I’m wondering about the meaning of the subtitle in the trial... it says “each contender is divided by time”, so there’s two interesting parts to this:

1. We are ‘contenders’ which kind of has a competitive connotation between us
2. We are “divided by time”. Does this refer to each skykid having to complete the trial on their own? If so is this because the trial is outside of time and space like an elder cutscene, or does it mean something else?

I had a theory that the centre spirit in the prophecy teaser is suppose to be us in a different timeline, and that the reason that the four prophets have longed to meet us is that they had the prescience that we would become the fifth prophet and savior to the kingdom of sky..., my evidence is that the pants on the centre spirit is not exclusive to the season, the hair, and mask also, the instrument is exclusive to the season but I conjecture that we attain the instrument by embarking on the four ancient trials and the instrument was destined to us.. Also why the center spirit can not be the questgiver is the mask does not have an aura as in-game and the height of spirit in comparision to the four prophets do not match the in-game representation.
