so you know the statues right before the coliseum? the ones that hold horns and we see in the end of the races before we get into the coliseum itself? they always looked really interesting to me. they don't look like any other statue in the game, and they look really personalized - they have noses and diamonds on their clothes, features that other statues lack. so I thought - hey, what if these statues were depicting the valley elder that was before the twin elders? and what if this past elder was the current elders' mom? I've read that originally, there was supposed to be only one elder of the valley, that was a priestess. so I grabbed and rolled with that idea
