the pre-corruption king was white and gold. like the other elders, like the sky, like Mega bird herself. that proves that the king was once pure. and how do we know it’s the king? we don’t, but those statues are put in wasteland in front of the corrupted king because why? what other elders were placed there? none. the uncorrupted statues are smaller, standing before and in front of the bigger ones, the corruption, saying that that used to be the king. and look at the shape. pointed head (obv dif mask) broad shoulders, no legs or arms showing

I think all the different floors of vault were built very slowly and with time, their technology grew
I will reference spirit memories here
On the first floor, they still used ladders (we can even see them in the main area and in the archives), and by the time they completed the second, they mastered telekinesis (seen in a spirit memory). Then, soon, they learn how to float.
Which means that their technolgy developed as they kept researching.

I have a theory about the creatures and wl. The winged light were children that didn't make it through, and they eventually died. The krills are elder's that abused their power and were cursed to roam the wasteland and eden. The crabs are spirits that did not respect the elders, and eventually inhabited a crab's body instead of becoming a spirit when they died. Manta's and other light creatures are children who did a good job, were nice, respectful, and had a good soul. When they died, the elders let them decide to look upon other kids, or help carry them places. They decided to carry them, and turned into light creatures. The new things in the Fire Trial became from when krills helped the children instead, and were turned into one of those so that they could not.

What if the cape is not a cape, but a blanket? We know the eden elder, be them prince, king, or otherwise, is not around to be saved. And we know that WL are the "imprints of The Child of Light"

We also now know for confirms that someone, probably Shiny Boi, set up all the beacons, delivered light, and had a huge job just kinda thrust on them.

This could all come together with us collecting all of what is left of the child, and rather than going to Eden (needed to get more pieces, and maybe something from the elders... But not nessasarily needed for the last step), we go someplace quiet to put the shiny boi to sneep for the last time.
