ah sorry, i dont know a specific video! But I use photoshop if it helps any. <:) theres a brush that the opacity is triggered by the pen pressure. The harder you press the more opaque it becomes. I do my sketch, do flat colors under it and shadow on multiply, then i clean up the sketch with that brush, above everything.

Also concepts for different versions of all Skids first stage of life(just in my head of course), I’m stuffing way too much lore into them but basically
Spark= base form of all Skids, have to be powerful to progress to their Moth stage, some never do
Wick= no light of their own, but when partnered up with a Spark, can enhance the power of the light and the two can progress together, forever bound
Source= unlimited light, they are incredibly uncommon and are huge target for the Void
Void(temporary name)= basically any creature of darkness that has taken the form of a Skid, they are always starving for light. They can only expend as much light as they have consumed, and so the best course of action is to either drain the light of many Skids, or hunt down a Source to pull from constantly
Unkindled= the unfortunate result of weak Sparks without any means to progress. While they still age, they never gain the same power or individuality that others do. While some may find ways to progress in different directions(like becoming spirits) most will eventually dim, rejoining the light cycle where they can start again, hopefully this time with a strong enough Spark
Rejoining the light cycle is a joyous occasion, especially for particularly strong Skids, as their light is nicely distributed, leading to less weak Sparks that result in Unkindled :))
