Yeah, the fins are a bit longer, but otherwise it looks very similar, just shown from the front
Agree
Could have been different stages of concept/design process
But I also think there was other much much larger light critters who we don’t get to see yet because they died.
I half feel theres an idea that its a kinda, evolutionary chain. Mantas become hexwing mantas become whales or canths.
Maybe so, there are definitely a lot of ideas that either didn't make it into the game or were scrapped while it was still in early beta, so it makes piecing things together more difficult lol
that elder manta looks s t r e t c h e d
Happy they dropped “war between creatures and elders” because the idea of all these big fishies going to war, well I just find silly.
I mean this one
I would think as they get bigger they get more of those dark bone like structures visible, but.....some of the little bird manta things in prairie have dark beaks/heads
Unrelated while I’m thinking of it:
Any chance this is an artistic interpretation of the megabird?
The other markings resemble the birds from the crab cave murals, and they all seem to be converging. Also, little boat man.
100%
yeah a old concept of megan is what that is
I am late to the party in this one.
WHEN YOU STAND IN IT
it’s megabird giving flame to the prince, from the old backstory timeline
IM SORRY WHAT KAMILICO???
I must go now. The waters call me.
When you stand in the water you can hear faint voices

I just woke up—
it’s meant to be office ambiance, like the sound of the office when they’re working
Ok maybe its just office noises
thank megan it isn't the water
Dkwjjwhwhwjd
But it does sound pretty whispery
It's telling u to do something productive
Thats their fault for making this game
Legit
Easier to hear if you’re floating, and angle the camera to be in the water. There’s a definite conversation. But I can’t tell what they’re saying.
it’s probably several people talking at once
I never pretend to know. It hurts too much.
I mean. Im sure its not important considering its office related.
But still interesting
Lmao ye we're past the office spirit gate now
Well probably. But it also sounds vaguely like someone is singing.
Aurora is practicing
Maybe a cut end credit song?
on a side note imagine the office island is boat man head
There is a tiny shining house on the hill before the water. It bothers me.
.hack// reference?
Aurora is the singer at the end orbit scenes and other places
so reference I guess lol
I am enlightened. Thank you.
she is also listed in the credits to
Didnt know theres office ambience there, BGM loud
what do yall think about the valley maze
i find it extremely weird that it exists in the temple-
It looks to be a storage of some kind though
theres like
a tiny bowl of stuff
then some pots n stuff
very fink fonk
i think i have a pic of it saved somewhere
like the lil scrolls
or rolling pins (my frist hought for whatever reason)
yes please
Also there's this random hole
holes of light in the ceiling of some buildings
like
are they just holes or
what if it rains 😃
well technically there shouldnt be rain bc theyre above the clouds right
wait
no
there could be rain
dhfhsdhhf
heck what if there's an AVALANCHE
clouds on top of clouds 😳
ventilation maybe? castles need holes right...? :v
and theyre above the clouds ur right. forest is the exception, is probably a bit under the cloud
i think valley suffered a rly bad snow/ice storm and/or weird erosion stuff bc a lot of the buildings n stuff seems to have sunk under (ex sliding race, citadel)
hm
yee if u fly up the ones on the left theres a secret social area !
i have some pics of it
its pretty plain tho
a boat some flat green ground and 2 benches
I guess so since other temples have ventilation- but doesn't the valley temple have high windows near the ceiling for that
then theres a pretty view of an entrance to rainfoest
hmm
ye
the lattice patterns
didnt they say that valley and gw shared the pattern
They did- gimme a sec-
well theyre there
i dont have pics either
but ive heard someone talk about it and i saw it
yeehaw
hmm
also i feel like the broken temple in gw is kinda an exact clone of the forest temple
oh it is
idk why that would be so tho
hmm
bc gw and forest are def related in some way
hmfsadhfahdfma
What are you guys talking about? I just came and there's so many text...
this server is rather active due to the large community so yea theres bound to be a lotta stuff
uh just talking about gw
golden
wasteland
ye mate, you exit valley temple and theres the space between there to the GW spiral entrance right?
they have the same roof style up until there
after that they GW use more bricks and stuff, no habitable buildings

When you think about it though why WOULDN'T they have the same architecture
They're part of the same Kingdom
i havent rly thought up of a good headcanon yet tbh FADHFH
And I'm not talking about them once possibly being one realm
i like to think that GW is the lower area/slums part of valley
i feel like an interesting (cursed 😳) thought/concept would be gw without pollution/effects of war
I mean them being literally part of the same Kingdom and you know- of course they'd share the same architecture-
It's not as cursed as you think when it's kind of plastered all over the level design tho
hmm
Though once I heard someone compare GW and Valley being two sides of the same coin
also another question i have about lore is why there are so many pipes
Might have been Brick-
Iirc both Valley and GW represent capitalism to some degree-
the pipes go all the way to eden btw
Valley being the glory of capitalism and GW being the dirty schemes used to achieve that glory or something along those lines
i also agree with/believe vok is a temple connected to gw
hmm
perhaps
valley is kinda in ruins tho
in a way
a lot of stuff is broken/lost under the snow
Valley may be in ruins but you can see that it's still a glorious place compared to the rest of the very dilapidated Kingdom
hmm
ESPECIALLY when put right next to the desolate Wasteland
guess we'll see a part of it recovered thru the new season
Citadel looks like it was built to last and showcase its glory for generations to come even after everything else has been tarnished with time
:0
oo
what would the big circley things be for
just for looks?
what purpose might it have had
But everything about Wasteland except for the King propaganda feels expendable
oo
Citadel does look like the town square/center of the city-
kinda in a way
The big one in the middle is believed to represent the solar system that the world of Sky is a part of
but I've no clue about those smaller spheres
Just two of them- plus the three in the Temple
wait no it might have been 2
maybe the smaller ones could be light and dark
idk
hmm
Theres 6 of em realms
What abt the number of spirits in the valley constellation?
yea i thought there were either 4 or 2 spheres in the citadel
if there were 4 then realms could make sense
:0
There are like- 7 spirits in the constellation though
hmm
also i feel like a common motif that might be significant is the structure of a huge mountain with a crack down the middle
And I don't know about them representing light and dark because I'm not sure that they were aware that there was a balance of some kind
dang, so its decor until proven otherwise :"v
thats where the megabirb/eden door is
was a trademark since Journey, they had that mountain too
It's also representative of a duality of some kind in Valley
then valley
then possibly in gw bc i remember thinking baout it lol
or maybe not in gw
hmm
prairie entrance too after isle :v
hmm
the more realistic version of walking inside a crook
wonder why these people were so obsessed with carving walkways inside gigantic rocks
or maybe those were natural and they thought it'd be cool to build around that
cus its free real estate, nobody would want to do so
in which case I'll praise them for their sense of aesthetic
hmm
well theres nothing in the sanctuary island crack
maybe it evolves over time
o for forest
maybe uh
in the middle/beginning part after the bridge could count
well
not rly
it is a hole of osme sort
but not rly a crack
Interesting topic I have walked into
cracks 👋 in 👉 rocks 🗻
Ah, entrance to sunny forest
Other than the one in Valley I'm not really sure if the other ones are that symbolic
hm
Invoking a sense of wonder for the surroundings maybe but not much else is notable
😭
also another thing
like the beginning part
after the first door
of forest
might be some type of dock
right
there are boats in their lil
idk
rooms?
good point
its their parking lot loool
the runes under the bridge show pots in boats flying in trees
🤩
also yet another question
if the rain is toxic why is the water nontoxic
in forest
and if mushrooms/fungi are parasits towards trees n stuff why are they plants of light
The plants do
maybe they steal light from the dead trees and thats where they get their own light
no like theyre also on stones
rly?
Ye
they prolly just need to use another object for elevation
in the underground cavern yeah
Yeyeye
Honestly that's the whole lore channel summarized
technically they do grow on moss(?) in the cavern
Yep
even tho its underground theres still light at the v top
We’re talking about my mushrooms?
yes
Yeyyeye
I love my mushes.
o ye they do grow on rocks too
hmm
and how did they get the technology for using light to open doors n stuff

The Prairie Elder shows that the ancestors turned light into butterflies, and the butterflies were stored in the pots. I believe they’re a form of fuel, as the flying boats don’t appear on murals until the first falling star mural, which is revealed to be a skykid.
Power diamonds
Despite how Underground Cavern is presented btw it doesn't look like it's at sea level
We have clouds at the bottom of it
That’s what I’ve gathered, yes.
Oh yeah
hmm
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
also Ali I see you've changed your name lmao
Yes
well another thing is that each elder seems to have one
Also, I don’t believe the clouds are natural. The murals in Cave of Prophecy seem to imply there’s something to do with that ascendancy ritual the season was about, maybe them being a byproduct of the ancestor’s technology. Like lost bits of light too diluted for them to use, but not so for skykids.
The Intro cutscene I think would hint at that too
we skids are environment-friendly hippies
See how after the Kingdom fell, most of it was covered in clouds
No his mech just looks so damn uglee
Is the figure in the ceiling the prince or the king, you think?
I just got done photographing what I could of the prophecy murals and isle of dawn murals.
The bridge/culvert mural seems to show the Hidden Forest colony or outpost in its heyday, making pots and diamonds for the other outposts to use.
I done killed the channel.
Nah relax I was tryna find this thing
somehow I'm still not convinced that's Forest but then again the logistics would be in my face like
? waiting for screens / theory to drop :3
Why would there be a mural of Wasteland in some random shrine under the bridge in Forest
That kind of thing
(There’s also an itty bitty shrine arch symbol behind the rocks. It cute.)
wait thats a gate no-?
Yeah seems like it. I just didn’t think of what to call it.
Very quick question concerning this mural though what could that tiny thing at the very top be
A figure above the temple that looks like a structure of some kind
Looks like Eden’s spire.
Eden's spire isn't visible there now, but I guess it could have been back then
But at the same time- Eden is depicted with different structures
Maybe it's like one of Valley's floating structures
exactly that yes
Aaaa speaking of eden
Gotta make da mep
Oh btw
Does anyone have the other isle temple murals
Dawn
Lmao
I need to take pics of the first few in the game because it shows the first sky kid landing
Which corresponds to this memory.
Oh the ushering stargazer spirit
yknow... that part changes a lot of theories in this game
that mean there's a small period where both ancestors and skykids could interact in the living world?
U know.. it could be that they're the same guy as in the mural
but
The murals seem to show that they were expecting the shiny boi
I don't think it could have been a skid that's anything like we see in game
Waving at him even
i guess he's the actual prince?
The most common theory is that the s.kid seen there is the prenc-
I think so, yeah. The other memory shows them learning and making candles to try to trap light or commune with the elder?
Where???
In the candlemaker's home
Pointing candlemaker
Oooh
Pointing Candlemaker- but I don't think that's the purpose that the candles could have been meant for
They don't trap the Elder- we see them interacting not only in this mural
But with the others in the other Prophecy murals
Not trap but kind of communicate? I dunno. Like. -I- get the impression it ties into the Fire mural in CoP, like, that was a proto-candle? But I could be. Way left field with that.
Candles are offerings to summon the elder (who could be either alive or dead by then)
barely anything- Isle Elder is the Elder most depicted on murals-
Oh ye
Those- just look like trees to me
He has the role of a shepherd
Others can at least learn to shepherd birds though, as seen with the 2nd spirit in the Laughing spirit's cutscene-
They are. It just gives me the impression that it might be how they got the idea of using candles for light trapping or holding? Idk. This fire is making the clouds that invigorate sky kids. Idk idk. Just my gut impression.
I think that mural more represents the actual trial itself?
'Cause you can see the fire creating smoke, and the Trial of Fire has a lot of black smoke.
Very possible! Very much so. Or might also show their level of technology pre-diamond. Idk!
I don't see how it could represent the trial itself when it doesn't depict the purpose of the trial itself
yep. aside from relevance with the fire trial, thats also the orange light we find falling down in Forest (usually during enchantment/daily quest)
Which makes me wonder- did the Trial of Fire come to be due to a Forest burning down?
You don't see a depiction of the dark worms, nor are there trees in the Trial
The area pre-temple seems to show signs of burning?
The Trials I think aren't made by anything physical- moreso they're just created in the minds of the Prophets
the Trials don't seem real at all, for one
Real in the physical sense at least- because we see that we learn wisdoms of some kind from it
But the only impact it leaves on the physical world is the summoning of their corresponding murals
Hm yeah-
Since when you "die" in the Trials you don't actually lose WL-
But then there’s the Winged Light “trapped” in each trial. But then we get into game mechanic vs lore.
wait what are those lil squiggles
darkness plants?
my first msg got deleted for whatever reason
I think those are tongues of flame.
👁️🕳️👁️
that... thats fire
They don't seem trapped more that they're lying there in wait
oo
but we dont
see fire
on trees much else
and the trees in the forest dont look very burnt
its been raining for 500 years 😂😂
Wait-
theyre not deformed in any way
Which realm was Fire related to again?
gw
🕳️👄🕳️
I got the impression Wasteland was a city at some point. Like. The apex of their Civ.
Hm so what if the fire burned down the pre-existing trees that were in Wasteland?
Since the mural in the first rainy area of Forest show that there were indeed trees in Wasteland.
hmm
i've been told that wasn't the Wasteland Temple-
Wasteland temple is a large obelisk
I've yet to make that apology even though I disagree-
O hm-
well maybe wasteland mightve moved their temple due to the war
And I'm not arguing that Wasteland was a city, but could it be possible that it was once a Forest-
That was cleared and burnt down to MAKE WAY for said city
bc at the beginning of wasteland is the broken temple which happens to be identical to forest
True.
This is interesting. I haven’t noticed that.
ye most of hte spirits seem to be dedicated to tearing down the place
we got miners, hunters, n lumberjacks
👁️💧👄💧👁️
akasjajk and here I thought you were referring to Wasteland-
They seem like frightened settlers, to me. Trying to eke out a living and get a foot hold.
I am lost. Mother, hold me.
ye the wasteland spirits all look so traumatized KFKASJKFJK
except for the courageous soldier
mans standin there like 🧍♂️
Well the Wasteland spirits were because they lived in the time of war so-
Courageous Soldier don't give a heck
ye
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Something minor I noticed about the Wasteland spirits by the way-
Their graves are weirdly far apart from one another in social space
if the courageous soldier really was one i feel like theyd be WAY to small to handle any of the weapons we see
hmm
They seem more isolated from each other compared to other realms
Well there isn't a lot of communication in between civilians in wartime so :/

Odd to notice. But is that a trend that was continued by Valley? They seem a bit more spacious than Forest, which is more spacious than prairie, than isle.
Valley had three spirits off to the side and that kind of bothered me a bit
hmm
The others are clustered closely around the gazebo-thing
In Forest, they're closely packed together
WAIT LMAO BAHAHAH IF U CMD F "HMM" IN THIS CHANNEL AL LTHE RECENT ONES ARE FROM ME :flushbluh
no

yes
In Prairie, they're found on a small hill- pretty close, with the exception of Laughing Light Catcher
Who's closer to the entrance
I used the wrong whose I am ashamed of myself-
Could be a thematic approach by the team, showing how through life, connections fall apart between people and isolation creeps in.
I find it neat that the Soldier is the closest one to the entrance of Wasteland
And then there was Frightened Refugee close to the bonfire
She deserves it she's pretty shaken up-
Refugee is an interesting term.
ye
Interesting to note that all the weapons and shields in GW are roughly the Elder's size, but the spirits are all normal size.
Yessss.
where did the frightened refugee come from?
Those spears are absolutely massive.
yea,, then what would the courageous soldier spirit have done for the war?
once I think it was said that the weapons in Battlefield were wielded by giant Ancestors
By a Dev iirc
Also, I realized that in the ark area, one of the obelisks was actually an anchor. The proportions in Wasteland are insane.
It's like all the main warriors were massive elder dudes, but the average guards and civilians are normal.
With cases of gigantism apparently
maybe they could be ancesters
ancestor
also another thing i have come to notice is the difference between the shipwreck and the ark in gw
Elders and Ancestors are canonically different from one another
So it can't be that Elders are simply 'giant Ancestors'
Could be from Light use? It seems to invigorate all of the elders once we expose them to our tiny light ball.
Welp. Gotta be huge to take on the Krill.
well ye
There's also Huge Spells
Because Spells still exist
my grammar is all over the place today I'm sorry-
Very true. Ark murals show how the spells were made and that they were in the process of distributing them, either for the war effort or commercially.
oop- gotta eat- keep going ya'll
You have killed us.
How did they invent spells in the first place though?
I restate my case about the jumbo wall behind GW temple
Wöll-
The murals seem to show something similar to the skykid falling. -some- kind of light fell, and they essentially bottled it up. They weren’t kept in jars, but the murals show spheres.
hm
Those bricks are like, practically as big as the prairie temple
Oooooo thie krill mural
Has it ever been established what they were fighting or defending against?
@exotic berry nope. Intentionally vague.
ive seen concept art of the wall i think and it was pretty interesting ,, i cant find it rn but i think there was one idea that at the end of the realm when exiting there would be a wall in which u could see ancestor spirits waving down while u pass thru ?
well not that wall specifically
what am i saying lmap
uh
but like
after that part
Prophecy also has a krill mural. They apparently got very close to get all of those details.
Seven Days of Sky is pinned if ya'll wanna check that out
okay Imma eat for real ciao
....but these holes in the walls were made by something rather gigantic.
Have we checked for any sort of siege weaponry or something similar that might have broken off of the attacker’s party?
There's that broken catapult in boneyard that's facing eden, but it's not that big.
Krill are big but I don’t think they did that. The skeletons in the vault suggest something that sized, along with the skeletons in the graveyard in GW.
Whurtles?
I see. We have a calamity on our hands.
but what wouldve happened for the whurtles to yonk bonk
Erm...I don't know why the whales would've attacked GW.
I think those bones are implied to be there because of the krill.
some question arise
- whos the dude next to the candle that activates it
- what did they yeet using it
- the handle seems to be the right size for maybe an ancestor spirit
Exactly. They were definitely working with the BugUns either defending or attacking.
Concept art seems to show the King going crazy and attacking from atop Eden. If the attacker was from the inside instead of the outside, it would make sense for the defense forces to turn their own catapult around.
Ahh. That would make some sense
i feel like the gw temple was sort of a last minute fortification tbh
I dislike this theory though because how would you figure it out without seeing the concept art?
hm
for the sole reason that its super empty on the inside 😭
The caltrops set up on the -outside- of the barrier that leads to GW’s temple also undermines the “attacker from within” theory.
Well, if the only real foe was the king himself, it's be like Earth Kingdom going against the Avatar. Pretty much hopeless.
didnt people notice that there were both sun n diamond shields or sumn
so would that mean there were two teams
hhh
Also pretty useless against Krill.
True true. I just. The king going crazy wouldn’t really explain why their fortifications were set up well in advance.
I haven’t noticed yet. Do you have pics?
i think i read it somewhere in one of the lore docs
Ahhhh. Okie doke. I need to do the same. It’s more exciting to see what I can come up with first haha.
I wonder. If the king was pushing back against a rebellion by the elders.
They were colonial outposts and eventually tried to rebel for one reason or another? But that wouldn’t make sense with GW elder since he’s actively seen as a defender.
hmm
the Wasteland elder has a sun on his shield but a diamond on his spear
maybe the sun was associated with defense while the diamond was associated with offense
hhh
idk
man
😔
In the concept art apparently the diamonds were a symbol of progress and corruption. I think the diamond would show whatever it was on was aligned with the king(dom).
I think I shall poke around GW now.
@ me if anything interesting comes up or if I’m wanted/needed.
yeaa
Oh mai- I'm back-
oh- we're talking old beta Tsadi-
And I mean- if we're forming theories about a game with a vague story like this one, I feel it isn't too unreasonable to go digging through concepts
Of course, it doesn't mean the concepts themselves are canon, because we truly have no idea how much of it carried over in the final product
also this hm
"For a while Dusk was not touched, but then we revisited the level after coming up with the ancestor stories — this was going to be a place where Sky's ancestors built a giant ark to survive the apocalypse."
apocalypse?
Apocalypse is kind of iffy- and if it was talking about the Eden diamond going out of control then the construction would have been taking place after that initial disaster
Alternatively it was predicted by some prophecy that the second coming was fast approaching Revelations style
Exploring the first area after social space of GW
I can’t tell if those are aqueducts, pipes, fancy arches, or a walkway.
looks reminiscent of roman aqueducts
and considering valley has roman/greek inspiration, i wouldn’t be surprised if that seeped into GW as well
I learned a thing. I shall be on the lookout for moar.

Hee hee. “In the land of the noseless, the two-nostriled man is king.”
there’s lots of statues around sky depicting rather humanoid creatures, with eyes and mouths and noses, yet the actual people of sky don’t have humanoid facial features...
Is the eden realm is also have elder like other realm?

When you become ghost you dont need to sniff
<<The Eden elder isn’t around to be saved anymore>>
Short answer yes
Long answer yes- and we suspect that they're either the King or the Prince
That sad..
Or both depending on who you talk to-
I like to think if Sky kids came a little sooner it would have played out like the concept art, saving Prince from Inside King which I think is saving him from himself. But now they are too late and he has.....transferred to something else.
With rebirth being such a deal, I don’t think death is that big a thing. All the spirits go on with their days till they get to return to orbit and go on vacation in the meantime so in order for someone to stop existing in the world like that, I could only see that the soul energy is still there, but in a changed form.
There's also the possibility that the Eden Elder could be so far gone that redemption simply isn't possible for them
or they're in extra limbo
pipes :-) saw someones tiny interpretation of the structure
i just think that its gonna be some extra area that willl later be used for a future seasonal area or smth like that
king 🤠
I think hes literally too far gone also. Can’t even find him.
many of them look too different to depict the same person
there’s two types of statues in valley, for example, that have humanoid features yet one is masculine coded and one is feminine coded, with different body types, clothing, etc.,
they can’t all be of the king because they’re all so distinct they can’t be the same person
hell, the only king statues we see confirmed are statues with no facial features at all, only a mask
Hey do u guys have theories on what the blue eggs in the forest are?
I believe they’re leftovers from an event. They were intended as a literal Easter Egg and had a small quest associated with them. I could be mistaken though.
Nah they're literally just Easter Eggs
Yes
Nothing new yet. Just more of the same. O Well~
The statues in valley? But not the twins statues right? Hum, I can’t remember any other statues with faces that looked different.
These swords are massive.
i was told it was also in lore chat and really i'm compelled to believe there really are giants
and it's weirdly small despite what we see in-game
I'd send pics except I'm trying to stave off the action movie sound effects- freaking Die-Hard-
Yeah there it is
Wasteland is corrupted and Vault doesn't corrupted
Vault is heavily fortified- and is a high-priority building
They likely wanted to make sure that this place at lest was free of corruption
Being nestled in between two heavily corrupted realms though
That Vault is pretty clear of corruption is nothing short of impressive
Flat-out the only realm without darkness plants in it- but houses crabs in Archives
Vault only have crabs on the other area
It's kind of strange to me that the most heavily guarded area in Vault is the one with the only traces of corruption in it
Sure it was broken into- but wouldn't that corruption have inevitably spread through the rest of Vault given enough time?
I think the destruction doesn't big enough to destroy vault
Reiterating that Vault is heavily fortified
Vault have somekind of power shield protect from eden and darkness
Although the crabs are technically from darkness.
Light nets- those starry floors?
Could be, but have we ever seen light being able to completely ward off a force of darkness?
On a side note, doesn't Valley also not have dark plants? (save for the maze at the very end)
Also, the diamond explosion?
Valley is also very lit
Yeah
The diamond explosion that we normally refer to is the Eden diamond
The red core?
you know that giant glowy spinny thing from Eden
yeye that
We suspect that the only reason that it's out of control the way it was was because it was overloaded somehow
Thus- leading to an inevitable explosion
Overloaded with skykids dying to save the fallen ones
okay only is a strong word- but that's an inference that's been consistent
jiggle jiggle
And I'm not sure that it's sky kids exactly that was powering that thing
It could be powered by a variety of things- the Elements from Prophecy or the Ascension Beam that was already there for example
But for skids to have been the thing powering it- multiple skids would have had to exist even before they were needed-
The storm
Light creatures are also a possibility since Eden is kind of void of them
Save for the birds that pass through the pipes
The birds are the power for the diamond
Maybe they were locked out of that system at some point?
Falling from wherever it was that they were- committing a grave sin or otherwise- could have locked them out of the system
Can't tell if it's a proximity issue or a moral issue though
Constellation?
Ahhhhhhh TST 2.0
Because if you 100 realms constellation the elder will appear
the motivation I somehow still can't wrap my head around
I kind of wonder if they KNEW it was an Ascension beam to begin with
Because it's always kind of confused me since the first time ya'll referred to it as that
that's the primary reason why the motivation for Pyre's version of TST confused me so much
Just- were the Elders always aware that they could use that beam to return to Orbit?
Assuming it was meant for that in the first place
Or maybe the elders can't use Ascension Beam to go back orbit because all realms are not make by elder. Instead of elders make the realm, eden elder make the realm and the elder for other realm control it.
And they can't go other realms or orbit because the lockout the eden elder make
I don't think the Elders created the realms either but they did certainly play a hand in advancing them to be the civilization that once thrived in that planet
Or the Meagan make the realms and lockout it.
The realms looked as though they were just already there by the looks of Prophecy
And they only really started to become separate realms when the Elders fell and reigned sovereign over specific places of the Kingdom
ye the fink fonk of the archives rly makes my brain go wrrr
And if we're to believe that the Eden Elder really is that glowy boi in the murals, I'm not sure if they'd been there long enough to have created the realms
Heck- if they WERE that glowy boi, it suggests that Isle was already just there
It's possible that it's only after when he'd completed the Trials- he might have assisted in creating the new realms?
Eden wasn't made until the Elders fell though
Elders: ooooo this place rank- time for a makeover wouldn't you say Prenc
proceeds to go nuts with the elements
he took the mountain with a big freaking laser that they probably know works
and Vault Elder took the foot of the same mountain because letting an immortal with the mentality of a teenager rule the Kingdom in a place with a huge laser was probably gonna bite them all in the behind at some point
Are there any other doorways that have this effect? Where light is drawn through it? Cloud tunnels not withstanding.
I wouldn't call it a doorway but Crab Cave in Sanctuary has the same effects
Just- random long white things flying seamlessly in the air from out of nowhere and it confuses the hell out of me
what are they- streamers- f i s h-
fish scales???
But a condensed area in Sanctuary Caves
with minimal relation to Wasteland might I add-
In my head, the story for GW is... some kind of rebellion, led by most Elders. War goes down, they were able to fortify because it was fomenting for quite a while (maybe a tie in to the
spirit, due to his refusal to ship something?). The war doesn’t quite go as planned for King, with Vault Elder locking herself up during the conflict, all Swiss style, and GW eventually siding with the other elders. King decides enough is enough, triggers Eden’s diamond, and each of those towers that bear his likeness are powered by smaller diamonds. He ends the conflict by reaping the light from both sides, with those gates acting to channel it, and direct it. This massive amount of death would also explain why GW is so foggy, if the clouds we see are infinitesimally small bits of light broken off, like we saw in the Cave of Prophecy. Maybe that’s what’s being seen in CoV. Not a celebration of ascension but rather King being surrounded by rebellious underlings.
Yeah. I just noticed that in the CoV mural, behind GW Elder, there are king turret-towers. And I -think- that little triangle thing beside the ziggurat-building is Vault Elder. I didn’t notice till after I posted.
There's also a detail that's worth pointing out in that before you even get to SEE glowy boi, you have to light up the braziers
Suggesting somewhat that they'd had to cover something up
I feel quasi-accomplished now.
We are prenc
Technically that's true according to some interpretations-
Replayed Vault Elder’s cutscene and it just seemed to be a possible interpretation. In which case this is all cleaning up daddy’s mistakes, and getting a lesson in empathy?
Daddy is close-
More like we're cleaning up our own mess
The gist of the idea behind the skids being reincarnations of the Prince/King is that after the Eden disaster, they were split into several beings
Either by themselves or by Megan's intervention
And so the sky kids we’re saving are all previous incarnations trying to... ? Turn off the diamond? Use it to reincarnate and pull ourselves together?
Then we just kind of go around cleaning up the mess and never actually being able to solve the problem that is the raging storm of Eden
Turning off the diamond I think is one thing that we are explicitly not able to do
Also, is there any in-game references to sky bird aside from the few home statues?
Because that isn't our job- destroying the diamond
Our job is reliving spirits, helping them move on- bringing the lost stars home
And by skybird do you mean Megan-
Yuh
There's the ending cutscene- one shape that's presumed to be Megan appears at the very end of the credits
You can also see her silhouette in Orbit- somewhat
Like the allfather, background intelligence in Nordic myth. Gotcha.
Another nod to her is seen in the gateway to Office- that swirling pool of water
though it's minor seeing as Office isn't canon
wonder if Ani's troops would ever succeed in capturing this literal supercluster of an entity
Basically lore chat wanted to assert their hatred of Megan
Because a lot of us are pretty divided on whether or not she's a good god
A lot of the doubt stems from her basically sending child-like beings off on impossible, endless, painful missions to clean up the mess that they technically never had a hand in
You might have seen them around- they pop in pretty often in lore chat
Oh right Radian was part of the troops-
Heck sometimes I'm like maybe she already knows you're coming because there's only always eight of you coming at her at a time-
nah I greet my death with open arms
Megan take me
Oh. Uh. Chat does not like that word. Which is. Weird.
TS is the perfect time to create a fringe religion based around Megan? Is that better chat?
Ohhhhhh that word-
Vulture mask
oml
I'm there just for the sweet emote that is hospitality incarnate
I have none of them. And am poor in wax.
Obviously he is a follower of the Prairie Elder.
No no. It adds flavor to the text.
He should be dropping by today. Like. In an hour I think? As the quest tips over. I wish we got pots ourself. In any case. I guess that’s as far as we can take this in lore chat. Blah.
Howdee
There's also Rejecting Voyager though
Voyager has a pot on his back- and is commonly associated as being a follower of Isle Elder
And butters
Don't forget butterflies
Oh ye welcome is in Isle aren't they
wonder if they use pots as jet packs sometimes
I'm drawing this
i'm just picturing Prairie Elder nyooming around in those
enters the race and gives the twins the smuggest face when he propels past them at mach 10
They don't know about his secret weapon
the p o t
Wassup
if you think about it, doesnt the part in village, where you're being carried up to the temple by the manta, look exactly the same as reaching summit of vault?
similarities: mantas revolving around platform, sky kid rides them, and reaches the top.
differences: different realm, different mantas and the vault manta goes in a circle first

I think the game designer make that
And the Vault design's are going upwards, not straight line or something.
Guys did u know that u can get to the international space station in Sky
At the office
well
space day

#completed-sky-fanart-and-creations message
Cool, I didn't know that
ooh thanks for the info!
np fam
This bug is highlighting the gliphes
Oooooo
I had a big brain moment about the glyphs
behold
theyre pictograms
this looks like nonsense but i swear, it’s way more progress than we had before
yo, that does seem legit 😮
imo the
iii) one elder commanding the other ancestors to do something
viii) candle/light itself (or at least one of them must have stood for candle, a main element in the game?)
thats definitely a possibility
Hi! I’m quite new in the lore fanbase but I like reading all the great theories out there
as long as I don’t know much, are there any theories about the king being killed by the elders? I just found this again in sanctuary and felt like something was wrong..
might have something to do with heat
often geysers are only found around volcanic activity, if fire recharges us maybe boiling water or lava would too
Skykids chilling in a lava pit like hot springs
what
oh no- ples- spare me-
raise a glass for bug
It's 11 P freaking M
Lmaoooo,, same
it’s 10 am for me

cool
w a t e r
yes
say that does kind of raise one question though
Are the Elders capable of killing one of their own
Even if they're basically the freaking Avatar
maybe their combined power
i’d say so yeah
i mean
glances at gw elder’s broken shrine
i think they already have
Isn't he technically not dead though
well
as close to dead as a god can get yanno
Fair enough-
At the expense of themselves being subjected to much of the same fate, though?
wdym ?
Wasteland Elder and Isle Elder at least look like they'd been hit pretty hard with... SOMETHING
But otherwise they all ended up in the same place
In not-limbo
All reduced to being something that isn't quite being alive
do you think they knew that would happen, though ?
it’s likely they didn’t
considering there doesn’t seem to be any action on their end « preparing » for their eternal timeout
Or breaking out of it, it looks like? Or maybe they'd just given up after a certain point
it looks like the twins tried to get out, but the others not so much
The Twins have just kind of been lounging around and Prairie Elder straight up hibernated
oh to be prairie elder and hibernate for a long, undisclosed period of time...
god i wish that were me
anyway- Isle Elder flat out couldn't get out because of his sightlessness I guess? And Forest Elder's rendered powerless without her tools
gw elder has Oof Ouch My Back syndrome
Wasteland Elder looks like he needs a pension plan every time he tries mustering bravado-
you mean arthritis-
And Vault Elder is just- idk, reluctant?
arthritis is more commonly found in hands, elbows, and knees
Oh- shoot there goes my arthritis elder joke
imo vault seems depressed
cough they can't get out because they lost their wisdoms cough
At least the ones who were given the elemental lights cough
hm
makes sense for forest and valley, but how are prairie and gw missing their wisdoms ?
i mean, gw legit lept from fricken high in the air and landed on their feet like a cat, i’d call that brave
Prairie just fell asleep- and I guess in some twisted manner that's its own kind of resilience
Aw gosh words WHERE
You don't see him suffering before or after
Merely yawning off his problems and moving forward
« hunker down and wait » is the most earth thing i’ve ever heard
I'll leave yall with that and imma sneep
It's Christmas who needs sn e e p
We have no noche buena so I can just sneep the night away
Ohhh
if I could I'd yeet the rest of my fruit salad to wherever you are
And my frozen holiday ham
Maybe a block of cheese
I
But I like my cheese
I've never tasted a block of cheese—
w h a t
coughs lore
you never tasted c h e e s e
Oh sorry-
oh sorry
cheese is the least of our concerns
No no,, a block
oh
Maybe cheese could've solved Sky's problem
I
Cheese solves everything
I mean.. they juice mantas
Manta Cheese
but does mantas have milk?
Could the Elders being in this depowered state have directly been like... From whatever happened to the Eden Elder
O
:o
i mean yeah there's a connection clearly but
Direct intervention from the Elders is scarily plausible
And I say that mostly because I've been hearing them all be in cahoots for the past few months
i don’t see why they wouldn’t be in cahoots, they knew each other and all fell from the same place
Hi! What's the actual topic about?
Oh nice
And once you mentioned Brick that you viewed the King as a victim than a tyrant
And because one of your theories involve the King having descended way later- in child form, could you have been referring to something along the lines of puppeting the King since the Trials?
Grooming the perfect monarch to suit the rest of the Elders' needs?
i'm drawing straws here of course because of my lack of beta experience and general slowness
Man thats just cruel
It's not too hard to imagine-
yeah that’s the way i see it basically
They did the same thing in Pokemon Black and White
he was a kid with godlike powers, being a direct descendant from the megabird, so all the elders decided to take advantage of that to suit their own needs
oh my god it's N but with six Ghetses instead of one
Damn
okay potentially five
i think the only elder who didn’t do that was isle, which is why he was kicked out, to shrink the child’s support circle to only the people who would
a) keep this quiet
b) profit from this
Ah- there's the five-
I think it makes sense it'd be Isle Elder who'd deviated- seeing as how this guy's probably been with him since the start
Prophecy notwithstanding
yeah
and he’s meant to be how newborns see adults, i feel like he’d be more compassionate simply by the fact he’s built to be a dad
His realm bearing the Birth motif probably helped-
heh
bearing
It's funny to me that this old man who's catching up on his years is somewhat gentler soul than the gentle giant Elder though
cruel people aren’t always cruel on purpose
Might be the case for him I guess
I can see Forest and Valley Elders being more mean-spirited about it
valley elders seem like the kind of dudes to shove people in lockers
God that probably happened with a young Prenc
Just-I know that two player door with nothing in it was for a Seasonal Event but I can't help but squint at it
Wasteland and Vault seem to be the more traditionally professional mentors though
Vault especially- who I have a feeling spearheaded the puppetry
: where’s the prince ?
: haven’t seen him all day sir
: no clue where he could be
: [muffled yelling from the 2 player door]
:
god poor Prenc
vault gives me shifty advisor vibes
exactly my take- like a less sinister and megalomania-ridden Ghetsis
huh
Vault gives me that one art teacher that will scold you that Anime is not art or smthng
ngl
anime is an ART style hhhhhhh
ye
realism is sophisticated but dangit it's not the only art form worth existing
freaking elitists-
Anyway
kinda have a feeling they left the nurturing to Prairie Elder
i see it more like
the advisor who acts like they act like they have the reigning monarch’s best interests at heart, but behind the scenes they’re working on overthrowing the monarch in the cleanest fashion possible to give themselves power
