Okay! So first, wing types. Most kinds of bird wings can be grouped into four types, with some falling between two of these types. These types of wings are elliptical wings, high speed wings, high aspect ratio wings and soaring wings with slots. Each have their own shape and wingspan, the feathers layered differently in each.

High speed wings are short, pointed wings that when combined with a heavy wing loading and rapid wingbeats that provide an energetically expensive, but high speed.

Knowing different wing types will help you ALOT.

You can look up different bird wing bone structures, but every flying bird has three fingers at the top of the wing

Wings can bring out personality and elegance

So your sky child can look even more prominent and thought out with different wing types.

I will say before you head off, the bottom area of the wing is a bit empty. Adding some feathers in a curved structure would help blend the feathers out

Almost. Here: a circle near the bottom shows the lower feathers which helps gather wind and speed

Adding a circular, curved inwards feather layer will help make the wing pop out more.

It looks very nice other than that! You already understand the first two feather layers

Art block can be harddd When I don’t have any ideas I look up random poses and try and draw, or I’ll ask other people what to draw. I’ve found that weird doodles that I’m not used to drawing are really good for getting out of art block! (Like my sister suggested I draw a dinosaur chasing cereal with an axe )

She basically died in an avalanche in the valley of triumph, and Delerian, her crazy brother (||like a litteral mad scientist who kill people for his experiments||) tried to bring her back to life in a robot body (with an extremely low effort on the design) he failed and got turned into a zombie in one of his experiences using ancient magics (but that's another whole story) she remained inactive with her light stone still on the robot for years until she was found (as well as her brother who forgot everything about his past life) and reactivated
but the context for this drawing is that basically, with her original robot body she was just not feeling like a skykid anymore and that made her feel extremely insecure about the fact that she was scared of not being considered as a person, and also of not being one anymore in the end

decided to give her a design upgrade as a birthday gift, and that just means the world to Sonia since now she actually looks a bit more like an actual skykid
