Update on the project; I’m using a new layer to make some white highlights where I think the rainbow color will be, that way I can lock the layer and just color it in.
However… I have loads of other layers, so I’m asking now; anything I should do to improve the background before I combine some layers?

Actually no use this method, select your skid to create an outline layer to color on.
Make a separate layer while that is selected.
Color on the spots where you think the colors are highlighting the pants, arms, shoes etc.
then tap to see the layers and you should see a letter on the end and you choose from what the setting should look like

It’s more easier then brushing and blending it on there

Character concept: Exavier Prisligh

• You returned to the Wastelands in search for the spear-weilding stranger that saved you from the graveyard dragons some time ago. You haven't heard from him since that encounter, so you wanted to find and thank him formally.

The wastes still seemed hostile, the boneyard of once giants, now territory of the infamous Dark Dragons. How you dread walking into these wastelands alone, but, in your quest, you pushed on. Suddenly, a loud growl can be heard from your right. Another child of light has been spotted. You froze the same as him, as if you're the one in that position. You want to help, but are scared. Unfortunately, the moment you've made your decision, is the moment the dragon charged in for the kill. You won't make it.

Then, as if by a miracle, the child wasn't hurt. On the contrary, it was the dragon, who crashed into the ground. You looked over at the child again, only to find another one, seemingly checking if he's alright. Now, instead of fear, you're frozen out of sheer confusion. What happened to the dragon? And where did this other stranger come from?

It seems like you're about to find the answer for yourself. A dragon had spotted you and was ready to attack. You tried to run, but the mucky, dark waters of the wastes proved to be quite a hindrance. It seems like you won't make it. But then a sudden flash of light appeared between you and the dragon. It was the stranger. He drew his rapier against the dragon the moment it charged at both of you. And, in a swift series of motions, he parried and knocked out the dragon out with a counter attack of a barrage of light.

"We best get out of these waters. It's kinda hard to move here."

Character conecpt II: Dark Boogaloo - Noir

• There had been rumors spreading around sky kids: a shadow of a child, hiding in Eden. Nobody truly knows what it is, maybe it's just another one of Eden's tricks on the young minds of the Children of Light. Maybe it was just another one of the fallen spirits in Eden. Sadly, the truth is never that simple, especially with Eden.

There had been cases where some children of light would venture into the cruel unknown that is the Eye of Eden, but they never made it back. They never got reborn. Though the common concept of these children deciding to stay where they once came from, the Orbital Nebula, some, had different stories. And one particular child, had some of the darker ones.

When all light gets extinguished, what do you usually do. The common reaction is to panic, to search for something, anything. Just a single hint of light. While most had found their light again, this child, unfortunately, did not. In the dark confines of the void, he called for somebody, anybody, to call back.

But nobody came.

Over time, bearing the feeling of emptiness consumed him, thus, taking in the one thing all of his kind stood up against: darkness. His vessel, inhabited by darkness, restrained him to the ground. So, he made his way back up the mountain. Without flight. Without light. The dragons didn't notice him, even when he was looking right at them. The Red Rain did little harm to him, in fact, he felt very little, even the strong, cruel winds of Eden felt like the faintest of breeze.

It was after this realization, where he despaired inside of his empty shell. He truly had nothing left. But...he can't show that despair, either.
