first step: turn correction to max
second step: spend 50 years drawing one line to perfection (hyperbole, more like 5 minutes max)
third step: end up with what you see in the second image, and then erase the extras to get crisp edges

that's my workflow for lineart anyways
but since sky is lineless i dont end up using the lineart

the weight of the body was on the floor, not the figure holding them up, that's where all of it is actually balanced
like consider where the center of gravity is cuz a feeble old man would have a hard time trying to keep a grown adult held

if you looked closely to fg dude's hand on the ground, you can see the shoes of black dude on the ground on either side of that
the shoes of both figures are embroidered on the top so you can see that detail reflected in the painting
so I inferred that that's how he was sitting
