i may have a theory of the little prince lore

just a guess

but the prince talks about how he visits 6 planets, and how each of them, there is a "narrow-minded" adult running them

these could each represent the realms, as, apart from eden and home, there are 6 realms

-A king with no subjects, who only issues orders that can be followed, such as commanding the sun to set at sunset. (unsure)
-A narcissistic man who only wants the praise which comes from admiration and being the most-admirable person on his otherwise uninhabited planet. (Could be valley twins, they seem to be "showy")
-A drunkard who drinks to forget the shame of drinking. (unsure)
-A businessman who is blind to the beauty of the stars and instead endlessly counts and catalogues them in order to "own" them all (critiquing materialism) (Counting and cataloging sounds like vault of knowledge)
-A lamplighter on a planet so small, a full day lasts a minute. He wastes his life blindly following orders to extinguish and relight the lamp-post every 30 seconds to correspond with his planet's day and night. (Forest? there's a lot of lanterns there)
-An elderly geographer who has never been anywhere, or seen any of the things he records, providing a caricature of specialisation in the contemporary world. (Sounds like possibly isle elder ...?)

But when we're discussing about the role of the skykid regarding lore, did we decide on whether or not the character we play is the singular remaining skykid roaming the once forgotten realms or all if the other skykids we meet are also intended to be part of the narrative?

I would assume so since orbit exists, but I feel like the interpretation varies a lot depending on that

I have an idea where its like each sky kid is sole remaining in their world, but skykids arent just confined to their own universe i guess. So we can help each other as our worlds meld, but each spirit we save, was from the world of our individual sky kids.

well, not exactly. Orbit is where rebirth takes place. I think it sorta follows the rules as other places. we can interact with others, and thats part of the lore. But we must save the spirits on our own. people can help us though.

the two share similar aesthetics, it's subtle for sure, but it wouldn't be TOO far off to guess that sky got some inspiration from the little prince. If that's so I wouldn’t be surprised if this was some sort of tribute to that

either that, of one of the devs had a favorite childhood book and wanted to share it with us haha

but either way I'm kinda excited now, this could be really cool and new! it's a little sad that people are already disproving of it before we've even seen what content it has

i actually want to comment to that.
well the next season doesnt necessary and exclusively have to be connected to the (main) lore. we can just enjoy something beautiful and new.
if they connect it with the lore somehow it probably will be cool.
but lets not judge without seeing.
most of us basically judge by imagining what might happen...

not all previous seasons were connected to the main lore.
they were just explanations or something else but there wasnt something like a "sequel"

I agree with you completely! we’ve only got one teaser and one trailer, and even so there wasn't enough to guess what this season would be like. Considering how sanctuary was partially lore based, it's entirely possible for a season to be non lore. Sky's lore is unique, and the devs know that, I don't think they’re going to integrate The Little Prince into it. This is seemingly just some reference to it, but what for, who knows? for now

maybe they will just bring a part from little prince's story to show us something beautiful with meaning (for example, "love yourself") and in the end there will be a connection to the main lore (like little prince is leaving us but we see that we have to continue our journey)
