Yeah if you want cracks in the earrings I would just use black or dark color. And then make the highlights light yellow/gold to bland in with the rest of the earrings.

Idk Im thinking maybe art isn't for me perhaps. I haven't really improved for a long while, and I just end up feeling disappointed with the end result too often

Hey its alright. I go through the same issue as well. I tend to make something that it looks nice at forst but then after a while I just, hate looking at it. And thats likely cause you probably put you standards too high for yourself. You want to draw good but that takes time. Theres always room for improvement but you gotta be patient with yourself, but also challenge yourself, improvement requires risks and tests, just not just doing and hoping it looks better

If you really feel for a change of pace, feel free to try other things! Sometimes art just isnt for us, but if you still want it as a way to calm down, or just for fun, keep in mind what i said earlier

I think its more about being happy with the process rather than the "greatness" of the result, if you find yourself not enjoying your art process its ok to step back and consider if this is what you really like doing. On the other hand if you think you truly find fun or satisfaction in your process then I'd encourage you to keep going art is not the same for everyone and there's no time standard to notice "improvement", as long as you do what you like good results will come out of it

Hey its alright. All artists have their flaws, believe me, we all have things we steuggle with, some even the same issue as you. I say try and take it easy for now on art and maybe to look at ehat you want to improve on. Analyze it and then draw. If you're not happy with the outcome, keep looking and keep trying. Its how I got better at drawing hands. They were a pain they still are, but less. It just takes time, practice, and trial and error.
