The only "cutscenes" I really remember from Orbit are reuniting with your lost light in the void-ish area after shattering, seeing off the saved lights from the statues when you first land in Orbit, and collecting the winged lights from ascended spirits. That's really it.

forest (orange orb) in boneyard floating around near the watchtower with a wl
valley (blue orb) floating around ice rink
wasteland (red orb) theres 1 in both shipwreck and in ark
vault (violet orb) 2 player door, archives, floating around outside

In the spirit's memories there were 3 spirits they were putting down orbs on the boat, i may have a pic

because they appear on the murals

So among all elder cutscenes, the isle and prairie have two things that make them different from the rest

1. They show the (actual) eden castle
2. The elders get flames by themselves (not offered by skids)

So there's either a lore related reason here, or maybe all elder cutscenes were originally supposed to show the eden castle and get flames by themselves, but the devs changed their mind after the prairie was fully animated but they didn't wanna redo it along with the isle.

I think that can be seen as a lack of agency on our side, which makes sense with the "aging" theory in each realm.

In Isle and Prairie skykids are meant to be in an infant/child state, so we could asume they don't know yet what they're doing exactly.

Going along those lines, I guess "Isle/Pairie Elders taking the light themselves" does make sense lorewise

Anywho. Theory: what if the prophets and co. Prayed, got falling stars and obtained power to finish trials.
Being prophets they wanted the specie to ascend so did all this work, but once they conquered the trials, it started getting to his/her head as "horns".
Now he climbed Eden but the orignal purpose was lost, he thought of himself as god. And "conquered" Eden with his minions.

I imagine it's some sort of parasite and it develops over time-

Like Sky people that got stung by the shadow plants, that can be a way it got transmitted

And non "human" creatures like crabs got infected and became aggressive because the parasite affected them the other way. That would explain why we can see crabs that are not aggressive in the game as well.

Ahhhhh I just realized something! That looks like a sacrifice alter! The Sky child, presumably dead, by the way their body is just dangling at that odd angle, is making everything else around it that is light stay alive because their life was a sacrifice! Look at the light creatures revolving around the child, as if light life depended on it dying.
