So i was looking for the sun symbol and there seems to be a couple of them in eden

I kinda like the tuatha-like elders idea. Though maybe their other world is 'above' rather than 'below'. Or, maybe, they came from above - The stars in the sky - and due to the newcomers and/or was have fled to the below, and are now assisting the skykid so the skykid will help them to return to the above, from whence they came but can no longer return alone.

May in return they offer to look after the dead of the skykids people - especially those they ruled over for a time - hence the gathering spirits to ascend with you. But, you then return to gather more spirits.

Given that the other world was also the land of the dead in many of the legends (or at least bits of it were)

also the Irish Otherworld has many names in many legends. Also the similar one in Welsh is Anwnn. Personally my favourite is Tír na nÓg. There are technical differences between the names, but yeah. Also back I was flicking pins for the elder cutscenes and noticed the first cutscene text typed out. It seems either the elders or the spirits or maybe both came from the sky originally, but fled the darkness which found them there, then built new homes.

There's also a point about 'If only they had listened' - someone knew they were still being chased by the dark and said they weren't safe, but they ignored and thought they were? Or whatever goes on in the sect season fits there?

mmmm, I prefer to think of the darkness as an ever present source, then things such as light was created. Light is being used in various ways. The elders each create a thing of their own (bird/butterflies/diamonds) and more abstract things (competitive spirit(twins)/ energy(for war)/ knowledge(for vault)).

@hushed steeple yep! the cloud messenger plays in between ascent and actual orbit. iirc if you don't reach a certain point in orbit yet and flight (ascent theme) has finished playing, the cloud messenger plays as a sort of interlude. then when you reach that certain point (maybe about halfway through floating with the spirits or so), then the light beyond (orbit theme, when aurora sings) will start.

• yes it is boop, there's not much going on musically other than a faint piano repeating the same note in two different octaves and some string instruments (i think) coming here and there

• it depends. if you hang around the area before the camera zoom out part (to go oob exploring for example) i think flight will continue playing as per normal. the cloud messenger should then follow even if you have not reached the zoom out sequence yet. but it's been a while since i did that so it might be different/have changed from what i remember if i did remember correctly

(speaking of music, vincent diamante did a q&a. i'm sad i don't have any other social media right now to have participated, i would've asked about the leitmotifs )

If it was actually the other Elders that were not meant to be saved, but the Prince took on their burden instead so that they could be saved

Well we are calling the king a king. Maybe as the leader is why he took the punishment for the entire group? Or why he felt he had more responsibility and so took the more extreme consequences?

It may not be that the king was less wrong which is why we save the elders, only that they were the ones to survive. And in surviving, maybe they helped with some of the other people escaping or the like? Dead people can't repent. And, the skykid must be descended from someone. Presumably there's a settlement not here you came from. Unless the skykid spontaneously manifested, I guess ^^;

Or, given the elders and the skykid aren't the same sort of person, if king is the child you fuse with at the end, it'd mean he was something not like the elders. I think? Given he is your mirror image. Hence why one died and others survived the same sorts of actions.

How so? In the intro cutscene, you can see all 6 constellations connected to one person. I presume this one person is the king/prince, since they also fall to the top of the mountain with other 6 fallen stars (altho this squence didnt showed clearly)

I have been think about this intro mural

There is 7 stars that fell, nd then they build cities on cloud

But then, in isle murals... there is another 4 stars that fell. 4 people bring those 4 stars to the isle elder, which is part of the 7 former fallen stars.

I wonder... what makes those 4 stars different from the 7 stars that fell before them (the elders)?

Ta. Have watched. It looks to me like the middle one - The glowy child- doesn't fall with the others. There's only six lines that go down, and the line that goes to Eden is later than the others.

And with how the clouds move out, also kinda looks like Eden served as a bridge between the realms? Like... he didn't go all the way down? And you do use it like that eventually tbf.

Also as came up last night the king and the prince and the Eden elder could be anywhere between 1 and 3 individuals depending who you ask. Which makes very confusing and I do t have my own number.

I think the extra 4 are the 4 bright yellow lines that go down towards the end, after it goes awful in the narration.
