The greatest digital illustrations can be indeed achieved with a basic round brush and knowledge of techniques! Changing the brushes inly changes the texture of your lines/colors!

A VERY GOOD QUESTION that I absolutely did not think about before

I think it depends on whether you think ancestors honked. As far as I'm aware, the noises we as skykids pick up from ancestors are just calls and whistles

could be skykids use honks and beeps as their language, but ancestors may of used something close to speech - so then it would be a huge language barrier between starkids and skykids

though, I imagine if they did have a call of sorts, they'd sound closer to the journey calls - that sort of ethereal warble
