Crebs color. The red colored ones in valley are just lighting issue (i have a pic of them being white colored but don't wanna clog the channel with my crab pics).

You see everyone says they change color (grey-white) for lighting issues too but my own personal theory is they're gray in the sun to absorb sunlight while pale inside caves because irl cave creatures are pale in color due to no sunlight and uv rays inside

Back to Ophanim Angels (cuz I like to for a while)
They are depicted as flaming gyroscopes that has eyes all over the circles, are in golden color, moves like a UFO, and burns your eyes when you look at them, and how there is mysterious thing in the center of the gyroscope, either depicted as a small light baby, or just a blinding divine light
This also became a bit of a meme at some point

They look like that to scare off demons

I would think when we summon the friend to give friend light it's not actually the friend, just us thinking of them hard so the light knows where to go. Hence the blue. Your own memory of the person manifests, and then the memory of you lighting it's candle is there for when the friend collects. It's not that you or the friend is dead, just not immediately present and just leaving a memory to say hi next time they wander by as you'll probably be elsewhere at the time.

Yes Teth wasn't too nice abt finally getting the light, but remember, after everything that has happened - possible war or riots, the destruction of Eden, Wasteland, Vault, darkness taking over and the king being corrupted - they will have different strengths, reactions, triggers and so on. Teth seems greedy, i think she's just been so deprived of her passion, she's been so cold and alone, that she finally sees the chance to bring back ehat she loves and just takes the opportunity without a care

OK SO IF ANYONE REMEMBERS I had a theory where the King and Corrupted King were different ppl and they were both needed to keep balance in Eden and teach the Prince to prepare him to be the Elder. I said that bc of possible riots against the corrupted King ( which could have been lead by the Prince ), bc of the statue we find lying down in Eden, we theorized that's the dead Prince. I added the riot element in a separate theory bc there are both sun and diamond symbols in different realms. An army, especially an army of mixed people, will have different symbols on their weapons ofc, so i support it was a riot that went terribly wrong and not a civil war.

So anyways, the corrupted King could have been unaware that the Prince was leading, since the corrupted King's ways went against the virtues he'd be taught and he had childish innocence. The corrupted King could have wiped out everyone with the destruction of Eden, along with the Prince himself, since he didn't know he was in the crowd.

I theorized that the King (not corrupted) is the Isle Elder, he fled and faked his identity as an Elder basically. I had few points for that but eh not gonna explain. What if the only reason the Isle Elder approaches us is bc he mistook us for the Prince?

so the book i reffered here is titled "Semua Ikan di Langit" (which translated as "All the Fish in the Sky), written by Indonesian writer named Ziggy Z.

simple summary of the book :

The main character in “Semua Ikan di Langit” is a bus which operates in Bandung, West Java. Instead of humans, its passengers are a mother roach who just gave birth to five babies in a lab; then, a school of halfbeak fishes swimming around the bus, which enable the bus to fly; and apparently a boy who provides power for the fishes, so that the bus can travel in time and space.

why this book remind me of sky? well, seems like we can conclude it from the book title . Flying fish also hold an importance in this book. These fishes also have abilities to produce light (depending on the boy emotion; if he happy, the fishes will produce and even exploded into golden lights that will become stars. if the boy sad, the fishes will fly high up to the sky and become rain/produce darkness)

one interesting note, these flying fishes are originally spirits. Dead humans or animals will become these flying fishes and keep following the boy.

while this concept kinda remind me of the constellations. we all know ancestors are stars, and the elders are the whole constellation. it might can be concluded that without the stars, the constellation will not exist

One has tracked down - with help from my glamorous and hopefully asleep assistant - all twelve shields in the battlefield! 6 with the sun design, 5 with the diamond design, one presumed and henceforth referred to in diamond design stats but is face down in the sand. It's the diamond design's shape.

All of the sun shields are directed as though protecting the shrine - indeed all but one point away from it, and that other one points down the steps leading to the entrance but at a side.

The 2 diamond shields furthest from the shrine also point away (I would theorize they may be part of the barricades, as with two out most sun shields, but us into theory).

HOWEVER! The remaining diamond shields point towards the temple, not away from it. In the case of the face down one, if you stood it up so the bottom was at the bottom it would. These are mostly in the really busy bit right by the temple, where most of he weapons also are

(I did draw locations and arrows over the map from help. It's kinda terrible and on my laptop which is a hissy fit rn)

Oh also can be verified: wasteland elder carries a sun shield in his cutscene, and the one against his shrine is the same

What follows is conjecture alone

From this, I would theorize the diamond shields belonged to a group or army attacking the shrine. Diamonds are understood to be symbols of progress, and the shield shape is also more modern. The wasteland elder is on side of tradition .

The two outward facing diamond shields were from an earlier wave of attack to the final fight which occurred at the gates, one which was pushed back and heir shields repurposed for defences.

As to identities of the armies... if wasteland elder had a diamond shield I would say Eden vs remaining elders, as iirc from the gathering sheet only sun shields appear in Eden, and Eden elder in vault scene has an orb. It's also a bit like the symbol representing the king, if you enlarged it.
However, this is not so. And so not so clearly delineated.
Theory has crossed mind that possibly the elders were split in their understanding of a topic, and so fought one another. A mention of a temple with a sun symbol was made - possibly was also team sun not team diamond.
Another theory would be diamonds are some group without an elder, or maybe that the sun shields in Eden were from people entering trying to put the explosion out via punch power. I'm not really sure.

Also if note given it's an entrance to the vault, I theorize that the war was not over the wasteland itself but over vault access. And, while the wasteland may have been lost and destroyed and in that sense a loss for sun team, that the vault must be unsealed for you implies it was not breached, at least from that angle, and so the main objective won by sun team.

But that is even more reachubg, and partly from the choice of symbols as well - diamonds for tech and knowledge and stuff, sun for older ways.
If such symbolism play out, and elders were split, possibly a difference of idea and opinion in the best way to proceed over a matter. Maybe Eden, maybe prophecy, who knows.

Oh. And it's likely been long enough the elders have... agreed to disagree or just side eye instead of stab each other. If they were on other teams

I wonder if the star shield users were actively fighting against Tsadi? I know they use both shields in their cutscene but it would be interesting if some of the ancestors turned against the Elders, and that’s why Wasteland fell~

Historically it’s really really common for people in power to try to keep knowledge from common folks’ hands. If someone discovered that Vault knowledge would benefit common people, that might justify taking up arms against Tsadi, in order to access the knowledge

And would also explain the destruction in Vault. When people fight to enter a place, they typically get so fired up that they wreck it (see the Russian Winter Palace)

@queen owl after reading through your theory I kinda wanna go explore more of the vault now to see if anything was left behind from the battle if the enemy truly was trying to get through to the gates

Also an interesting idea, the elders shield (which was placed against his shrine) wasn't destroyed at all. That could really be seen as a sign of respect to the elder, which kind of veers towards the section of the theory of elders fighting against one another too

Because if it really was a group without a elder, his shield would've been obliterated to bits. So no sign or piece of this elder would've survived this battle, instead they placed it against his shrine and left it in a place of the sun

As when you go into his shrine, constant light is upon the shrine itself. And they even let some of the shrine survive, like the areas where you light his candles and the steps leading up to the shrine as well

Which would also imply their fight wasn't... hm. Unkind? All war is horrific and unkind, but not out of personal strife, but instead of principle and still with some rules and mutual respect.

Continuing mutual respect even in the conflict would also help with the 'but they get along well enough at the end'

With this theory, it seems like the war came from a place of misunderstanding and fear for whatever the belief was
