so what you do is you gather a bunch of photo reference that's similar to what you want, then trace the photo to understand how the folds work (or you can use reference of yourself too)
the thickness of the fabric also affects how the folds appear as well, then you use that information in your piece.

i feel something like this can read well; the raised arm needs a bit more crinkle at the elbow. also flip your canvas to fix some errors

Triangles are generally your best friend when it comes to clothing folds,
Keep in mind when you do stuff like this-
-the way gravity/forces like wind affect how the clothes fall on the body
-the way the body is bent or twisted (twisting your arm generates folds in a spiral-ish pattern, points of tension like the elbow area or knee will pull on the fabric whereas points where the fabric is folded in on itself like the inner elbows, armpit, whatever, will make lots of folds)

ALSO

never go too crazy with folds, then it kinda, looks like the person has not ever ironed their clothes (past experience)
