At the base of the mural, we can see an island. Slightly above that, there are a few spirits (they look the same as the ones on the Isle murals, can't quite remember how many there are) In the sky above all that, we can see clouds. Inside those clouds, there is some kind of half circle door. there is a little trail leading up to the door and I think it might look a little bit like the prophecy cave. Above the clouds we can see 2 stars falling down (3 trails, but one of the stars has already disappeared into the clouds)

So, where can we see remains of possible whales? Forest, GW and Vault. Is it plausible to say the whales suffered heavy losses due to the advances and expansion of civilization and their impact on wildlife? Not an original hypothisis, I know...

I think the current mural (the one that appears after water trial) shows the 4 prophets along with the Isle elder (the one with the horns, cause they look like his mask) creating the caves of prophecies.
In the first scene ,we see,stars fall, which is probably the continuation of the intro where the stars fell. The star that fell in Isle was the Isle elder, I still don't understand how the prophets came to be but let's just say they existed for now.
Then in the cutscene, we see Isle elder and 4 figures which I believe to be the 4 prophrts appear, which means that they are in Isle of dawn.
In the next scene we see a patch of clouds clear, and some stairs and a cave entry appear. This represents the cave of prophecies. This whole scene depicts Isle elder and 4 prophets making the hidden caves with their powers.

and 2: that they saw in infrared
my main idea for the whole "living underground" thing is mainly inspired by the sensory spots on a krill's model around their "eye", you can see it on Reika's modded models very well! the general shape of their pointy head and body would make a smooth digging/burrowing body but their horns is the only discouragement for that idea
this idea also goes hand in hand sorta with the idea that dark creatures see in infrared! seeing light and darkness as solid colors and not seeing what the sky children actually look like.
it would help them see in pitch black, if they were in a cave or something, i think that idea is cool.
this idea was generally just for an rp because it sounded cool and i loved the idea but it was inspired minimally off of crabs hitting fires out idly

So my theory is:
Isle: A small town a place that civilization started got attacked by krills hence the holes.
Prarie: Sort of got damaged hence the BIG holes and the sudden stop of the bell towers.
Forest didn't get attack but the krills tried to but knocked trees instead so they retreated cuz the trees are close together.
Valley: Again. they retreated into fear because of the warriors, and some warriors led them to Golden Valleys (Golden Wasteland)
