Here's a tip if your not sure you colored out of the lines!

Invert your lineart! Especially if the lineart is a dark color mixed with another dark color it can help you find what's not supposed to be there!

Don't be afraid to play around with shape design. And also not be afraid of playing with curves to make the gesture more pronounced, especially in the sketching stage

I have a tip! If you draw digitally and want to erase with the same pen you're linearting/sketching g with, click the transparent tile on your pallet window and you can 'erase' with the same pen, like watercolor, with the same texture!
