one from a different box/brand just to be sure when i tested when i first got sick i actually swabbed my tonsils/throat area, since sometimes it'll give you a negative when you're clearly sick and showing signs (and like a day later have confirmed covid) bc getting a fever will almost always get you a positive

Help😭 everytime I invite a player here in discord to candle run with me, My sky game will act up. It won't let me play. The loading always stay in the middle and later on error communicating appears even though I have good internet and when I already logged in the game the buttons won't appear naman😭 This happened to me twice already, I ended up candle running alone again...
