Yes but hiding wouldn't really be for Sky. Of course, we have animal masks like Fox or Bird. But there ain't no Fox or Bird that the Sky kids could camouflage into, nor was there any in the story. It's just so strange that a face would be genetically separated and changeable from a body on a whole specie like that...

I think all of the winged guys represent more the place that we go to, the curiosity that drives you. In the Cave of Prophecies it's clearly associated with the 4 elements like there's some primordial quality to them. But the only thing you see is that they're hidden, they're only uncover when you discover the world, and this primordial energy fills you up to move and live. I think losing winged light is more akin to losing a part of your happiness when you're struck by the monsters of depression and grief, age and sadness when they make you less of a human. And that the game considers it something to regain instead of accepting its loss.

Those people influence us, teach us ways to look, to think, to act, some inspire our clothing. I think it's just describing the relationship towards the ideal that we make as you're a child who's building himself in the world (knowing the game literally starts by calling us Child)

My theory of the new video is probably a bit too far stretched but, The sky kid in that video doesn't look like the ones we have now, I do have a question of how they got into the world did they fall like the stars or did they Just somehow appear, anyways back into mine, I think that the sky kid in that video might just be a old ancestor of the sky kids we have now. • Wls are like physical memories of positive emotion, and negative things like dark rain and getting krilled pop them out of you like a piñata
• The ancestors yearned to fly, and might’ve been their reason for experimenting new things, probably to their downfall
• The big transport manta has its big eye on top, while krills have it on the bottom. I know it’s been said before but yes definitely corrupted transport mantas
• Mantas have mouths, but it’s possible they only use them for communication, rather than eating. Living solar panels with a speaker attached to them. The fact that they are naturally energy sources could be the reason why people experimented on them, and possibly how krills were made?
• Skykids killed the mask industry. Also they could be a hybrid of ancestors’ culture and clothing, elders and light creatures.
• The different calls might be the ancestor’s best attempts at replicating other creatures. Maybe every creature in the realm communicated through just honking?

I'm the first area, that thing that the red scarf thingy is tied to appears to be a bell. Maybe bells served as checkers or marks for these manta/manatee steeds to orientate themselves by
And the manta/manatee breathes out a smoky looking substance, which is, again, probably smoke, which drives the theory that these are Light Dragons further. Assuming they have even somewhat of a basis in Western Dragons, maybe then thry could breathe fire, hence the smoke, and lost that ability when they got corrupted

I think they are Light Dragons (uncorrupted dark dragons aka krill) and lost a lot of their abilities (fire breathing?) and a lot of bodily Mass/Meat when they got corrupted. Which is why Krill attack us, they need light to be cured. But no amount of our WL is enough to cure them because they're too far gone....

I first thought that the "fall" of the stars was the arriving of the elders and the king, as stated in the original concept art. But in the trailer we can see that there are a lot more than 7 stars falling, and those can't be the ancestors because they are already on the land. Skykids can manipulate the light in pure aesthetic ways. I think that the Fireworks Staff is a kind of "tool" for this, gifted ||is 20 hearts a gift? || to the skykids that reach a certain "level" to shepherd the "novices" (moths by all the elders).

Current prophecy has Anubis as the guide and as you said the Egyptian trials might be related to the theme in cave trials.

Sun god is considered the main god/king of kings and has to go through various gates and realms basically to meet and light up various gods, bringing them back from dead, in the process alleviating darkness every time. We do exactly the same going from one realm to another, waking up gods and talking to them before a gate is opened for us for next realm

also the sun god "Ra" can be compared to the prince or king who was the first one ascend.. In cave murals we see his head as a sun ☀ after the ascension. Sun god "ra" is believed to do a similar ascension when he goes through 12 hrs of darkness (night) to rise again.

When we first started coming over to sky, we brought light with us and and found some along the way, we used the light to heal the darkness and dark creatures. But as time went on they started using the light for industrial purposes and the crabs and krill slowly reverted back to their dark states until it was so bad they couldn't control them, thus leading to the fall of the Golden Wasteland and the spirits locking themselves in an impenetrable vault only accessible via opening the doors using light which nothing outside has anymore. While inside studying trying to find ways of storing and preserving the light they still have

in the trailer we can see that the spirits take light from flowers etc. and we have candles that give us light in Sky mostly everywhere. they probably made a solution to the problem they created (which was depriving the world of light)

i think that power diamonds were created as sustainable energy because the vault elder (who i believe led to study/experiment) knew that if they kept using stars and other natural light sources, it would one day not be enough to supply light for all of the relams (and it DID happen, take a look at eden and gw) so basically power diamonds failed in other realms, maybe because of the terrain/climate/usage, or some other reason

here's another theory to back up WHY power diamonds failed.

the "power diamonds" were not real light at all, instead they mimiced the aura of the light because the intention was to keep darkness away but not destroy it (we see in the trailer that the spirit only used it to light their path and scare dark creatures away but not destroy them)

the beacon we see in the eye of eden was supposed to be a sanctuary aka the main source of power diamonds and light that is used in all of the realms! it was placed there because that's the area that didn't have most light, and where corruption was more adamant because at this point of the story the stars were already falling.

now i made a comment earlier saying that stars could've been the main reason the apocalypse happened. the terrain if the kingdom of sky has something to do with it. ever noticed that when lightning hits the ground irl, fungi appears? that's what's going on in the world as well, when stars fall it corrupts the surrounding area, which is why darkness and weeds appear even in well lit areas like sanctuary for example. since the light sustaining the world is fake, it can not destroy it.

and SINCE THE BEACON IS ONLY FAKE LIGHT, IT CAN BE CORRUPTED

so basically the creatures we see today are smaller, simpler versions of the creatures we saw in the trailer! in the trailer there were bigger mantas and whales and crabs, since most of the bones we see in the boneyard and graveyard don't match the creatures we see today because it's TOO big

and the whales/mantas we see in sanc and sunny forest are most likely the oldest type of manta/whale types in the kingdom post-apocalypse!
