That happened to me, it’s so annoying. Try to limit the layers to 7 or so (depends on your canvas size) and duplicate the canvas if you are going to do a risky move so you still have the prev layers
It happens on big artworks at times

Tonight has been ridiculous. The ghosts in the hotel let me draw that GW elder doodle earlier, then they started making all sorts of noise.
