so going by that, the prince/king is the child of megabird, the embodiment/deity of light, so i would think that the king/prince can also embody light. so he is able to manifest as different forms of light (in our flame) and also as a literal child of light

light can take different forms since light creatures are literally made of light
and maybe all our cosmetics are made of light too since they disappear once we are out of light

Though the idea of the Prince being the Child of the Light while we are also the same person seems to go against what the dev said about the CoL being a character we're connected to and have a relationship with. It seems to imply we're someone else from the Prince

The idea of it being like an Ancestor situation is actually interesting...
Maybe the Prince died or something, but their soul ended up in the void while their physical body was still in the physical world (like how Ancestor spirits are found far from their original bodies)
Maybe the Light ended up creating new life from the Prince's corpse I mean original body.
I mean, we do regain our light after fusing with the other kid (if you look at it that way), which is similar to what happens with Ancestors.
After our first rebirth, we just get seperated from the other kid like how Ancestors died

I suddenly had that angst thought that the reason why it took so long for something to be done is because The Light was grieving the loss of their child

/ I think that the big red Diamond we see when we are in stormlock used to be a virus that infected the sky people. The King as we know might wanted to use its power but have no knowledge of the stone. We as skykids seems to be immune to this darkstone/ red stone (?) thing but it does seem to drain our lights when we're close enough.
All the ancestors spirit statues had black speck (feels like smallpox) which made me think something like the plague happened and wiped out Sky civilization.
This would explain why Wasteland is the most infected, but Vault and Valley even next to very polluted realms doesn't seem to be as polluted, because the King spends most of his time there, spreading the disease. Paired with the war Wasteland is now most polluted compare to all other realms, behind Eden.
Also, since Forest is where they mainly produce the diamonds things, so it make sense the King spends most of his time there too, maybe not as much, (we don't see a lot of king symbols here besides the doors, unlike Wasteland), which is why the rain here also drains us.

Just woke up -in never here when properly awake - and very soon about to disappear. But!

What about if the forest elders broken diamond isn't an accident? What about if as soon as the Eden one went wrong, she grabbed her hammer and smashed that thing to stop hers doing it? (Presumably before vault elder worked out how to just... turn them off)

She's so excited about the skykid bringing light as she's finally worked out how to fix the fatal flaw, but needs light for it and can't produce light herself (which kinda makes me think of elders as moons nor stars, or plants - they look like stars from a distance and when reflecting light, but cannot make their own. Need someone - skykid - to provide it). And maybe it won't be a cool power source, but her masterpiece now won't blow up the world!

Then following from there:

• forest has more dark stuff in it and the rain is darkness because, while not nearly as bad as the Eden diamond yet, upon breaking the diamond it released the corruption in it. Also less violently than Eden's did. (Wasteland has most as it is the outside place closest to Eden. It came down the mountain, missed the vault as the vault is fully closed and sealed, then had to be tanked there)
• I assune from wasteland names with things like refugee and soldier some of the spirits are post-eden. I'd like to suggest maybe the tearful light miner is, too. After the diamond went kaput, they had to mine other ppwer sources. (It may have come before, as a why they needed new power sources, but I like after with this specific theory. Also isn't one of the miners friends trapped in dark plants? Though I guess could symbolise rocks. But rocks appear for others and very specifically dark plants appear therr)

Honestly? Hadn't thought that far. Might be unrelated, like he was guiding some people to Eden when explode happened and got punched in face with evil rocks. Might be that the isle elder delivered the news of how to turn diamond off to teth and she had a temper tantrum and smacked him in the face with her hammer, too. Might be his mask was broken as a sign of him accepting his sins as being complicate in the whole torrid affair.

Time in the Sky
Time works in a weird way in Sky. That’s why spirits and cutscenes can be relived infinitely. TS works slightly differently, they’re special and the world of sky kind of has a tear in its fabric of reality/glitch where TS only appears every two weeks (or a harder glitch, where remnants of old TS is accessible). And it’s also why the world of sky keeps adding new spirits (ark, sanctuary). This might start during and be caused by the big destruction So in a way, the kingdom of sky has its own clock, maybe multipleclocks (or alarms?) that resets. But at the same time, it could be timeless(?).

Winged light(?)
About winged light, statues, and our Skykids. Winged lights are imprints of children of light and somehow they're connected to us. What's the connection with us? Are they our friends? But something doesn't add up to me. Those statues scattered across the storm and those winged lights scattered across the kingdom of sky, they’re always at the same place, why? (Tbh it’s easier this way so it might not mean anything so i’m not complaining, but lore wise y’know) Are they the same “people'' from when we took/saved them last time? And how long have those statues been there? I’ve always assumed it was a long time, a week at least, if we’re following the in-game eden reset. But we get rebirthed almost instantly after dying in the storm. Unless.. It’s actually been a very long time but the game just sped it up for us. (Back to my theory of Sky’s whack clock(s)/timeflow) and that "glowing person" we have to hug before heading to orbit is actually what happens when a Skykid gives back our light. So my headcanon is that Skykids die and turn into statues in eden, when that happens, a part of them is lost and scattered around in the kingdom of sky as winged lights. It’s up to the other skykids to collect and bring it back to them, to save them. So it’s almost as if it’s like work shifts or cycles, Skykids taking turns and replacing other skykids’ role as statues or as skykids roaming the kingdom. But that makes another question. Who started the cycle? Who went to eden first and died? And why did they do it?

I'm not at my computer and so can't find proper references, but either there was a weakness there - and it's not the gate else the gate would be in the collapsed bit - structurally, or it got hit in that specific position. Probably. I'd expect if it were just age to see it in more than one place?

There is a little addition I think it's important to add about Symbols,Objects (section)> Pipes

I can't remember who said that, but pipes maybe used to bring clean water to Eden for... I can't remember clearly... Maybe purifying the Giant Power Diamond (perhpas the hypothesis was about an attempt of cleanse Eden of the darkness or it was functional to the function of the GPD ♦️ )

And there is a partial proof for that. In Eden first part if you ...

Go at the bottom and walk on to the right side (to reach right below the Building who is that area goal) there is clean water sound (coming from the broken giant pipe under the building in the cliff)

And going through that water send you to the last checkpoint of the climb you reached too
