I personally believe it was a rebellion. The kingdom was very happy with how productive things were, and every area had their place and helped the kingdom prosper in its unique way. And then king decided to build the diamond to push the productivity into overdrive, and suggested the taboo of harnessing the light in Eden. I suppose crabs had started to be seen, perhaps krill.

King plans defenses, Wasteland fights with King, Vault goes Swiss and locks their self up in, well, Vault, and late to the party Wasteland switches sides. Then king turns the diamond on and just as a last resort. Sucks up all the light/life. From both sides.

Basically sky kids are made of clay, with their little light cores which is essentially their heart and holds their energy. Because of this they are malleable and can change their appearances, but not their tribe(animal species).

Going on to their organs(?) Or whatever. They have veins that carry light and "blood" which is liquefied red candle wax. They also use this to summon their red candles. Kinda weird but anyway. In this universe they do have food, but it is not required to live(in most cases) and is mostly for special occasions. When the food is eaten it goes to a stomach, Which is turned into light somehow, and goes to a "light stomach" connected to the light core. They also have lungs, used for bursts of energy like deep calling. I always think of it as screaming really loud.

It could be lore. Those two lines seem to be reminiscent to the valley twins. They also appear the be tilting to the right. Incidentally, in every pair shown in the valley: from the realm gate top to even the statues in the race, it's always the right one that has something broken.

So everyone here is (hopefully) aware if the geysers in sanc, and that points to volcanic activity. There is a theory of sanc being a dormant volcano, but, I’m here to propose another theory related to that, and it involves some geology so get ready

The Tectonic plate that NZ is on (the Pacific Plate) is getting pushed into the mantle by the Australian plate, this has lead to NZ having major volcanic activity. If Sky has tectonic plates (specifically areas like wasteland, isle, valley, and forest), that must mean the volcanic activity in sanc must be caused by sanc’s plate (well call that the Sanc Plate) must be getting pushed under by the Isle Plate.

So this could also point to sanc having earthquakes, too, as it must be on a fault line.

Then ever since the fall of the Sky Kingdom, these krills thrived under the polluted clouds to feast on the remaining light living in it, maybe explaining the dead whales in Graveyard.

I think the races where for entertainment and prestige. Just like the village of dreams there’s places in sky we don’t have access to yet. But you can see over the cloud cover that there’s home spaces for the previous sky ppls. The twins using the technology developed by forest where able to create a metropolis. Where young and old, Rich and poor, are able to enjoy sports.

I think the diamond was originally a connection to Orbit, so the people of sky kingdom could be reborn when they die. A “road to heaven”. But after it got corrupted, it got a little messed up. Thats why all the spirits are stuck in sad statue mode rather than being reborn. Trapped souls. My view anywho.

Maybe the poor lil sky babies are trying to go up to see if they can still find, meet and save the eden elder, only to realize more are up there to be saved, die in the process rinse and repeat.

When you fully die they take you to sky purgatory where you meet your light half. When you die outside of eden, the place for that is beyond the wind wall in home. You hug the light get your one wing back and they send you on your way

Once I flew over the gate from the first part of forest to the second, got extinguished, saw very briefly some words “you lost your flame, try not to let it happen again” or something and returned to home with all my eden buffs and collected WL intact.

there isn't any proof that the eden diamond was manufactured and no proof that it wasn't. stuff like mantas go to the same orbit we do for rebirth right? so that leads me to 2 conclusion,
1 the diamond was discovered in the mountain and it was draged up, shaped into what we see (beam was there already)
2 the diamond was manufactured and the beam is a indicator of where the best place to ascend was based on light creature patterns
