So, first and an easy one. The trip in vaultbis a trip through memories. Fragments from the architecture of representing levels are there. It doesn't make sense for these structures to be in vault just vecause. And note, the further you ascent to adulthood, the more plain and fragmented the things become. Maybe symbolism for dementia.

So my thoughts are that Journey represents the first fall, as well as Sky represents the second fall
There was a prophecy, and advise, that the spirits didn't listened
And I think not all the spirits died right after the apocalypse
I think elders died to seal the storm in Eden, and after that the spirits died too. At least I have a theory that all bodys of the elders are burried in vault, and who burried them was the praying spirit. It seems like their friends died and he was left alone, so he burried everyone from vault as well as the elders, in the last floor
For me it makes sense because there's grass on the ground, so it's possible to burry someone there, and in the other temples we have just rocks near our feet
I'm writing on a notebook everything that I realized so far, I can share the screenshots here later.
