It is a phenomenon in ww in the isles south asia. Planes landed on islands where tribes men lived. Once war ended they left, and tribes men used the left over technology in hopes to call them back. Thus, it is possible that races also may be slightly missued from what they were originally used for.

There's something that can possibly support that theory.

When you light the crying miner, there's a point where they are trying to help someone sitting down, and it looks like they can't move because their leg is injured. When coming across that, a dark plant begins to grow in front of us.

I was talking with my friend about how Sky is kind of similar to Greek culture, in a certain way. Let's think that this prophecy certainly exists since the first fall of the kingdom, and we're at the second fall now (everyone died and the sky kids were born). I think to prevent the fall of the kingdom, the King sealed it, they could become paranoid with the fact that the kingdom may fall again, so all the gates and stuff are there to prevent from something to attack them, however, the king haven't realized that the exploration of light would become a part of the problem.

In greek culture our destiny is our fault, but not just ours, since the gods usually helps to seal it too. Just gods, semi gods, and people very rich or being part of the family of the king can have a destiny, they're called "superior man" .

Let's have in mind that the Elders are superior creatures, so they have a destiny. If they have a destiny and a prophecy, something is superior to them. I think they're splitted parts of one creature that fell down after the first fall, so it explains why the Valley twins have one mechanical arm each
