I think, I THINK it was said somewhere that if someone was trapped in the dark fog it would turn them evil 🦹‍♀️. So with that logic i am thinking that the reason why crabs seemed to be so evil is because the fog ( the clouds on the picture where everyone seems to run away) indicates that it was a dark fog and it was what turned the crabs evil. Cause if we notice clearly the crabs are the creatures that seem to be more left behind than the regular spirits

Poor lil Alef can't find a way to break his own heart in a way that turns off his life... This is my latest theory.

What if the Elders are the constellations themselves, their jod is to watch over humanity and help those who need to be reborn.
But like always, humans become corrupted, bringing darkness to the lands of light. Concerned they decide to fall to the human world and create their own lands, in an effor to help the humans harness the light again and banish the darkness from the lands. They help them build technology and so on, while at the same time creating the things they themselves could not. Like the Eye of Eden, a source of infinite power.
Only this will backfire on them, humans will become more and more greedy, seeking more and more, corrupted they will start a war against the elders, taking their light as they go through each zone, only when they reach the eye the corruption from them themselves and the light from the elders will cause the eye to explode causing the storm.
Knowing what will happen, the apocalypse, the elders took the few humans who still followed them and used what was left of their powers to push pieces of their land into the sky, away from the corruption that will take over the rest.
Sky children were then born of the light, with their only mission being to try to save the eye and with it stop the storm, only non of them succeeded and so, their new mission became to save the spirits of the followers, bring hope back to the elders and return them back home and save the kids who were lost in a futile effort to save what cannot be saved.

A lot of ppl play the game to simply hang with friends and have fun and play music and collect cosmetics and stuff, not everyone loves lore like us
So if there is an update that focuses jus on lore, I think a lot of ppl will complain

I don’t think there is supposed to be someone else telling you the history and what the story is. I think it’s your story, of someone who was brought into the world to save others, but instead of some powerful being telling you everything, it’s just you and others like you

The previous plot we have been shown in tomcepts is always taken with a spoon of salt as
A. Old ideas
B. That theory of sky at some point was going to be a much more darker and mature story with emphasis on this lore and world, but at some point changed to what we know it as today

What I got from the end of the game where you’re saving all the kids is you’re saving others like you. You save them out of compassion (or candles, but that’s not the point of the game). You go back, over and over, trying to rescue everyone you can, sacrificing yourself in the process. Perhaps you’re reborn entirely new, or as a kid that you saved, but your old self is now stuck there.
