I’m heavily leaning toward they were corrupted to become these new things as we lack evidence for their origins outside of them appearing in a time and place when things went to hell

If they were present or a form of them were present in isle prairie or hidden forest we could definitively say “they are their own species”

the way i interpret the mural, we have the whole kingdom - citizens, elders, light creatures, orbit itself, and the king at the centre of it all. he brought them together, brought light to the kingdom

So why do you think murals depict everything but krill and only in two murals are krill present (both at times that wasteland and its-industrial complexes were built)? Is the lack of krills in the earlier ages (isle, prairie etc) that they covered a different part of the sky world ?

imo i dont think wasteland's industrial complex had been entirely constructed by the time the coronation happened, we see only the very beginnings of it with tsadi and his turrets, and from the looks of it diamonds were relatively new tech as well since teth is holding her diamond up like she does in her cutscene - aka, "The Invention"
although it existed, it was new. i just think krills were around before then and were used as a general allegory for darkness

here's the concept about the ark:

Elder Creatures and their armies sacrifice themselves to destroy the Ark which explodes in the epic battle.

Oh let’s see.. I don’t have a lot to back it up it just makes sense to me. So the prince seems to be one of the youngest ppls in sky. He falls in isle when there’s already an established kingdom. Isle elder is left out of a lot of stuff, and the prince was created to either change or fight the king. It obviously didn’t work, so he retreated back to isle, to guide lost souls towards the fallen kingdom, and safekeeping the knowledge of the ancients, with himself as a young sky kid as the focal point of the cave paintings

Before you die you can do whatever you want. When you hit the limbo zone, and the base of eden, the elders/meagan force you to complete your climb. You can force close all you want but until it says you’re about to be reborn, you cannot access any realm, or have contact with any of your friends via warp. You’re closed off from the rest of sky. Without your consent, by the will of the elders. Also when you start out the gates are also closed?
