I think the krills are man-made (because of the weird wounds they make) and the dust is produced by whatever fuel or machinery the krill runs on... Maybe The dust in Eden is all over because of the machinery and factory-like structures there...
I mean, even if it is multi-player isn't the experience with the ancestors a personal thing. That's why you can upgrade your relationship with them

What if Isle grampa is related to Eden? When eden rings, so is Isle. What if Isle is the former King? That's why the elders ignore him, because of his past actions?
What if the Eden elder was supposed to be the prince? After the King was dethroned? Maybe after the Eden exploded, the prince, now crowned as the new King, tried his best to restore the Kingdom again by creating skids, but failed (those skids in eden that crumbles when u get near is probably the first ver. of skids he thinks would be able to restore Sky).
But he didn't give up. He tried again. But this time, he had to sacrifice himself? And turn into fragments of light as a way to make us stronger?
These are all the question I have in my brain. Now it's melting...
