I've also had another theory, throughout the game we see a lot of sea creatures and then in GW a lot of pipes and polluted water. It gave me the thought of what if there was an advanced life either before their demise considering they ’didn't listen’ when the ’darkness’ came. It possibly sometime after but they met their demise as well. Also cause I've noticed that in Forest fish graveyard there were once miners there but they died or the bones/fossils found there and in GW.

You know there is this glowing/light thing in the hidden secret cave area in Forest and inside one of the gate areas. It looks like it was dug up as well and I think maybe they found those kind of light sources from within grounds and solid dirt they were mining

Is my flag theory sound, are there any major fallacies/inconsistencies in it?, the orange light lighted the ark and the purple light created the merchant shops and flags, i guess that is kind of a counterexample, but the flags were in the pattern orange-white-orange-white, which symbolizes earth and sky(i argue that orange is reference to yellow as the majority of sky color scheme is based on orange, light), and the ark travelled through the skies and earth. Hmm, so I was playing through the vault of knowledge earlier, and the final room before Eden got me thinking:
What if that’s the only time you’re actually seeing the vault for how it really looks? And the rest of it is just a memory? Because like
-The final room resembles the first floor, just smaller, with a few differences (the home and Eden gates, the diamond being destroyed and on the platform)
-The area itself seems rather... Unreal, especially on the upper floors
-Also, the ghost mantas and ghost lanterns, and how once you reach the ‘temple’, the ghost mantas just vanish- what if they aren’t actual mantas, but rather, memories of mantas that used to be there?
-The fact that you aren’t actually shown going into the final room from the elder cutscene- it ends and you’re just... There. Unlike with the others, where you end the cutscene where you began it, and physically move to the next area’s path
-The spirit for the ghost manta call is called the “memory whisperer”, further going off of what I mentioned above about “the memories of mantas that used to be there”

I couldn't help but notice in that welcome message up a bit with the elders' names (ty for that btw I knew there were some but couldn't find them anywhere, but I wasn't being v deliberate in my search) that that 2 of the elders' names have mathematical usages (Aleph and Dalet). I haven't found anything on dalet mathematically online yet (as idk anything about it's usage bc I have had no reason to learn before now), but there is a Wikipedia page for the aleph numbers ("the aleph numbers are a sequence of numbers used to represent the cardinality (or size) of infinite sets that can be well-ordered", a quote directly from the Wiki page).
Dk if anyone else knows stuff abt, or if that was an original intention (you said it was concept art?) but I thought it was interesting that the central (sorta?) elder (prince) was the only (ish) one with that

On feb /2019 Tom drew this door with the Fox mask on it. He also drew The forest elder wearing it with an umbrella. Umbrellas made it into the game, and the mask on the doorway and made it into the game, and the art on the doorway made it into the game....and the forest elder made it into the game. She isn’t wearing the mask or holding the umbrella but the door sure is almost 100% in game. So what part of it were you trying to figure out was canon ?

Take a look at forgotten ark, its arrival at the wasteland has to be before the war(or events of pollution/eden) in fact early stages of corruption, given the presences of monowings, quadwings and birds in the region. The painting of the dark dragon is distinct from the dark dragon today, to some extent, part of the krills body still maintain organic curvature, something explicitly opposed to the jagged edges and chaotic intrusions invoked by darkstones. This implies that krills underwent unnatural transformation/amalgamations during the timeframe, something that is amplified by the lack of structural change seen in mantas. There is also the possibility that krills are natural beings and the ship crashed long before the eden incident, but that crushed all consistencies seen in light versus dark creature attributes...

today on leitmotif hunting: knowledge (that plays in vault lvl 3 that represents forest) has the elder leitmotif!! i couldn't find it in forest mom's cutscene theme so i'll take that as a substitute theme i guess
also, i'm watching the video goober mentioned yesterday. the very loud BWAAAA BWAAAAA BWAAAA BWAAAA of eden area 2 does follow the famous 4-note-melody of 'dies irae' - the requiem used in catholic masses for funerals. 'dies irae' means 'the day of wrath', and the poem/lyrics of the the song comes from talks about how souls are summoned for judgement day before god
i think this would support the theory that skids are the reincarnates of the king and we're repenting for our mistakes

ok i have very limited braincell power rn since i used most of it on my literature and history tests today but here's my attempt at linking dies irae in sky context:
- my theory is that the child of light is like the soul of the king, it's what the king used to look like back in orbit (see intro)
- we're collect parts of the king's soul
- when we go to eden, we are 'being judged' = having to go through rocks and krills to return the souls to the statues
- this passing of souls onto the fallen statues is basucally '
you have passed the vibe check'/you have passed the judgement and now can ascend to orbit
^ but yes, we still have to get reborn and do it all over again. it could either be because there are more imprints out there megabird just likes to drop in, or maybe it's just a time loop thing

ok i'll try to explain: judgement day in christian context is where you basically get judged for what you did and all that in your life, if you good you go to heaven, if you bad you go to hell and all that. before judgement day there's also the end of the world shenanigans and disasters that i won't go so much into lol
i think of eden as something like your 'pre-judgement' and 'judgement' - like you have to prove yourself that you can get to the statues, you can return all the light to them
in simplified terms, in order to get to heaven in christianity/be purified of your sins, you have to repent for your sins
so by going through eden, you are like judged for your sins and you are repenting by going through eden
also in japanese eden stormlock is called 'original sin'

and i think ascending to heaven in christianity = ascending to orbit in sky

Looking up (fly race) u can see there are very high buildings. So im guessing the rubble fell from above and got covered with clouds

I think they called it like that bcs vault contains tons of information as well as forbidden knowledge(maybe)
I think that each realm/map were individual country but still connected so when war happen the vault get locked down
As for war i think it starts with knowledge and information thru experiment they did in vault and the king for sure he can get access any information from vault
By that he created that big red diamond (maybe experiment but i think not too or he want to go back to megabird but he can't so he did in wrong way) which cause explosion and storm
Those explosion and storm cause ruins and debris which also the reason as why the cloud build up and stopped the light to pass thru
When light can't pass it cause darkness and the creatures like krills and crabs sought for light from skykids (but for crabs this might not be true since in mural it states that spirits disturbing their ecosystem which cause them to get angry or maybe partly true)
Due to this event the war broke out between eden and vault in wasteland and thus vault shut the library off the world(bcs wasteland is a big diamond factory owned by king)
Sorry for my bad grammar and i also don't know what suitable words to use since english is not my first language hope you guys understand it 🙏🏻

oobs are fine unless you use them to get to restricted areas like office, but otherwise they don't actually put lore-related stuff in oobs iirc since technically they're not supposed to be seen as the main part of gameplay (i guess)
