id suggest not tbh
your fingers can tire out and your hands can lock up due to controller stuff
i mostly just end up having tendon strain if i build for like 2 consecutive weeks in a row
its a lot of physical stuff involved so take that into considerations first and then see if you want to

Tracing never helped me understand anything it just limited my creativety

For anatomy it isn't a big deal, but give credit. Everything else really shouldn't be even close to traced. I suggest focusing on referencing something to learn rather than tracing.

Sounds like carpal tunnel. A tendon in your wrist gets agitated and swollen and "pops" through the tissue that it passes when you bend your wrist and is most likely from overuse and repeated motions (drawing lmao) do you have any sort of wrist brace that you could wear at night so you don't move it for the tendon to smooth down?
