Whales are natural creatures i think
@hushed steeple I believed it’s confirmed that all the creatures in sky are natural
@normal berry yes it is
I believe it is a neutral one
One that’s not dark or not light
It is simply a creature with a physical body of flesh and bone
I meant whales are neither light nor dark
Yes that’s sounds about right
theres bones in vault
The only “neutral” creatures we have seen so far is the whale and the creatures at the graveyard
whose bones are they doe?
Ghost manta and jellyfish are one in the same
seems like whale...
And manta
Different hair colours !!
nah
the bones for the cosmic manta call are up for debate
i like all white hair
I want hair
Gimme
grabby hand noises
!! Ah I forgot about that
also different skin tones it seems
well the cosmic manta could be a energy construct...so there might be no bones...
I wish we had shoes
Are there any bones of krills ??
nah
Not that I know of
Hmmm..
Cosmic mantas have bone....
not seen yet that is
Darkness isn't defeated yet
Darkness isn't defeated yet
@rose bane will it ever be?
I don't think krills have bone ... Their body is transparent
darkness is a natural part of the Sky world
They can pass thru wall
well then the krills might be something like negetive energy...
No I don’t think it ever will be defeated even if it is I feel like it’d kill the light to
Im curious, in the battlefield, there are weapons scattered and i always assumed the ancestors fought with them, but the other day i noticed the weapons were too huge for the ancestor/ spirits to wield?
they look elder-sized
I sort of like barricades perhaps
Check vault's mural ri
Well it’s very interesting I’m just glad it’s not like Identity V’s lore
lore chat is active
Discussing bones
Ahh good ol bone talk
bone marrow = light
Oh god not that game
oh how the tables have turned
i see
well what about cartilage = light
but it still makes no sense to me
i saw theories that spirits drank grow spells to do combat
ooh that makes sense
well the lead is the elder and all others sre supporting
Light = physical form
@proud heron then krills??
idk man
Um....light doesn’t have a physical form
It’s jus light
It can be shaped
It can be a source of life
But ya can’t touch it
are us skykids not made of light ?
Light.. with m a s s
true....but neither can darkness
We like the gems
We can harness light but it’s not something we are made out of
^
The spotlight inside of krill is super neat
Maybe they’re mechanical mixed with darkness
Sky AI uprising confirmed?

Pin it man
Wtb skykid's dark hair colour
Haise had glasses
😮

Ok my bad for getting off topic
Well the name make quite sense compared to circumstances
Our cosmetics and capes are made of light though?
@proud heron yes i believe so, since when we lose our light our cosmetics disappear as well
@hushed steeple perhaps the hair contains some light, making it white, and it gets corrupted and turns black before we extinguish
Orange delinquent stole his glasses and imitated Haise @sly kestrel
Hm
There’s a pinned doc where a dev explains why there can’t be any other hair color
@sly kestrel might not be correct since it’s been a while since I read it
That’s all
Back to the topic at hand
There’s a pinned doc where a dev explains why there can’t be any other hair color
But we can see black hair colour
We could have a prism situation
White light enters and all the different colors come out
That’s when you are out of light
@sly kestrel they mean this
i think that is just the status of your light being lost
well ur outta light
I’m talking about like orange or green hair color that ppl request
@normal berry the pic is horrible
as the white gradually fades from your character

It’s scary...
wym i look fabulous as a dark skykid
black hair and white cape is also a glitch
I'm sure I'll get a bad nightmare tonight
Haunted by the death
Ah one that I love is a comic I saw, the statues they are saving are their past selves

that is sad
wow I felt that
It is sad that one of the most frequent spirits we have to relive is cry spirit
Why do i have Paint it Black stuck in my head now?
The white hair situation is kinda like how in some games it’s dark and serious while there’s that one dude with a custom octopus outfit
And yes those were in pre launch beta
But they were right, it did sort of interrupt the story
But the jellyfish did not?
Puffer fish

Also a funny story about the dark kid photo i took: I was being chased by another skykid who was trying to restore my light
Btw still there's no theory on this?... Really curious
If corrupt skykids were a thing you’d have to face a corrupt Afro chibi
If corrupt skykids were a thing you’d have to face a corrupt Afro chibi
@proud heron burnt popcorn lookin
It would be cool if we always looked that way when we lost our light
i would be looking my light way more often-
Have someone listed all of the spirit names?
Yes, scroll up
Eden vs Wasteland
?
Wasteland is scarier
But the krills
neither are scarier because i play too many horror games and the only thing that scares me are bees
bees as in the insect or rank?
All the forest spirit emotes and names are so sad, they all forced to work in that mine, so sad
Idv has bee rank which is the lowest so
They weren’t forced too...
How so
but if u think Thas sad......hehe u should hear all the other stuff
they were not forced to, but sad things still happened
like all of crying spirits friends dead and stuff
How can you tell they were not forced to, whats the proof
No one answered my question in general
I can say the same about you
What’s ur proof they were forced to work
They were miners it was their job ? Doesn’t seem forced to me
also some of the spirits in forest seem to be enjoying themselves like the blushing and hide and seek ones
And yes it was sad that her friends got crushed by rocks and couldn’t save em
And then her other friend died and she was the only one left
Unless they objected to mining that area I doubt they were forced
The emotes and spirit names are all negative and sad, hide and seek spirit seems tried to hide from their mine boss
Read the names
Ask urself what a prospector is and a trailblazer
blushing spirit literally looked like she was going on a date or something
We dunno the exact times they existed but her being identified as a pioneer proves that when she was alive, she was discovering all that land for the first time
I think they were doing it willingly
Hello wren
And when the other spirits were alive, they were alive during the time when they used the forest to make their power diamonds
Time is essential to lore 🤜🏻
They were most likely compensated for their work and effort
also i don't take the elders as cruel dictators, forest aunt is a little tough, but not evil
Then the emotes that they do shows their mood after the eden explosion
Yeah I think it just came down to wanting to advance their civilisation

There’s no proof as to when the eden explosion happened during the time the forest spirits were alive
@willow pumice the memories/emotes were most likely from the most impactful moment in there life
Their emote simply applies to what happened in their memory
Otherwise i cannot think of a shivering trailblazer or hide n seek pioneer, they should be powerful and leader
I mean, hiking in rain can be really miserable
Pardon?
....do u even kno what those are
maybe he was just chilly-
went on a 30 mile hike in rain for 2 days. worst experience hiking ever
I think it’s fun!!
you can definitely trailblaze and shiver
....do u even kno what those are
@sly kestrel tell me then
But anyways um
I hate to be that guy but there’s no proof that there was rain when they were alive
that's fair
someone can be chilly and not entirely miserable
I’m going by what I was told
I was chilly today but was enjoying myself
Oh I didn’t think of that the rain appeared after eden
And a trailblazer is a person that makes sort of a path or a new trail for a newly discovered area
Sort of like an explorer to make claim new areas
thank you for pointing that out
haha discord glitching again
sorry again
it ok
Pioneer is sort of related to a trailblazer
It’s someone that is exploring a newly found land for the first time
Definitely plays into the seek part of the game
Cambridge?
a leader is allowed to be afraid at times though
She was more on the playful side when she was exploring
I believe the trailblazers were alive when the rain was active
they don't necessarily need to be brave all the time
it's ok to hide when the time comes for safety
Do you think the rain was the rain we have today?
That’s why they were cold and who knows, the rain was prolly corrupted when they were alive too
Also the hide and seek spirit's posture looks very relaxed, so she could very well just be playing hide and seek
it's fun to play hide and seek in new places
Or do you think as a result of eden the rain became harmful
she didnt seem fearful or worried at all
I don’t think necessarily eden but something that went wrong in forest
It’s an industry place remember
Same with wasteland
but like you said, forest may have not alway have been rainy
And the fact that the pioneer seemed happy sort of gave me the idea that it wasn’t raining during her memory
The rain will always be a mystery
Ig we gotta wafo
Share an umbrella with your crush @sly kestrel
There’s light in the forest still
I think the rains starting could have flooded some mines causing some of the collapse
Ooooh probably
I had a theory that the crashing whale is what caused the rocks to collapse but the rain could be too
What about the small crab cave ?
That could’ve been a reason why they were plugging the walls with rocks
Maybe the crab cage was a newer hole that never was finished due to rains
Yeah remember the memory where her friends were putting rocks up
Or that
We will never kno
I also thought they were trying to take rocks down
....yet
does that mean that oh no spirit indirectly caused the deaths of cry spirit's friends?
I’m going by nebby’s theory
Also the water would’ve still been able to leak into the cave if it was a high enough level thus they would’ve drowned
Idk who’s theory to support anymore
yeah, nebby's theory is good
Oh one thing I’m curious about is
I have loads of proof that support everyone’s
I think each realm fell at a different time
Eden I think fell first
Wasteland
Vault?
Forest maybe?
Dawn?
Prairie
Valley still seems like it has some people in it tho
No
The holes in the cave- were they there when the spirits were alive?
The cheering be throwing me off in the race thing
nebby is saying they died at different times, not the same time
Did they see them and think there’s a way to escape but we can’t reach it?
where else could they go?
Yeee
I think I may go through each spirit again and try and figure out who died when
I still need to find them all haha
Well remember, there was a man made rock staircase and possibly their way to get out
Going by nebby’s flood theory again
well, I don't think the spirits died at the time of their memory
I think that's just a very integral part of their life
Each one is debatable
Except for play dead guy and the refugee in wasteland
Those two seem pretty certain at time of death
It is a memory after all
Simply a visual of what happened somewhere in their life
support for that theory: the spirits putting up the bells couldn't have died at that moment because they hadn't put them all up
if that makes sense
No I was just wondering if the holes were there at the time of the spirits or it was eroded after they all had passed
well only thing is he didn’t play dead
ah, true nebby
He actually...died
Exactly
Skykid just has no concept of death
is the official name now Fainting Warrior?
Yes
why
that memory shocked me tbh
why fainting and not dead
Kids are like: he’s just sleeping
well it would sound cruel so say “dead warrior”
Sky kids don’t know what dying is because they’re always reborn
ok fair rin
why
@cold steppe probably because its a game targeted at kids
that's really fair
Kids: oh he’s fine he’s fine he’s just playing
Warrior: am I a joke to you?
So he got krilled right?
it's unclear what caused the wound
I believe they sort of got it when they got into the brutality of eden
But after that I think they didn’t take death seriously anymore
I don't
Looked like he was grabbing his stomach/torso
Yeah he coulda fell off a building or something
might of gotten stabbed or something
Eden is now a chore for ascended candles more than anything, tbh
rip
after the first few runs of eden, Sky is mainly about currency
is it confirmed that skykids have the memories from their "old" life when they're reborn?
"mmm i'm out of money again, guess i'll die"
pretty much, ri
Yeah I enjoyed the theory that the fancy emotes are just the kids imagination
I think so he’s ho,ding his torso like it got injured which if it was a a stab wound would make since since the krills have stabbu shabby but since theee is no blood it can be one of two things
- this is a kids game no blood plz
- possibly was escorting the refugee through the cave collapse and suffered some bludgeoning due to the rock fall or whatever caused it, it seemed krill caused the fall maybe he fought that and ran
@cold steppe "Reborn" makes it seem like its still themselves, if it were worded as recarination then maybe
Remember spears existed in wasteland too
I will have to pull up my old notes again to try and figure out what sort of wound it is tho
Don’t...dont ask why I have notes on different injuries
And swords
I didn’t think of that... very smart point
Tomorrow clue about Traveling
@ashen plaza #seasons-events-chat is where you’ll want to go
I think so he’s ho,ding his torso like it got injured which if it was a a stab wound would make since since the krills have stabbu shabby but since theee is no blood it can be one of two things

@zinc egret wha- what do you think the swords and spears are for?
I think the spears and swords were used by the wastelanders to fight the krill
We discuss the spirits stories here not which spirit they chose for ts...
I think the spears and swords were used by the wastelanders to fight the krill
@zinc egret you don’t think-
@zinc egret they can go through walls so possibly weapons too
Ah guess I won’t
Ahhhh I don’t wanna explain again it’s too complex
But basically it revolves around the fact that kills don’t have physical bodies
theres nothing to stab if they dont have a physical body
And they didn’t fight them
I sorta got something from the document
They fought other ppl
Hence the 2 different shields
Ah okay so you’re supporting that theory good
That’s all imma say for now
Details, I’m too lazy
I don’t think there was a civil war personally and I flew into my fair share of krill and I seem to crash into them
I was a moth....
Basically there were those who supported the production of power diamonds and those who didnt. so they fought
i think
Ah
No worries I picked up enough details for now in the theories doc
Exactly u were a moth and u didn’t touch them, u touched their wind barrier
I have flown right trough them
I can always try and fly into one again to test if ya want
They can go through walls
No need to
Like I said they have a wind aura
That’s what ur hitting
They can go through walls
@sly kestrel so it’s actual lore and not a game flaw?
Jay explain in detail🤺
The spotlight throws me off because
If they’re made of darkness what is the spotlight
Yes, it applies to all dark and light creatures
The spotlight is similar to the darkness stones right?
Krills jus have a wind aura and that’s why it knocks us down too
Otherwise it would fly right through us taking our light
The spotlight throws me off because
If they’re made of darkness what is the spotlight
@zinc egret perhaps they have utilized some of the light they have taken into a hunting tool
The only physical body creatures are the graveyard ones and the whale
True
Skykids?
This lore be thick
skykids are what we refer to the little characters we play as @hushed steeple
I think they meant about the physical form
Fair... They are light creatures
Oh and it’s sort of based on the guardians in journey
ooh wait i get it what u mean
They don’t have bones
They baby
I’ve forgotten all about journey lore and story
They don’t have bones irl and in sky
Can I just mention how weird it is the king made like
Tiny light children instead of you know
Adult light children to go free everything
“Hey you may look like you’re six but heees a candle and a map go save the world”
"whoever or whatever created them"
I originally thought the elders sent them but that’s
I like the theory that the sky kids are the king? If I’ve interpreted that info right??
narrator identity when
Megabird is narrator i think
Narrator is Oreo
megabird might not exist tho
Could be the megabird in old concepts or child of light or king or prince or oreo or vault elder or ANYONE
It could be anyone
eden elder
How oreo
But is it not in vault in live?????

IT WAS ME! DIO!
Maybe it was dawn elder
He seems like the old storytelling type
Ah I see
maybe, maybe not
But child of light is a current concept?
If we ever get an eden elder my theory design will be cannoned
All the elders are dead?
"In mario world"
gone from the game but not from the lore
(IF we ever SEE them)
I think the elders were dying but the candle brought them back
So they still chilling?
Otherwise there would be no point in sending Skykids to save em
I think they’re more of lesser deities, below whoever made us, of the society
We are reconnecting them to the light to return them to their home
But the main ones are the only elders left correct?
they are stuck in a parallel universe of something
they are stars?
Are we not aliens
Oh and technically skykids are aliens too
We crash landed like Superman
I dont like that
Oh the idea of the elders having ties to Greek gods is interesting
Especially
being linked to Apollo
Somewhat inspired maybe
and
to artemis
as Charon
Maybe the elders are like zodiac signs but maybe I’m reading to into it because of personal projects
as Hephaestus god of forge, because forging diamonds
as ares because wAR
as athena? maybe? minus war she was also the goddess of wisdom and knowlege
She was goddess of strategic war so it may work
idk about this guy
Maybe Dionysus
What symbol is that for I forget?
I believe the dawn elder may be a Hermes or Poseidon
Little symbols of Hermes was known for being put on traveling routes
it says
In Greek mythology and Roman mythology, Charon or Kharon (/ˈkɛərɒn, -ən/; Greek Χάρων) is a psychopomp, the ferryman of Hades who carries souls of the newly deceased across the rivers Styx and Acheron that divided the world of the living from the world of the dead.
in old concepts isle elder was a ferryman
Ooo
Hermes also plays a minor role with the underworld as well also guiding people to the after life but
Charon definitely holds that boat stuff we need
ye
Dude even wears a boat
He likes boats
hhhh
i guess the eden elder/king would be Cronus, who kinda created the gods,(or at least zeus) who was thrown into Tartarus, the deep abyss of the underworld
Yea that’s true
also there is a chance that the eden elder and the king are one in the same
I think Tartarus is a god ? Or I know one really minuscule god is associated
he is a titan
which were basically the gods before the main pantheon overthrew them
heck i love greek mythology
I think titans can work because this description is crazy
TARTAROS (Tartarus) was the primordial god (protogenos) of the stormy pit of Tartaros that lies beneath the foundations of the earth. He was the body of the pit itself rather than an athropomorphic deity. Tartaros was envisaged as the opposite of the sky, an inverted-dome lying beneath the flat earth.
Same it’s so messed up
oop i thought u were talking about cronus
yeah Tartarus is basically an embodiment of the bottom of the underworld
Tartarus is the opposite of the sky
There are so many gods in Greek mythology to keep track of it crazy
he's where the titans were thrown into, I believe
Yes
my bad. helios= the sun selene= the moon and gaia = the earth
They sorta shoved them onto him like
“Hey you want roommates yea you want roommates”
Maybe that’s who created us?
Valid sees you
If we"re comparing elders to greek gods, who are we? Our design makes me pretty sure we too are elders
TGC said we're not elders
Not elders? But the faces match!
"Aren't tbe same or different species"?
I could see different subspecies. "Sky kids are a much smaller, friendlier and more curious subspecies of the bipedal dark person species"
so uh
Changing the topic back to krill because I just got a crazy idea:
What if krills where weapons created by the GW people that got out of control and that caused all the destruction we see there? The blue spotlight would be the diamonds that change into red just like the gigantic one in Eden did. They could have some sort of artificial intelligence that malfunctioned and started seeing light and creatures of light as threats, thus attacking them and, in the case of the children, stealing their winged light in an attempt to reduce their threat level.
sky has a religion
i mean look at the vault spirits names
monastic, acylor (idk the one who does telekinesis)
i cant spell
Accolyte I think

@mortal viper are you saying they created a genetically modified species and bred them to be dangerous to use for war?
They could be machines too
I mean, have you heard the noise they make?
Only when near death
when they move their joints clank
robots you mean?
@hushed steeple yup
when they move their joints clank
@hushed steeple exactly
OHHHH NONONONONO I HATE ROBOTS EVEN MORE NOW
screw the skybot
krills
just no.
but excellent theory
ok bye
Robobois
XD
krills reminds me of those patrol helicopters
Krills remind me of dragons but if they were deadly
next thing you know a krill is gonna sing "*i feeeel fantasticccc. hEY hEy heeeYYYY"
Krills remind me of dragons but if they were deadly
@zinc egret i mean they are called dark dragons in game
Yea
sky has a religion
@hushed steeple I feel it must be like buddhism. They worship the stars. At least that is what some paintings depict.
And they also pray to their ancestors and dead (we see it in the vault, the praying one. Also, most graves have candles by them)
Maybe it’s not even really related to an actual religion?
I am very biased however because worldbuilding religions is very very fun
Oh yes
maybe each realm had their own “god” aka the elders and worshipped differently??
Possible
I’d say probably
Each temple seems to cater to each elder
Let me just get a screenshot of the paintings i am talking about
Like with the prairies being filled with pots
I’d say probably
Each temple seems to cater to each elder
@zinc egret Oh, thats for sure
yeah
the temples isn’t really a religious place but more of a place importance of the elders if yk what i mean
yes
hence why temples arent super decorated and fancy like how a lot of religious shrines here irl
like forest is in a factory
i mean, except for prairie imo
Both this pantings are in Isle of Dawn, the very first cave you have to enter to get to the dunes.
What I understand from them is: they worshiped the stars, and then the stars (elders) came down.
The only thing still puzzling me is that last part of the second picture, with 2 people around some sort of spiky ball...
One
You’re kid is very pretty
Two I think they’re reaching out for the ball? Maybe that’s when they started harvesting
Doea vault has a temple?
It is a temple in itself perhaps?
At the tippy top but I think it’s fair to say that it is the temple
Temple of knowledge
"temple"
At the tippy top but I think it’s fair to say that it is the temple
That's just a copy of top of eden
One
You’re kid is very pretty
Two I think they’re reaching out for the ball? Maybe that’s when they started harvesting
@zinc egret maybe
I’ll check more the paintings, see if I find anything else
That “ball” is seen at a lot of places and seems to represent a lot of different things
It’s not the only mural that has the “ball”
Might be a sky child, considering they can rebirth, it’s not unlikely
No need of spoiler tag anything in this channel
Oh, I see
Talking about ball.... Eden elder's ball key... Just went there and took a pic
big ball
Imagine playing with this type of huge balls
That “ball” is seen at a lot of places and seems to represent a lot of different things
@sly kestrel yup, just found another one in Isle
The ball could be the circle we see around wl, especially if it is a representation of calling out
It would also explain our calls, which are spheres of ligjt
In vault there is a statue dedicated to each elder
I think the vault was a last ditch effort to store whatever knowledge they had about their society before what I’m calling the edening
Makes me think they knew this would eventually happen
Anyway each of the little things looks like the elders are teaching the people how to do stuff
At least to me it seems like the case
In a moment all the stuff will pop up fair warning
I don’t know about you guys, but to me, the first picture looks like the king is trying to eat the sphear
Maybe they are the one to blame for what happened to Eden?
I don’t know about you guys, but to me, the first picture looks like the king is trying to eat the sphear
@mortal viper I think it looks like it's leading way for the people on ships
@mortal viper I think it looks like it's leading way for the people on ships
@copper hatch the one depicting eden
Shield pattterns
@barren bloom aren't those just sand piles?
are the elders good or bad?
@copper hatch the one depicting eden
@mortal viper oops, you're right then, "uuu the balls are so nice I want it in my body"
@barren bloom aren't those just sand piles?
@mortal viper umm... Idk
are the elders good or bad?
@neon marlin that’s for you to decide
Forest aunt
Anybody have any idea what these are? graves, clocks, idk.
I imagine graves because of the dark plants in the first one could be considered flowers
I think maybe clocks? The two lights indicating times
The first clock showing the time when the rainbow comes
The second is not working anymore. In old version of sky it used to the the time when a boat will arrive
Rainbow?
Oh cool! I didn’t know that happened?
Yea you can see it above the entrance to the sunny forest
there is a third one
Tricky one
in the entrance to the Forest Temple, to the left, right after the jellyfishes
Tricky one
@swift helm oh yeah
what was it for, tho?
I dont even know
its an old beta thing tho
Yes if tgc is still here with us
Isle=Travellers/Travelling spirits
Praries=Belltower workers
Forest=Lumberjacks/Hunters/Miners and etc.
Valley=Arena/Stadium with spirit contestants
Wasteland=Battlefield
Vault=School/Spirit teachers/Teacher's lounge
Im also still confused about the vault
Isle isn’t traveling spirits
Traveling spirits are simply old spirits from past seasons
Maybe they mean Traveling spirits as Spirits who Travel
Yeah sorry i created confusion, and yeah I didn't mean The travelling spirits from old seasons lol
i think vault is a big library for scholars to record and stufy
Wow I left for 2 mins and I see 50 messages of discussion
@sly kestrel I look down now and see 1000+ messages....
Please delete the picture
But It's not accessible yet, which means it's still not supposed to be on live channels
If you got there it was most likely teleporting to someone who hacked into it so delete it please
Thank you
Where’s the official word that we can’t post in live channels yet?
good luck reading those
@mortal viper already done
Good enough?
That’s excellent thank you amn
then congratulations on getting to the end!
No problem, thank you for cooperating
Ok so quick question. Are the Valley elders siblings?
Question: are all elders siblings?
Okie lol cause I found a whole fight on fan art about it so I guess it's up for speculation
Ima assume they are cause I wanna
@upbeat siren same. I dont really see a gender with them bit they're just 2 competitive twins to me
Question: are all elders siblings?
@short owl All elders I don't think so
For some reason my brain thought that question was about valley elders specifically
Ok so quick question. Are the Valley elders siblings?
@pearl yarrow there's why lol, I need sleep
Lol it's ok sleep good
Little bit out of topic, did anyone already listing what are all the changes in new update? Visual wise
I think almost all actual changes outside the sanctuary area is listed in the patch notes, biggest being elder names
Wait, they have names?
All the spirits have names now
ohh Sorry i just realized T_T
is there any new areas beside the one at prairie?
ok, I got another theory. not as weird as robot krills, but still...
I noticed that the GW Temple is literaly the entry door to the Vault. So far so good. Then, as I was going through Vault's basement levels (I don't know what they are called) and I got to the exit and realized it really looks like a digged hole. There are 3 explanations for it:
- it was digged by someone trapped in the basement levels
- it was digged by the scholars to drain the levels
- (and the one I think is more likely considering all the levels are accesed by holes either on the ground/ceiling or on the walls) it was digged by thieves
So my theory is, someone was trying to steal from the vault, and those were the people GW were fighting in the battlefield. But when GW fell, so did the vault and their secrets/knowledge were stolen by whomever wanted it.
GW was Vault's only line of defense.
sorry in advance for any spelling or grammar mistake, I am sleepy
On another topic: does anyone has any theories about who/what this soldier may be? Is it just a statue in honor of a fallen warrior? Or maybe he is a grownup child who got petrified like we do in eden?
I think the hole in the maze (basement level) is made by the darkness breaking in, which is why there's crabs in there
and i got curious about the crab that being grilled beside that statue
Oh yes! That is interesting too!
But this statue just feel so lonely and sad... I just want to spend all my time by their side
i dont think that is statue, it got different texture than other rock statues
Yeah
anyone have tried to use (what is that thing called) beside him... that throw rock
that device
yep2, what is that thing do actually?
Pretty fun to yeet your friend in the air
It needs two children to work at its fullest
One to pull the lever
And the other to sit on the big spoon and be yeeted
It is a pretty fast way to cross the graveyard. You’re to high to be detected by the krills, so you can just fly
But someone will have to stay behind
*too high
@upbeat siren you talked about elders and spirits having a name, its true spirits have names but elders don't have canon names, their old names which are not canon were Hebrew letters
I think the hole in the maze (basement level) is made by the darkness breaking in, which is why there's crabs in there
@upbeat siren could be... but then, who put the ladder there?
@mortal viper you asked what the statue near the catapult is, I think it's just a soldier who used the catapult once and he just died there and it's now used to resurrect the catapult I guess
Yeah, i thought that too. But then why are they turned to stone? No other dead show up this way.
When we unlock normal spirit we follow their souls and then we see their statue, we probably just don't see the statues out in the wild because we don't need to
The statues look different though... The spirit’s ones looks like they are made of pieces of rock all stuck together (I believe it is darkness, hence why we need to burn it to release the spirit) while this one looks just plain and neat. Like a statue made by medusa.
It also doesn’t look like an Eden statue, because they have those blue veins/cracks all over them
another big mistery the developers left for us
Maybe he didn't die from darkness? Maybe he just died of old age?
Honestly, I too think it's just a decorative statue 🤔🤔 Like bluespirit mentioned, the material is different
The texture is very similar to statues in the Valley's race, also it has the same golden material with the catapult
//maybe im wrong about the golden material part but yep, statues are a thing in sky world and i dont think that's a stretch
perhaps
I feel that, because of the sword on the ground, it may be a statue honoring some dead warrior
sticking wepons on the ground is usualy used in battlefields to mark someone's grave
what would make sense in GW all things considered
Possible it is, I don't look much into statues though I know there are tons in Eden, the only thing I looked deep into was the definitions of the Hebrew letters which the elders were names after, although it's not canon sadly
I always find intrigueing how the king had 2 names 🤔🤔
maybe it is something from the beta version of the game
I always find intrigueing how the king had 2 names 🤔🤔
@sand knoll elaborate, please
i honestly have no idea who the king is
Ohhhhh

It's the Eden Elder that got scrapped from official game 💦💦
But there are still some traces of him left like the structure that looks like him in the golden wasteland
And the 3d model that had to be datamined
It had the names Alef and Resh
I have the definition for the first one, let me check if I have for the second
aleph is the first letter
Yeah
yeah
The second one is literally means leader!
the devouerer
Couldn't find definitions for resh ר
It's reish i believe?
Let me find the link real quick
The second one is literally means leader!
@sand knoll I was really hopping it would be Last
I don't trust anything in English about Hebrew 😅
The letter daleth or how you are supposed to say it Daled, ד, means the lowest point, under heaven, under the kingdom, whatever that means. Then the letter Ayin, ע, represents the eyes, but not seeing the physical, seeing the spiritual. The next letter is Teth, but you actually say it as Tet, ט, which means pure and good, and the right side of the letter seems to represent a person praying to the left side of the letter which seems like it represents the letter Vav, ו, which usually stands for God in Hebrew. Sadly I couldn't find much about the word Samekh, ס. The next letter is Tsadi, צ, which has a nagetive and a positive side to it. The letter is spelled like this, צדי, the first 2 letters, צד, means to hunt, which is negative becaus it's hunting for the physical things in life, unlike the last letter, י, which means God, the speritual world and the counting of the crown, which I don't understand what it means, but then you might think, by combining those 3 letters does it make the definition change to hunting God, seeking God, looking for the spiritual things in life, and I guess not because it says that it's raising the soul of the first man that was scattered because of the the sin which the first man committed, the job is to find the scattered soul particles so it will go to heaven. I can not find the definition for Lamed, ל, either but I do have one for the letter Alef, א. Some of the definitions for Alef is to learn, practice, and knowledge.
ר resh means leader/the head of
Had to do a lot of Hebrew reading and then translating it in my head 😭
ok, so the king is the weird looking guy inside the Eden buildind that is, aparently, attempting to devour a key to his realm or wtv.
who is the prince then?
Prince and king is an old concept so don’t immediately assume it’s canon
But
It’s hard to answer ur question
In some concepts, the king and prince were 2 different people
And in some other concepts, the prince and king were the same person
Jus different times when he got crowned king at valley and before he was crowned king and defined as the prince
What's canon is a little tricky
I know it is not officialy canon
I personal think canon is everything in the current version of the game (maybe excluding the ||office|| and the 8 person puzzle)
that is the only part I actualy understood from the pieces of discussion I read
I personally think canon means a machine that launches things using gunpowder
XD
Point is
There’s no official proof of the king/prince/eden elder being current canon....yet
I wanna belive he’s in game and it completes most of my theories but I jus gotta kno for sure
I hope they had an expansion to the base game at some point, outside of a season event
yessSSSS
the king plays an active role in the story of sky but maybe not in the way you may think
he's not there in the same way as the elders you see in the cutscenes
so....does this mean he’s in the lore officially?
Actually
Those 2 sentences are enough for me
Thank you ash
ONE OF THE GODS HAS SPOKEN
i knew it
i dont want to spill too many beans, but he is an important figure in the current lore of sky
What god? I see no gods
ty ash!!
I only see a tree
Ladies and gentlemen
We got em
I mean
he's just not there the same way as the spirits you see in the individual realms are
djsjjf
ksaskajdk
well reika through me off
Why are you taking reika seriously she said MARIO WORLD
reika is a chaotic gremlin
reika was joking
ok fine
THE PINS THROUGH ME OFF
Reika was also the same one to say the king existed in lore during a livestream
Idek if I’m using the right “through”
he did go to mario world on vacation though thats where the mario star in dawn came from, it was his souvenir
(kidding)
threw*
Yeah that sounds better
you can actually see the king's statues in Dusk and Storm!
a lot of things threw me off actually
But now I know
And yes it all makes sense now
I’ve seen 2 at orbit
Wait no not orbit
The ascent to orbit
really?
Looks like I need to do some sight seeing around sky to find him
thought ascent statues are scholars
There’s jus one thing I’m confused about tho
Ash’s lil hint about this symbol and I was able to connect it to the king statue
there are also subtle designs and motifs referencing the king in the world too. iirc some of the latticework in valley/dusk temple has a design pattern reminiscent of the kings head
oops i spilled my own beans LOL
Ya know... that symbol makes me think of the light symbol on the sky kids chests
the diamond symbol is a pretty important symbol of sky
it can be used to represent a lot of things!
Oh look found another one, they all seem to go around this design
A diamond with 3 other diamonds going up left and right
: D
Wow belonging must be a very important season then
@sly kestrel pressed flat king
could be worth discussing some of the meanings the diamond shapes may have and maybe what connections that symbolizes
flat king
hahaha
this is how he died
pancake king
not from eden
We relive spirit memories, right? Could the winged light be memories of the king?
He’s skinny
but flattened
Well I’m getting childish views of the diamond mask we get
We get to wear king head
I believe that mask is the rain elders headpiece but it definitely has weight if you consider the levels story
What lore party... Where's my popcorn... Need to read from starting

Diamonds.... huh. Very structured compared to all the organic designs elsewhere
+the purpose of the hidden forest residents at their time
I jus got confused since it had the 3 diamond thingy
Symbol of creation?
ooohw interesting
quick, write it down!
3 stooges
φ(. _ . )
purity and perfection, faithfulness, and uh this one is weird, promise between husband and wife. 😅
Symbol of light and brilliance; unconquerable; treasures, riches, intellectual knowledge.
Could be 3 ppl
3 sins
3 buildings
3 materials to make one thing
a simple king head
3 realms
3 places
Or maybe I’m looking at the whole thing wrong
Mayne diamonds are those artificial darkstones that represents those hidden power 👁👁
And there’s that too
The power diamonds made at forest
Though I’m hesitant to call it darkstone
I just looked into tom zhao's concept art that describes timeline backstory and darkstones are a pretty big milestone badumtss
Oh gods, I want to keep reading but it is 3 am already an I have to go to sleep
!bean @mortal viper go sneep
bluespirit#8811 (414920139633459201) was beaned. Reason: go sneep
Yeah go to sleep
Go to sneep
byby people!
gnight!
Good nightttttt
sneep well!
Good sneep is key for a healthy body 💪💪💪
Ash helped me with tons of answers to stuff but now I have a million more questions
Hmmm i do wonder why season of belonging has the same-ish symbol like you guys mentioned above--
Go
Spill them all!!!
//my first day chatting here, honestly i'm glad with my timing 🥺🥺
Oh that symbol was explained in a live-stream before I think
It was something accidental, it supposed to represent like a connection or things connecting like a chain, and this was the motive bc the season of belonging theme was bringing a family together, but they didn’t kno it looked like some of the symbols in sky until after it came out
Belonging diamonds are from irl sweater designs
....ok that I never knew before
i think it can work as both!
dual meanings
the enchantment symbol has multiple meanings as well
thats one of them!
wait what..
yeah
the boat
light in a boat, light in a cauldron
😳
season of enchantment pendant is a boat cut in half
Boat holding the light
Light in a pot
Ark carrying the light
Light in a cauldron
....horseshoe?
looks like an upside down ohm symbol
turn it upside down and it looks like an octopus
oh
Ω
Ω also looks like a human head
its a fancy U
well season of u, u helped the spirits to restore ark
Didnt it have the shape of a string instrument too? I forgot the name
But it was like a type of harp or sumtin
Harp
No it wasn’t it harp....ahh it had a tricky name
Lyre? Lire? Idk
Liar

yeah, it looks like a lyre
double-headed serpent
Oooo
Too interesting design....
If we enter physics here it could also act as symbol for conductivity
or It might be like carrying a beacon of light in a desolate land ...like the spirits did in ark
Oh wow all of them suit well
the star might represent the light ....
"Enchanted pearl of Golden Wasteland"
yes...like the diamonds in all other places
There are multiple meanings as well
we had to return the lights from all realms(like essence of civilization) to ark to bring it back to normalcy...it could also be referencing the pearl.
pearl is used in general to reflect something delicate and beautiful and precious at the same time....
it's like the spirits situation at first... stranded there(delicate situation)....but when the essence of civilization arrived they became a beautiful addition.
How did crabs arise?
Are crabs and dark dragons related?
Both are arthropods, kill your light
huh didn't think it like that...hmmm...
The crab mural in the crab cave near the forgotten ark is... something
Like everyone, spirits and creatures of light alike chilling and minding their own business when suddenly a bunch of crabs attacked and everyone running for their lives
Something worth mentioning is that according to the mural they seem to come from the earth? 🤔🤔
Maybe with the power of power diamonds crabs turned into killer krill
And in the mural didn't they arise from water?
Hmmm i don't think that was the crabs that turned into krills
And in the mural didn't they arise from water?
@hushed steeple ohhhh that's another way to look at which makes sense
Hmmmm maybe the crabs are pieces of creatures of light that couldn't "pass on"
Hmmm i don't think that was the crabs that turned into krills
@sand knoll
^i think so too but it's nice to think weird
There is a concept art about the creatures's life cycle
No mention of crabs though but maybeeeeee
When the creatures died an unnatural death they leave bones
Like the whale skeleton in the hidden forest
So maybe the crabs are bits of those skeletons that got sentience? 🤔🤔🤔
But there's no physical proof/mural to this theory for now
Yes that was a theory too
A creature’s life was mainly revolving towards the fact that they are always moving and migrating and we see that their final destination is at orbit
With this logic, creature corpses mean they they were there Bc of an unnatural death such as murder
So overall
If a creature is killed
It’s body will be left behind to rot
I guess u could theorize on what could’ve possibly happened in the graveyard....
It's in Forgotten Ark
Do wonder why the caption of ark says "an enchanted pearl in golden wasteland"
Pearl....?
What they meant by pearl
that made me think of "the black pearl" from pirates of the caribbean in particular as a ship, but more generally, just seems like an ocean-based treasure that just got left in the desert, maybe? i didn't really feel there was too much to read into there myself, though i could be missing something
also, something which just occurred to me: if the dark dragons are indeed based on shrimp or krill, then along with the crabs, all known hostile/dark creatures in the game are invertebrates (i.e. they have no bones, only an exoskeleton)
...and to immediately blow a hole in that observation, butterflies are also insects with no bones
wanted to go on a theory about how creatures of the light were vertebrates whereas dark creatures were invertebrates, but i guess that was already called into question when we're not even sure of the elders or the sky kids themselves
i think pearl is another description for treasure, so by “enchanted pearl” its like treasure/beauty among the wastes
It’s too weird to think that krills were crabs. Look at those small things. But if you realize, each time the blue light comes on a crab they hide in their shell.
If ur next to a crab and u get krilled
The crab will flip over as well
Some random thinking...
Say krills are like centipede-crab?
Some crabs that experienced something special and get merged together, hmm
That pearl is found near the ark
A little back story behind. Wish I would forget about it.
Ah well.
:O
It’s the same boat, but the under side
And we know there’s a same model of a boat crashed in crab fields (shipwreck)
So, they can move in water and go flying
Who else is enjoying the season of sanctuary music?

When I saw that, something just clicked
Stayed underwater thinking about why the boat was there and got honked at by fwends
Lore question: is there any info (like emote, area/object in realm) that reveals what the spirits ate?
they farmed so plants of sorts (shown in ark)
probably mushrooms (play fight spirit cutscene shows the spirit foraging mushrooms, tho idk if its for eating or for potion/spell making)
crabs (crab roast in wasteland)
Did the spirits use candles as currency while they were alive? Is there any clues as to whether the spirits used currency at all or whether they relied on a trade system?
I would imagine that candles would be a good food source for beings made of light. Perhaps the farms were for less... Aggressive candle plants
What did the people of prairie get in return for shipping butterflies to forest? Prairie seemed like a pretty self-reliant community, with jobs and whatnot, so what did they get from trading with forest?
the theory goes that by catching the light it gets turned into power diamonds, which are used by the whole kingdom
the theory goes that by catching the light it gets turned into power diamonds, which are used by the whole kingdom
@lethal stump We don't see hardly any power diamonds in prairie though
they’re still used, like in the two player doors in the village
prairie is low-tech, but that doesn’t mean they have none
@lethal stump Not enough to account for the extent of the processing industry in prairie. They had a thriving business of packaging and shipping butterflies, but there is hardly any technological advancement there
There must be something else they got out of it
well, they don’t need very much tech compared to the rest of the kingdom. they do pretty manual labour
also i bet what they got out of it was being part of the kingdom at all. as well as the fact this is a monarchy, things are going to be unequal.
Fair enough
Prairie and forest were peasant realms, while the others were like thriving cities with little reliance on the king
I only just realized the communist undertones of the game
bro keep politics out of the server—
we can chat in dms about it though if you want
More like anarcho-communist but still
Well it's lore related if it helps us understand the dynamic the elders had before they fell
hhhhhhh still, mods might delete your message
like i said we can talk in dms, but we should keep irl politics out of sky
Ok cool
as a chinese I think the game relates very much with the ancestral worship stuff in Chinese culture, I'm seeing 神主牌 everywhere
神主牌
what does that mean ?
Woah
literal translation would be a board for the master god, but actually it would be like a wooden thing with the ancestor / people that passed away's name and place of orgin and maybe other info engraved on it
and people offer them candles, incense, fruit or other things that that "ancestor" likes
so this is what it looks like in an elaborate version
As Jenova Chen is Chinese, I think that make sense
as for sensitive sentiment with the Chinese identity, what I mention for Chinese here refer to the race and culture, not related to the place of origin, like Slav can relate to people not only from Russia
woah, that’s cool
a lot like in beta where you found the spirits in one place and lit them there
could be... but then, who put the ladder there?
@mortal viper the season of belonging grandpa is the first to sneak in there (canon) so him probably
It's the Eden Elder that got scrapped from official game 💦💦
@sand knoll eden elder is canon not scrapped, as you pointed out we can see them in the mural there
@sand knoll eden elder is canon not scrapped, as you pointed out we can see them in the mural there
@hollow pier what mural ?
prince?
I also scrolled down further and see Ash has confirmed via official sources that the king is present in the lore! yaaaaaay now I don't have to be oblique about how I know the king is canon
Question for everyone, which statues in Eden do we think are the kings? There's only one design of statue in Eden right, the giant big ones that people keep pointing out?
“Ancestral tablet” is the usual translation for the wooden household shrine thingy iirc
I haven't seen the word around, but then I wouldn't recognize it. That said, I could very much see the gravestones/stabalizers playing a not dissimilar role?
instead of viewing the reams as a progression of human life. The realms can also be viewed as a progression of society. The gradual rise, to the peak (valley), then the collapse (wasteland), then just recoreds and memories are left of it
there's definitely many possible interpretations, though the devs have said that the two definite ones are the stages of life and times of day
those, and stages of civilisation, iirc
Sky kids walk on two legs in the morning, no legs in the afternoon, and two in the evening
Who else is enjoying the season of sanctuary music?
![]()
@lucid gull Where can I listen to it????
i keep seeing people talking abt || OOB || can someone tell me what that means?
Out of bounds
oob means out of bound
ooohh thank you!
does anyone know where the IRL skykid height thing is ? as well as krill length ? thank you !
thank youuu
If by ash confirming through official sources you mean she’s said what’s already been said many times and has a stupid amount of evidence confirming it
Going back to the theme of three on the diamond- the holy trinity is composed of three. Perhaps the king sought to become a god.
where did the king come from? was he one of the "fallen stars" along with the elders?
Yes, according to the intro
I think he only became the king after he fell, and his original form was the Child of Light
this might tie in with the idea of the king wanting to become a god/ascend, but were there any theories about what that giant red crystal was actually doing? more specifically, why it was shooting a giant ray of light into the sky
because it suddenly reminded me of the light you see right before you start ascending:
Hmm one might say the red crystal acts as some sort of power generator
Maybe it was too powerful of a generator and started to rip apart the surrounding realm
Imo that ray of light already existed in Eden before the eye was created, and acted as a portal to orbit. The eye was built around it to suck light directly from orbit
A destructive force in which the King may desire to increase his power
who knows tho since we don't know too much about him
i thought that it was the basis of some sort of passageway in planning to get back to the sky
and also, bit confusing when you look at the light in eden from afar is yellow, not red
Given that dark absorbs light, and a lot og similar crystals also absorb light... Maybe it absorbs energy from the environment and stores it in a place that can't actually hold it, causing said light to shoot out the only available direction (up). Light that goes any other direction gets reabsorbed, making it go back into the cycle
Red could just be a band of light capable of escaping the pull enough that you can see it
I think the light ray existed before the eye was created because spirits needed a way to ascend to orbit
it's probably the dust in the immediate atmosphere that's making it look red inside the eye of eden, whereas it appears yellow at a distance outside of the dust cloud?
hmm, interesting indeed
i'm liking the ideas about it being an attempt by the king to get back into orbit/the sky, though i wonder if that's actually physically possible -- i've always interpreted ascent as something sorta metaphysical/spiritual rather than physically happening
at least, going from that interpretation, the king trying to recreate a spiritual bridge to orbit physically would probably have terrible consequences if it went wrong
I don't think the king wanted to get back to the sky, but rather he was the cause of spirits settling down in the realms and choosing not to ascend anymore
or maybe, the original purpose was to get back to the sky... butaltered by the king along the way.
oh, that's an interesting one clueless -- do you think he might've actually somehow dragged the elders down?
From the intro, he is the central star to which all the others are connected, so it would make sense if his fall caused the rest of them to fall as well
I think the king was kind of like a representative of all the elders combined
What he did, they all did
i'm liking the ideas about it being an attempt by the king to get back into orbit/the sky, though i wonder if that's actually physically possible -- i've always interpreted ascent as something sorta metaphysical/spiritual rather than physically happening
@orchid crypt I think the beam of light is just the physical side of a bridge between the physical and metaphysical. It's the point at which the metaphysical meets the physical
then it's really a question of whether that red crystal is emitting the beam or trying to harness it
Imo it's trying to harness it, b/c a dark structure can't just produce light
Whatever the red crystal is, it makes recharges harder
it can't produce light, no, but it might be endlessly emitting light that had been stored for a very long time perhaps
Think about it: the diamond is absorbing light not from creatures, not from clouds, but directly from The Light (aka Orbit)
That would be enough to create an energy surge powerful enough to cause a mass extinction
yeah, if it's trying to absorb more energy than it's able to contain (presumably, nothing can handle that much light)
it can't produce light, no, but it might be endlessly emitting light that had been stored for a very long time perhaps
@orchid crypt It would have to have somehow absorbed enough light to be emitting it for hundreds of years and never run out. Where would it get that much light?
i was originally running on the idea it was drawing on the surrounding land, hence why nothing's growing in eden
Ooh that would also explain why we don't see any diamond factories in Eden: because all of that industry and waste was just to create one single power diamond
Ah thing tho, dark objects may not be capable of emitting light, but if they are hot enough, it can happen (infrared spectrum, the wavelength that comes before red in the electromagnetic spectrum). That is actually how most of research in astronomy id made.
So I believe this giant diamond is just really hot
