there r sparks and there are dust.
sparks recharge players and slowly leak off of its hosts.
we call that charging flight energy
a variant of the sparks is the stasis sparks, which does the same thing, but keeps the recipient in a weak stasis field for more effective recharging
dust is somewhat different.
dust is the predator species of the sparks.
unlike sparks, they do not move from one host to another.
they constantly suck the light out of the host which leaves the host in a constant state of hunger, which causes its need to take light.
the host`s immune system keeps fighting off dust and large clumps of dead dust fall off the creature in what we call shedding dust.
but the dusts' reproduction rate is massive and they just keep coming.

The big red Diamond, I think, is the Eye. It got messed up during the King’s rule and it exploded, thus sending the top of the mountain and part of the castle into orbit. And triggered both the storm and the avalanche.
At least in my opinion.

I think some intro cards warn about krill attacking you to “consume your light” so it’s probably more of a predatory reaction. The red light being the krill equivalent of the cat butt wiggle before the pounce.

Hi, hi! So I was discussing this earlier in the beta chat. It's about the season teaser. We made up some kind of theory.
First of all, it's about the true order of the seasons but it's based in time-line, Prophecy, Dreams and Enchantments would be the first seasons. The thing is that we don't know which one would go first but we put an order based on the things we know from the game and teaser, the order of this seasons: Dreams, Rythm and Belonging.
The first one would be the season of Dreams, why? With the info we got we assumed that the spirits that looks at the girl skating (the one with a hair suspiciously similar to the sparkle spirit could actually be her but older) and is wearing a mask that is the same as the ult gift from Rythm is the predecesor.
Rythm would be the second one after this new season, in Rythm the dream of the little skater of doing a performance in the coliseum would become true.
And Belonging would be the third one. In this season we would get to see a young sparkler, this could be a way of seeing her memories or as someone suggested (Snowclaws)" she could just become younger to fulfill her dream". Also it's suspicious that she's the spirit that can be found inside the temple of valley, this feels like something more than a coincidence.
That's all we got for now. There are some holes in our theory so we would appreciate if we got some help from this chat , we know that there's a lot of people that's into the sky lore, cause I'm not lol. So there could a lot of mistakes in this.

Okay, this is a dream I had that I guess could be a theory about how the krills came to hate us skykids... In the dream, there were skykids who were literally sucking the fire out of an endless bunch of candle sticks like the Dementors in Harry Potter. Once their stars lit up like how Godzilla recharges, they flew away to breathe that same fire at white krills whose red lights acted like shields. Unfortunately for the krills, there were too many kids and they got burnt and that’s why they’re black and crusty because nothing they do will repair their skin. We know that they live somewhat in the sky, there are ruins in the Golden wasteland, humans invaded that area - and obviously there humans before as the light has told us. The humans could’ve moved or died out, or the spirits could’ve moved to the skies thus Sky Children. Maybe Sky children are learning the spirits emotes to somewhat portray as humans, maybe they wear masks to look like a human, the capes to maybe cross to another dimension like the human world?
