I have 2 sky AUs going on rn and the second one is more based on a melancholical/after-apocalypse setting where the light children are ambodiment of the fallen stars and that ||everyone living before is now under the sand of past|| and darkness has took over half of the realms. I kinda see them as way more fragile/unstable than in the game due to being made of light which is main food source for STARVED dark creatures

I’ve always seen the idea of the fact sky kids are made of light as more of a metaphor for how unrelenting hope can be in the face of hardship.

Light.. stars.. wax.. idk anymore, but i think the fact theyre made of light wax and everything nice (/ref) makes them WAYYY more fragile and even more unstable, since lets be honest.. creatures made of wax with a mindset of a child AND almost everything wants to consume their light? I tried out a new drawing app that can express the texture of paint buildup (impasto). The free version doesn’t let you choose brush size, so I drew thin lines with a touch as light as petting a mosquito 🤓 🫳🦟(plus the canvas is low quality and you only get one layer). But it was fun!

Fun fact, there r species of krills that can be your pet!!!!! Theyre way smaller and more petable.. you can feed the light orbs (which, is like kible for cats...) and pet their spikes.. they also get easily used to other pets you might own, even light creatures!!!!! (For ex., a manatee)

I sanded the front a bit, painted, and used some fun spray pain. Had to be careful though, or else the silver color would be too thin and you could see in the mask.

For the cape I just used a "Snuggy" like blanket, and for the actual "skin tone" I got a full body thingy on Amazon.
