They were possibly looking for alternatives for butterflies and trees in order to increase production
Because as we can see, one tree produces only one dark diamond, and they only have so many trees
And judging by the trees sizes, they have to be old to be cut down for diamond extraction, so planting them in fields would not work probably
Of course there are trees with fast growth rate (eucalyptus for example), but if that was the case they would not have needed to look for alternatives, and there would be lots of cultivation fields of this trees

We are discussing power diamond productions (those that help you open the doors when lit up by instance) and before that we were talking about the rain in Hidden Forest probably being acid rain, which is why it causes us damage and the trees have white trunks

The polluted water just like in real life can cause acid rain when evaporated and turned into clouds

Actually what causes acid rain is the liberation of some gaseous compost into the atmosphere. They react with the water in the clouds, producing acid, and when it rains they pour down with the water
Usually, this is the main cause. I don’t know if they evaporate together too, but it might be possible
But isn’t it weird in the fix patch they call the darkplants Darkstones and in the game, they just call them darkness?

Six pillars to each side of the king is a pretty interesting choice, but then two outlying pillars also establish the foundational lines of the constellation along with the king's "subjects". Lots of symbolism to pull from.
Pillars often represent support and positions of power in historical writing.

Honestly, siblings can be crowned heirs of the throne too. When the king doesn't have an heir, the inheritance of the throne can fall to next of kin which would be a brother/sister, then aunt/uncle, then cousins.

Personally, I think it's pretty concrete for the most part. But theory goes through a process of elimination. When others find no evidence it can be anything else for the 7th star, then usually it's when it's unanimously accepted as canon. Being in the zelda theory community for a long time, ideas are never fanon* the first day. But I think we all agree, or at least see your evidence as very very plausible.

i had a small idea and wasn't sure if to put it here in lore, since it is just my imagination running wild, but what if not only we relive the memories of spirits. but they are also considered Remnants of light of our ancestors. The children may even run into a spirit or light and or memories of a spirit they may have used to been.

well owo Species doesnt necessarily mean the spirit or the soul within them made of light are the same or different~ is what I think at least
its a fun idea where the soul within them now are bits and pieces and are all one in the same as they are a creature of light but a descendant of the stars(ancestors? I call them stars as I think of that when seeing the constellation)

So last night I got... really bored.
And decided to back track all the reference images in this shown off tomcept images to see if it can help understand the environment more!
What I found was most of these images are from WW1; specifically “no man’s land”. Areas nobody can inhabit due to war.
This can help understand the state of the WL I feel

Even more specifically, most of these images come from two battles in WW1.
One image is from a movie set in the time
And one is an image of.. beached whales. Possibly used to simulate the bones seen in the tomcepts.
