This is why i dont like metaphysical or metamorphic theories, not because they are bad but it takes the fun out of theory crafting, extrapolating beyond a certain point is just, i dont know how to put it, it feels like you are creating the game rather than exploring it.

There are many memory cubes in Vault, someone said vault was built for storing dead Wasteland ancients’ memories and honoring them.

So, I just rewatched all the elder cutscenes, because I noticed something before and wanted to see if I was right.
The first two elders, Isle and Prairie, use the candles you lit for them to fix their cosmetics, mask and pot/vase respectively. They thank you and leave.
The forest elder, though her candles are sitting right there, snatches yours and uses it on her anvil. The valley elders do something similar, asking for it, and then i believe they take it and tease the player with it.
The vault elder asks for the player to light her object.
The wasteland elder doesn’t ask for or take the player’s candle. He falls to his knees in what seems to be despair. He is the first and only elder that the player willingly offers their candle to without being asked.
The wasteland elder is obviously a warrior. The fact that a large section of the wasteland is called the “graveyard” leads me to believe that he was the leader/commander of an army, and his troops were wiped out.
He doesn’t ask for help because he doesn’t believe he deserves another chance. The player saves him anyway.

Alsdo a possibility: He doesn't want another chance. He's exausted. He's seen things. While he's unlikely to yield unless he's made to, he likely wouldn't nessasarily mind if he was made to.

I would say it was and industrial area if it wasn’t for the shipwrecks, and how the some of the spirits (like the lookout) seem to have been fighting.

First area is broken temple, so like regular place where life used to be, and the first krill area is still a temple. Graveyard is where it looks bad with all the skeletons lying around and the krills. Battlefield is like the final.line of defense since theres alot of shields and broken spears lying bout. Shipwreck is like helping on the borders of wasteland

you could argue that it's very far off the shores of isle of dawn and daylight prairie since you can find large bodies of water in both those realms, but you need to OOB out of prairie to really see its one scratch that last bit, sanctuary's waters are really easy to see

wasteland's water doesn't stretch across the entire screen as far as i can tell, both the forgotten ark and graveyard sections have clearly limited planes for certain parts of the map

You know, it always seems that when we lose our light, we have the experience with the hugging kid, and then we break out and leave for orbit. I propose that in fact, we do not free ourselves, but in fact, the glowing kid is the person after us that gives us their winged light, and it is in fact, the act of giving so freely, something so essential, that causes us to break free and fly to orbit. Perhaps the hug is to symbolize the woefully fleeting and yet everlastingly intimate warmth and affection that only two strangers can have, when all other hope is lost

I think the glowing statues were the kids before us whom spirits which are winged light are everywhere, so like their spirits went as far away from Eden but that's why it explains why there Is so many of them at Eden in a hallway, when we die we leave our physical forms and we meet another who was willing to share the light or give it to us, once we re eived it, we become the connected, when we enter sky, a physical form burns or dries over us and thus our physical forms
We could possibly be just a soul receiving and losing light and gaining and losing physical form, like when we die, we lose the light and our physical form, but when we get the light, and go down to sky we gain both light and physical form
So we could possibly be a medium of sorts that allows to break life and death,
But ofc we must fa e both life and death

For this effect to happen..
I think you need to get hit by the rock storm first.. go unlit and the black thing will start falling off your body even if you lit yourself back
And that rock storm will be red when it the ground..
