So, a few things.

1. significance of green gem: After eden, we have a green gem embedded in our naval, but the other spirit has nothing. Could this lack of green gem be why they can’t leave? Or are they one of the spirits we end up taking with us when we all leave?
2. significance of valley twins: it is generally thought that valley twins represent competition, and thus hunted the light to extinction. On the contrary, we see plenty of birds in the valley citadel. This doesn’t mean that theyre extinct, just that they are still somewhat there. This is where Sky ecosystem is nearing the end, but hasn’t reached it. Instead, I propose that since the valley twins are two people, they represent two ideas: competition and stubbornness. Competition is responsible for overhunting, but stubbornness is responsible for not going back. They are very much a transition phase. There was probably a point where they could have gone back and reversed a lot of the damage done by changing some of their choices. If Sky is an allegory for Earth, then this is the phase we are probably in rn. They have the ability to turn back, but their stubbornness prevents them from doing so. Instead, they focus on outcompeting each other in different aspects, that the world is neglected and doomed.

I think the Vault summit is a replica of it. I mean the one in Eden isn’t like Vault with some grass and some rocks. It’s a thin tower with the looks of the Vault summit though, so I suppose the Eden summit is the original version of it.

I think we are physically in both places. Vault and eden are both very much real. I really think the devs saying that they wanted the vault to look "dreamlike" wasn't literal but rather just the vibe they were going for.. Vault's main piece is the projector which makes everything around you,, basically a projection..

Anyways here's my Headcanon:

Who are the Skykids?
•Base on the title of the app, they are the Children of the light. They have no parents and they're made out of light. Due to the appearance of the darkness, this is what keeps them seeing each other faces. Instead, they only see their kind a shadow figure.

What is their purpose?
•It's like the human world that has a mission or purpose in life, the Skykid's job is to save everyone from the darkness and unite everyone together.

I kinda think of them as something like a Reaper, a person who collects souls and that souls are the spirit in this game.

But why is there Spirits?
•The spirits are like restless souls, it's either they wait to be released or traveling around places to places (The Traveling TS and Normal Spirits)

The Skykids relieve the Spirit's memory as an act of releasing them, which is why we go to the temple to set those Spirits free away from the world.

How about the Emotes?
•The Skykids are emotionless, they do not know anything about the world nor any kind of expressions. With the help of the Spirits which are their ancestors, they learned it from them. The Skykids are really curious asking themselves..."What if I did it too?"

So far this is only the thing I can list cause my headcanons are really long, I won't be able to write it 💀

Ok so I have this hc that the valley elder twins are actually (ss) stealthy survivor's kids. They feel like the kind to do tik tok dances and prank videos while their mom looks on exasperated. I also headcanon stealthy survivor as upright, stern strategic- specialist, military mode always on typa person who's known to have brought up her two troublesome kids into stunning and potential fleet-leaders (I kinda view the whole Golden wasteland gang with a sorta space-military kinda vibe with different fleets for defense/attack/strategics/intelligence etc etc) but they get chosen to be in the valley headquarters and obviously she's (stealthy survivor's) proud no matter what.
And on the topic of them being her kids, maybe she found then abandoned during a krill attack when she was a young, upcoming fleet captain? Maybe their house got destroyed in the attack and they survived because of her? Just a thought tho

This is probably not intended but if you invert sky’s colours (on iOS you can do this by triple-pressing your device’s home button and selecting classic invert) the skykids look like spirits, and dark, while the spirits look like they’re alive like the skykids, and it’s pretty interesting playing with it.

Not to mention all the realms look like totally different versions, vault looks like a clean white library-ish thing, daylight prairie is basically purple and evening, isle of dawn looks more like antartica, hidden forest looks kind of... less wet, valley looks like you’re playing on cold gloomy glass

What is the purpose of the candles?
•The Skykids must always bring a candle with them, without it they will be in great danger. The candles can act as their source of weapon against the darkness, which explains why they used it in the Fire Trial and to remove those waxes and burn the Darkness Plant.

The candles are also a way to unite with everyone, which is why a Skykid always gives their candles to the Elders so they can finally unite with the other Elders. This includes when they offer their candles as a sign of friendship and trust.

What are their weakness?
•Anything that's against light or fire. Rain is one of their weakness, mostly the black water. It sucks out their light slowly losing their energy, it's like someone is pulling them...who? Who knows...

The darkness is one of their weakness as well, just like from the fire trial...if there's a lack of oxygen and their surroundings are pure black, there's no doubt they will lose their light. This is why they must bring their candles at all times, if not...then that's their end.

Fire, notably, does not itself have any light refraction, just the stuff around it. It is possible that spirits aren’t made of pure light, but something else which is on fire

I'm not sure if someone has mentioned something similar before at some point but I have a headcanon that Sky kids name each other, since ingame randomly generated names are given to players you befriend, and they can't choose what you name them. I just think it's a really cute thing to think about.

Some theorize wasteland went to war over the use of diamonds. Due to one shield having a sun (light) and one shield having a diamond (darkstone). But then theres big ol Tsad-uhh wasteland Elder who has both the diamond’s side spear and a sun shield so its possible the whole army used both or they teamed up in the end.

Okay so, Eden is to return the light to the fallen, right? And in a way, the elders reward us when done? But then the elders know that skids will kinda die when they do so, going to Eden and getting impaled by rocks and all. And we’ll reborn, but did when we came here, we’re we sent by anyone? Maybe the elders? If so, I don’t think they would have known we would rebirth, seeing that the spirits are all... oofed, so was that like a death mission? Or did they know that we would be revived? Did the sky kids know? Okay, other than that, since our purpose is to bring the light, is our life just a never-ending loop of serving a task? And how does our light do anything? Maybe everytime we bring light, it slowly restores things

Oh valley elders were did many things other than entertainment such as racing and theatre which still is a significant part of a culture, it seems like Valley is also a center of astronomical study since we have a whole Orrery at its highest area. It's the most extravagant place in the kingdom (other than Eden Castle I assume) so don't you dare do the Valley elders dirty like that ever again
