I'm pretty sure the winged lights are all children of light who died and failed their mission, and while we are on our mission we are helping those childrens' souls which are trapped to go to heaven

Another piece of evidence I just realized is that krill attacked humans, so they must have had some kind of light within them

I don't think so, the statues in Eden are like us, but they turned into statues same way as we do, they died, but I think their souls, which are winged lights, got trapped on the planet we are on, so we are bringing their souls back to their bodies, helping them get free and go to heaven as their souls should have.

That's because more children have died than there are statues in Eden, but that doesn't mean they are different, it's possible they died in other places, they could have died in wasteland for all we know, we are just returning their souls to their dead bodies in Eden which is only a small part of the dead ones

The Story of season of enchantment (by me):
Once upon time, there was an Arabic traveler peddler horde leading by (The Quest giver)... They was collect the falling stars in rainy days and extract and use them to create the elements lights which are the main ingredient besides mushrooms to make potions and spell... And they sell it for living
their ships was formed by one big ship it cellar loaded by their light,spells and potion and 2 ships with mushrooms and vegs...
One day on their sky sailing, a big black clouds start to forme IT S A STORM coming... They start to search a land to wait there till the storm pass... They found a mountains they r safe... But no when they get closer it s a KRILL's den ... They try to run away but the storm push them... Krill spot them ... attack and destroy their mushroom ship... The crew panic and they go toward the life boat trying to run with their lights ... But boom they get lost in storm... Krill attack again the main ship ... The storm throw them to sand (ark)...
The storm subsided, releaved shipwrecks... Is there s a survivers!
The leader of crew wake up ... He search for his people... And yeah he find 6 of them.

After they gather around as they r happy to survive they were sad abt losing their people...
The "Crab walk" And "scare go to explore the area searching for exit ...The others search for food and anything can use to fix their ship in their shipwercks...In evening, They gather around with a misery atmosphere... The only exit way is guarded by krill ... There s no way to fix the ship ... they get a lack in food and water... The lights are lost
They surreunded... WE ARE FORGOTTEN Here.
The "Nood" Think and here she get draw all their story on ship wall ... When they wake up the nood show them and she was so proud to tell them "our story will live we ll never been forgotten"...
The "snooz" recive the energy , she get up and start to prepare the main ship to look better as their shop, she worked hard, she was super tired, she fall sleep stand..

They start to move to live their last moment happyThe "scare" And his sis "play fight" Go to farm
But there was crabs...so the "crab walk" Use the crab walk to guide them/ a camouflage to let others do their work...
And there s no water... So the "chrung" Need to do spell beside they lost bleu light it was hard and no mushrooms ...
So "play fight go to plant/pick up mushrooms and the " Scare" Was prank her will she pick up mushrooms so she fight him...
The "chrung" Try and try ot doesn't work he was chrung what he ll do .... Finally he did it it clear the dark water
The "scare" go to sowing and when he go to bring water he find birds in his field he scare them to fly away...
This is the story but they didn't have peace till we give them their legacy their lights 🥺

Yes we bring their lights...... I think after getting the lights they started their journey towards wasteland to recover that barren land using those lights power... But in the way their ship crashed and the lights lost in the sky kingdom.... They wished to get back those lights and we skykids full filled their wishes

A lot of people talk about the rebirth process being a tool to rid sky kids of darkness but i wonder if the purpose of rebirth is not to get rid of darkness but to balance darkness and light within.

Umm guys i think this area is more likely a part of vault. Those big doors made me to think about it.....also when we watch the elder cut scene the elder is not in this area/temple... It shows he's at outside of this area(end of battlefield).... Most likely he's protecting this area from outside. Not staying in here

Most likely because the vault stores all of the elders valuable items(history, light, etc) and it’s the one place they needed to defend at all costs

I read on the google doc that there could have been a civil war In the wasteland. So it may be the elder is defending rioters and revolutionists who want access to the vault when they’ve been denied access to its contents

@red meteor i am so glad to explain. It has vast meaning from the way of life to design ecstatic, originate from Japan. But one thing is common, it is the embrace of imperfect and incomplete, simply put the beauty of imperfection; perfectly imperfect.

Here i am pointing out the ending of Sky, where Skykid died at the end of the process, whatever objective that we need to do or should have do at the end, it seems incomplete. So it's wabi-sabi, the acceptance of the ending.

I was kinda curious and was timing running through the levels(not including cutscenes) to confirm something and yes, I realised that the levels are timed out to correspond to the length/period of life they represent. Isle for example takes about 3-4 minutes, prairie was about 9 minutes(completing bell towers) and forest which represents teenage took about 7-8minutes.
Might not be accurate because miscellanneous factors but my point is there

I've Faced a weird situation.... I tried to glitch in eye of eden and yup i succeed with a friend....see the pic... the fact is no one of us was sitting on floor.. but for me my friend was sitting on a spot and for her i was sitting .. tho we were walking towards that giant red stone... It was like for me ..my friend wasn't in his skykid body and for her I'm not in the body... It's like we become a soul who can travel but no one can see us

I wanna share my Sky story before the current Sky state, basically it's like Sky's history but based on my point of view.. it's super long though, and im planning to make a comic for it but i don't think im gonna finish it haha,, is anyone interested to read it??

Let's start with the basics. So as you may know, there's the "Dark" and "Light". They oppose each other and you can only defeat one with the other. Creatures of light are made out of this Light, without it they would eventually die out. But as long as they're lit up again, they'll Light up again, you can say they're technically immortal in a way. Now Creatures of Dark are never supposed to show themselves, but the Light can't spread out evenly throughout the entire continent, so things started to build up in the shades, the Dark. Starting from the water, it'll get infested slowly then forming to dark plants, then the crabs crawled out of their hiding and finally.. the Dark Dragon. No one knows where they originally came from and how, it remains as a big mystery all this time.

Fighting system/background:
The crime rate are actually very small in the world of Sky— actually, there wasn't even any crime or violence back then. But revolution and change are inevitable whenever civilization exists, there will be people and governors, and there is order to everything. And from there, eventually 5 main laws were made, as follows:

1. Regular civilians can only have a maximum of 3 flight power. Valley skaters and gliders have the maximum of 5 flight power.
2. Any illegal trades/purchases for prohibited spells, tools, weapons, and the kind shall be considered as a serious crime, and those that violates the rules will be punished accordingly.
3. Trespassing against restricted lands/properties shall be considered as a violation, and the consequences shall not be taken lightly.
4. Creatures of light are considered as ancient relics and shall not be harmed in any ways.
5. The Race of Triumph are strictly a tradition sports, interference from outside forces shall be considered trespassing.

For a heads up, the elders have subordinates that carries out tasks/their direct orders. They usually have a lot of flight power, the maximum being 10. But so far only one has that much power.. Ivandu Taran. The heads of the Guards. Now there are four roles (highest to lowest in terms of power):

   Since sky kids can't actually "die" , the only way to "kill" someone is by taking out their Light. And even by doing so, they'll only be contained for around 15 minutes in the Limbo before respawning at their set "spawnpoint". Hence, that's why putting out someone's Light completely would only be a disadvantage. To take out someone's Light, you need a Darkness Essence. Of course if not handled professionally, it could also take out the wielder's light, that's why a Guard is considered as someone who's strong and mighty. And not everyone can obtain a weapon, the production amount is VERY limited since the weapons are given straight from the elders. And like the Spell Casters, this weapon is also capable of doing Light Attacks, not only Dark Attacks. Dark Matter is very dangerous to deal with, and only the elders are permitted to obtain it and know where it comes from. A Guard's job is to find, and imprison criminals that violates the law to send them in the elders' jail. In this jail, there is no source of light at all and you'll be trapped there for however long is your prison sentence. The highest form of crime would be law number two. This will cause your prison sentence to be "entire life" , imitating death. There is no way to get out of the jail, and you'll stay as a "grey kid" as long as you're imprisoned. Of course unless a miracle happens and somehow someone managed to break through the guards and security just to do a jail break.
3. LIBRARIANS
   They work for the Vault's elder, and they lack in population. Not anyone can become a librarian, since they need to be extremely intelligent and posses a good amount of curiosity and interest in studies. They help the Vault's elder throughout the Vault, whether it's to tidy the place up, research unfinished data, or help the elder herself find stuff in between all the books and lanterns.

4. COURIERS
   There are a lot of them, and they're always busy to deliver winged lights to those that requested and are granted by the elders. To obtain a winged light, you need to state the reason why you need it? is it simply for show? What do you strive for? Many failed and gave up numerous times on the winged lights— because their reasoning was not clear and interesting enough for the elders'. And, the couriers received a special blessing from the elders' themselves so they could see through a regular civilian if they're telling the truth or not. Sadly, the couriers are considered as the 'lowest' position in the elders' subordinates, and that blessing only works against normal civilians.

Extra information:

1. The elders doesn't have actual names, it's just nicknames they made up for each other since they're all close friends. (If anyone calls them by this name other than among themselves, you're dead meat.)
   Isle of Dawn: Islan
   Daylight Prairie: Dayne
   Light Forest: Herlena
   Valley of Triumph: Vel & Vay
   Golden Land: Galen
   Vault of Knowledge: Aruhev

2. Rumors are the elders are hiding a lot of things, one of the most famous rumors are that the winged lights are actually from the deceased sky kids, formed from their "souls". But many doesn't believe this, because everyone thinks that no one can actually "die".

3. Traders (in the current Sky game we know them as the Spirits that gives you emotes.) are usually the ones that travels and sell things, but it doesn't mean that Sky kids aren't allowed to do trades with each other.

For more explanation for each law:

1. Because the information about winged lights are very little up to this day, their origins and whereabouts are completely random. It is considered a rare substance and the elders can't let the people know about this, so the only way to obtain winged lights are through the couriers.
2. Illegal items for trade for regular civilians would be: Weapons, Dark Spells, Dark Matter, Ascended Candles, Winged Lights, etc.
3. Restricted areas are: Private Property, (lands that are bought with candles by regular civilians) Vault of Knowledge, Race of Triumph, (you need to be a skater/glider/staff to enter the racing track.) Golden Land's pipes/factory, (authorized personel only.) Elders' room. (authorized personel only.)
4. Creatures of Light are: Butterflies, Jellyfishes, Mantas, Spirit Mantas, Birds, Leviathan, Fishes, Mushrooms, flowers, etc.
5. In order to become a skater/glider you need to send an application to the Valley's elders through their couriers. After they accepted your application, they will send you some winged lights as a starter pack. But it's not as easy as that, you would need to race against the other applicants at the assigned date and time in order to see if you have the talent for it. Those under 3rd place will fail and their winged lights will be taken back by the couriers. Those who succeeded, (first-third place) will have to train and work hard at the training grounds if they want to win in the actual Race.

The winners of the Race of Triumph will gain candles, a medal, and winged lights.
1st place: 6 candles + winged lights enough for a flight power upgrade. (if they already have the maximum limit of flight power it would be exchanged for 2 candles instead.)
2nd place: 4 candles + 3 winged lights. (if they already have the maximum limit of flight power it would be exchanged for 2 candles instead.)
3rd place: 2 candles + a winged light. (if they already have the maximum limit of flight power it would be exchanged for a candle instead.)

After a while, the war got so much worse and eventually all realms became uninhabitable, the elders decided to combine their powers along with the civilians (sky kids), and dispersed it into the sky, hoping that their Light would develop into souls and come down to save the kingdom again by restoring the Light throughout the realms. You can say it's kind of like the "end of the world"

Note that the civilians back then have their own consciousness, and they don't have to wear masks and they actually have eyes/pupils.
