No this area is also called battlefield as written in the wiki
There are frozen soldiers here
where are they? I only see petrified kids
Yeah there are kids too
only kids
But I think they statues that break apart due to the wind are the soldiers
In the wiki also it is stated that there are soldiers
sometimes you can reach close to them without them breaking apart (i think it's a bug), but they are all kids
crystals penetrating poor kid
Like a soldier with armor
wtm I have a closer pic
Wiki
yeah i read that and I am questioning wiki now
I have never seen soldiers, trenches, or fortifications
who is that?
maybe they saw that on wiki too?
Maybe
wiki is usually right
Ohh.. poor kid
Wiki is usually right but remember, no one ever confirmed this was a battlefield ever and it’s not like the devs gave wiki special treatment or anything, so most likely they are going by what they theorize and their view of things
How did u get the big face?
and I think the pic in wiki isn't the current Eden

@sly kestrel hmm
and I think the pic in wiki isn't the current Eden
@humble barn no it was updated.. i think
They say about the current updates there
Ahh so that is the picture up close, posted that sometime ago
Like the alternate ending being removed and all
And what are the red crystals tho? Fragments of the eye of eden?
probably, but some crystals look like they have grown
I remember soneone said the face might be upside down
it's facing up
Like mocha said, it’s one of the scholar statues like the ones at orbit
^other statues which look similar to the fallen one
I heard all the crystals in Eden were blue in old beta, so probably the crystals we can see in this pic had the same color before
Back in old beta, when u were dying there wouldn’t be black rocks falling out of u, there would be blue crystals growing out of ur body
i've been thinking about how the levels symbolise stages of the rise and fall of the ancestors' civilisation. specifically, i've been thinking about how there are some parts of the levels where you can't go backwards.
once you leave the isle behind and fly into the clouds, you can't go backwards. no turning back. maybe that symbolises that once they decided to build flying boats and create a life in the clouds, they couldn't (or wouldn't?) go back.
interestingly, after finishing prairie, you can go backwards. so even after all the butterfly farming and whatnot the prairie ancestors did, they could have stabilised civilisation in that state.
instead they went into the "forest phase", making power diamonds. once you enter the forest temple (the diamond factory), there is no turning back. so maybe using the light energy to make power diamonds isn't something that can be undone.
there's a small peaceful moment after the forest temple, and then you fly up high into the clouds. once you fly into the clouds, towards valley, you can't return to forest. so maybe that symbolises another turning point in their civilisation.
in valley, it's often hard (but not impossible) to go backwards. it's mostly downhill, so it's hard to backwards in there. in the flying race it's impossible to go backwards. once you finish the race, you can't go backwards. it's like once the civilisation peaked, there was nowhere to go but down.
the next turning point would be the end of wasteland, when you enter the temple. maybe symbolising the massive battle they had, which obviously can't be undone.
then there's vault of knowledge, which is full of turning points, obviously. once you ascend to the next level of the vault, you can't go back down.
the last turning point is the point of no return, in eden.
sorry for the wall of text. hopefully someone finds this interesting
Woah that’s really interesting Joshur!
Although I don’t think you can go backwards after you enter the prairie temple
/nah, you can do backwards after prarie temple
/Also, since each realm symbolizes a stage in life, wasteland is like the "midlife stage"
the krills are like the midlife crisis, it hits you hard
I scrolled up and saw menrions of a deleted alternate ending-
What was that
Wasteland is mid life crisis
Not jus the krill
/and forest is like the moody teen. the rains harms you, but not the water, so it's like being moody, it's still you (like rain and water is still basically H2O), but sometimes your angry, sometimes you're cool
and the elder there is like that older sibling who hates her little brother/sister
Forest Elder hates Valley Twins haha
/valley twins are like that cool uncle and auntie everybody has, who teases you and puts you onto their shoulder at play time
isle is the kind grandpa and prairie lad is bby
/and vault elder is like the neighbor's old lady who gives you cheek pinches
"aww look how much light you've gotten"
@hoary violet /i used a resize potion
oof xD
wasteland is the dad
@hoary violet /he vows to protect his children at all cost

I was wondering, what if the spirits we saved couldn't go to Heaven after their deaths? What if they had something to show us and so they remained trapped in stone (Remember we save them with our lights), waiting for someone to come? The place where Oreo is have one spirit that points at the Sky, and then another unknown one do the same
I mean... There were obviusly way more spirits in every Kingdom but we see only the ones we can save
I was only pointing about the place where he is, since there's a spirit there :0
Maybe the spirits we save were somehow important to elders?
The other population went to heaven
But the spirits to save
I thought about that too, but some of them seems like ordinary ones
I think they had something to tell us
Maybe they wanted us to learn a bit about their stories?
Something important
/what about the seasonal and traveling spirits then?
The bell towers in prairie, only 3 houses are under them
Seems like they were important to the elder of prairie
The spirits who lived there
@gilded fossil still part of the society but different purposes?
But how did the people of prairie die?
Exactly?
I mean ... Since the Eden storm damage cought places like Westeland, Valley and Forest more... Maybe Praire spirits died because they got old?
But they had houses well protected, why they died like that?
Yup!
Maybe the eden storm had a shockwave and even though being lowley affected the effects of the storm made them age quickly?
/how did the storrm effect valley tho?
It was close
What if ... The storm came when the spirits couldn't notice it?
/it seems nice there?
The spirits last memories were being champions, cheering and being racers
You can't see the buildings crumbling down?
Yep yep!
Eden looks like an advancement city tho, but it looks like an Atomic Bomb hit it
They're our guides thru realms
/i think winged light is like the ancestors left it there to help us along the way
Valley represents a lot of those 6000 year old civilization
Like Diana said they guide us
/no yogurt tho, not rome
Like the Colosseum
The Olympians?
Maybe?
Probably the entrance of the Sky Kingdom? We see only a big tample tbh
But we see 2 takeoff locations
/and tapestry of the lore
Maybe it was a entry/exit point for travellers from other kingdoms
I would love if the devs add more places or more Lore things to the Isle of Dawn tbh ...
Taking a look at beta could help
/no isle of dawn is designed to not confuse players
From light awaits
Uuh true
I would love if the devs add more places or more Lore things to the Isle of Dawn tbh ...
@steep coyote /its best to keep it too a minimum
Yep, I can agree to that because it's also the starting point
Those are the Sky temples
/wait, isnt there murals in the cave you enter in isle too?
Family photos?...
Those are the ones interesting
Hmm not really
They are actually picking up fallen stars?
I have to log in and take a shot
I forgot this morning
Ahahah
You meant this?
@lilac stone notice how close those stars are to land?
/hey look, the tapestry in the intro actually matches the murals
First mural
@lilac stone
@lilac stone notice how close those stars are to land?
@steep coyote /oh yea they dooo
Maybe the spirits were trying to pick them up and then giving them to the Elders?
Also there
They were bringing the lights they found somewhere
/with boát
/boats seems to be everywhere, although we as players dont see them as much
/only broken boats
/maybe the storm drank all the water away? and why is valley frozen, at the rink there's a broken boat there, so people must have sailed there at one point
/and the shape they are holding there resembles the constelations at Home, and seems to be drawn as something from the player, so maybe they are offering their own light as oppose to the light they found
I saw someone posted in reddit that there was supposed to be a boat in Prairie but was removed later
The invisible one?
@ember zodiac
Also seeing the pictures in order, they probably prayed to the heavens, collected the fallen stars that were sent down, and then brought them somewhere, perhaps to trade, as we see in the murals in forgotten ark. The spirits of the ark probably collected stars and traded them to get the colored lights.
Also, from the intro scene:
“With the stars united, our light was infinite.”
This most likely means that the stars, maybe spirits, once lived in peace and harmony. There were no worries, and everyone was happy.
“But darkness came, and the stars fell...”
A great tragedy came. The krill probably started moving in, along with many other dark beings. They spread darkness across the lands. It drove the stars/spirits out of their homes, and they searched for a new place to live.
“Together, the fallen stars made a new home in the clouds.”
The spirits settled in the land and sky in which our skykids now roam, together once more. Also, the capital was the palace on the storm, as seen in the cutscene. It can be seen in almost every realm in the distance and approached in Eden.
“If only they had listened...”
This part is very vague to me. The cutscene shows the spirits’ homes disappearing and the stars moving again, but listened to what? We need more clues to find out what this means.
“A long time has passed. Now, I call to you.”
Many years have passed. Possibly an elder, probably the vault elder if it is, speaking to your Skykid. The land needs rescuing, and the elders and spirits and stars all need help too.
“Wake up, child. Bring our lost stars home.”
The elder now awakens your descendant/Skykid and sets it off on its journey.
The story of sky is somehow connected to coming-of-age, too. Probably.
@pseudo iris We made a theory about it 2 days ago, lemme see if I can find it.
Ok let's make a summary of the intro:
With the stars united, our light was infinite. ->Megabird, the ancestors uniting?
But darkness came, and the stars fell... ->Elders falling from Orbit
Together, the fallen stars made a new home in the clouds. ->Creation of the six realms
If only they had listened... ->The sin someone did, The King eating the apple aka using diamonds to control light and darkness
A long time has passed. Now, I call to you. ->Elders turning into stone
Wake up, child. Bring our lost stars home. ->Us retrieving WL's to Eden.
This is like a very little summary. Use search to find the more complex version of the theory.
Ah thanks
Also I saw someone had posted a timeline a rlly long time ago... I wanna go check that out.
I guess it was in the pins
Nah it wasn’t, just a pic a long time ago. Lemme see if I can find it in my photos
@sly kestrel you found more diamond factories in wasteland?!
This is proving more difficult that I thought ll
Lol*
Yeah I think I don’t have it
Ah well
Wait what the heck how did I not think of that
I could just search it hahahhaha
Here it is
Thanks original creator
The original creator is a developer of Sky
It's concept art!
I’m just curious but what exactly is the King and the Megabird and who came up with them?
Also as quoted in Japanese stream 2, Valley was the heart of the civilization
So Eden was probably more of a palace where the King once lived
Like the storm I mean
The invisible one?
@pseudo iris yes..
Ah I know how the megabird was seen now
I think the Elders rebelled against the Megabird to be the most powerful and so he made them fall from the Sky..
Maybe
@ember zodiac is the boat still there? I actually saw it
Like
Before update
The post said they removed the boat
But its still there but invisible
That concept timeline is no longer canon and barely any connections can be made to current sky lore bc of how old it is
@hollow pier yes I’ve found 3 so far, but I starts to think wasteland is a bit more vast than we think, so there’s a possibility that there’s more
Are there statues of the King in the wasteland? It does kind of look like it. Would they be beta things they just kept in? Or would they be something else?
Here’s a picture of some of them
There are 2 more at the graveyard’s exit
Sky's lore is so interesting and Im tempted to read every single message in this chat
@sly kestrel where are these factories? One by the first krill, I heard you say one off in the distance of the first area, where's the third?
Are there statues of the King in the wasteland? It does kind of look like it. Would they be beta things they just kept in? Or would they be something else?
@fading bear I definitely believe those are statues of the king
One diamond factory to the left of the first area and one to the right..?
There's also another king statue ontop of the diamond factory (above the second wall in the first wasteland area)
actually I think that's just the wasteland temple from afar
the forest temple/diamond factory silhouette doesn't really match the silhouettes of the factories to either side of the first wasteland area
Not rlly.....It wasn’t supposed to take the form of one huge physical bird
It’s jus supposed to represent a high entity being of light that rules over everything
I've always wondered what the structure west of the first area of wastelands is
Another diamond factory?
It's a big building that looks like a shrine
Dawn is the boat place innit
I have a theory about Isle of Dawn, I think it was a port where boats were made. After the crystal broke the stones we see falling in Eden fell and the impact turned them in sand that covered the whole port.
That was probably the shore
Corrupted red rocks from eden turning into sand?
I think Isle was already sandy
sand is natural
it's possible that the water that's there now used to come up to the cliff, or that there was some sort of earthquake that shifted the landscape
Does anyone has the hd version of backstory timeline picture we’d find in Tom’s blog?
Ye
Keep in mind it’s no longer current canon and this is REALLLYY old
If u zoom in it will appear blurry at first so u gotta wait a few seconds
Thank you

I like how the ark was decanonized and then added back recently in a totally different capacity
Nah it’s a different ark
Wayyy way different
In the timeline, the ark was like the almighty creation of darkstone that eventually led to their downfall and caused the huge storm on the mountain
In this current sky story
The ark was something the scholars used to travel on their quest to prosperity using the lights
Sorry I read it wrong
Corrupted red rocks from eden turning into sand?
@sly kestrel are all the rocks there corrupted?
Well to me it jus seems logical that isle of dawn always had sand there and it was always a beach
I don’t think rocks traveled all the way from eden and then isle became a beach from those rocks
Yeah, I just thought about a place where they built the boats
Prairie?
And thought that cliff/shore is a bit unnatural
Ah
I think they got to Prairie using the boats, right?
There are theories the water level sunk down because of the obvious change in altitude between the plates
yeah, they went everywhere with the boats
So far we have only seen the prairie have ruins where they manufactured boats
i forgot which spirit it is, but its behind a two player door
The middle tower one
Lol

Boba
Bois what do you think about this?? (Maybe you talked about this some time ago but i would like yo hear your theories)
Looks like a factory with the pipes
Could be the same structure we see at Shipwreck but intact
Maybe
im wondering if maybe spirit mantas are mantas with no light while krills are just dark mantras
im reading throught the pinned canon and non canon lore and it seems plausible
or krills are lightless and ghost mantras have barely enough light and can only appear as ghosts
Hi
lol
have you read all the pinned lore
im still reaidng
first isnt
i love at the end that the only community known term is moths lol
bahaha
i’ve read both of those documents but still catching up on the other stuff ahaha
it’s all very interesting though
lore is super kewl
i was looking through some concept art just earlier and it’s so coooool
ya its pretty
this channel is very on-and-off-ish
idk
but like sometimes it’s super active and other times it’s just dead
ya sometimes lots of peopke are here
yep
adieu
baiii
Is there a database of concept art somewhere?
yes and no, there's a lot of concept art in the pins
but no official database, I don't think
Ok, thanks @cold steppe I know most is not canon, however it is neat to see how the lore has evolved which is why I asked here
yeah!
I'm excited to see where TGC is taking this game. I believe they have said that this game hasn't reached half of its potential or something
@cold steppe I am as well, and looking forward to learning more of the story, and figuring out what happened!
I looked into the backstory timeline
So thats why the ferryman elder is so old
He retired
And didn't die prematurely
Whoops wrong chat lol
i wish game theory would do a theory
L
HAHAHAA
oh
I think that’s jus from ruin and decay
Bc the sky world is rlly old and skykids came years after the extinction of the skykingdom
So there’s going to be lots of broken buildings and ruin everywhere
But the same side is broken. And if they were decaying ,both of em sHoUlD have broken...
One day, a girl named rem will write ur name in a notebook
And you will have a heart attack 🙂
I hope that day comes soon
Well in my opinion I don’t think there’s too much of a deep meaning in that broken horn
In my view, it’s jus a result of old decay and part of the ruin in valley
And that day happened already
All ur fans cried
And then some white haired kid replaces u
In my view, it's not. So I'll see🤔🤔
Poor kid. His hair were bleached by someone and they used him as a broom to clean the floor.
😮
Who is the sky kid that comes in orbit and waves to us?
Not in the group of kids u freed I think
I think that child of light who restores our cape is the megabird
Part of the megabird anyways
I’m at the very least positive that said child is who has left behind all the winged light
Have I missed any new lore the last few days?
I think that child of light who restores our cape is the megabird
@hollow pier Maybe.. Very much possible
Hmm
I don’t remember any kid waving to us
Yep.. Maybe Megabird manifests into the Shiny kids/stars to guide us
Hmm
I don’t remember any kid waving to us
@sly kestrel at last in orbit
OHHHH THE ASCENDED KIDS THAT WAVED
Yea those are jus the kids that we gave our winged light to
When the sky kids u free gives u the candles..
One kid still remains at last...
And waves
How can there be two of me?!
I’m confused what ur talking about honestly
When the kids wave, it’s like their thank you
And then u wave back
There’s no final kid at the end
Maybe it was a bug
I have a new theory
It was more like a cutscene
After all the kids fly away after giving u the candles.. One of them remain at last.. that's a cutscene.. he waves at me and then flies away
Doesn't give anything
There’s the ark, right?
Is this what TGC has been planning for a while?
Was the ark of some religious importance to the sky people?
I’ve been playing this game for a rlly long time
I don’t remember any “final kid” that waves at us. It shows a cutscene of all the kids we saved and when they go to the stars, they drop ascended candles and then that’s it
Idk if there was an update or something
But I don’t remember a final kid
There’s the ark, right?
@zealous solstice maybe.. I didn't know what was that before.. I thought this was just a travel spirit location
And what’s with the orbs? Is that going to be a final piece of the 6 spells we’ve been given every week?
@ember zodiac the ark thing has always been there ever since that event came around
Did they take inspiration from Noah's ark??
I think it’s related to the end cutscene for the season
It was the light seekers
Travel spirits aren’t new spirits that are being added
They are old seasonal spirits that return
@ember zodiac the ark thing has always been there ever since that event came around
@zealous solstice oh.. I was new then.. started in April
I remember how I saw the final kid
@sly kestrel
Ima go to eden and record the end cutscene to show u
No no
Listen
It doesn't show u just like that
After I got the eden candles, I had to close the game for some reason..
Then after I opened the game again, the orbit cutscene played again. This time there was a kid waving at me, tho he didn't give me any candle. And that kid was shown from a different camera, up close..
P.S. I closed the game just as I got the candles.. And didn't move ahead towards the constellation shrine
@sly kestrel

I’ve been playing this game for a rlly long time
I don’t remember any “final kid” that waves at us. It shows a cutscene of all the kids we saved and when they go to the stars, they drop ascended candles and then that’s it
@sly kestrel I think its the same cutscene, since he got dc only one kid will show up instead
no need to think deeply on that
Dc?
Disconnect
Ooh
I just realized a yikes
So in Sky, we're basically exploring the ruins n echoes of a lost civilization right? Cus like, everyone that's not a sky kid is canonically dead, that's why they appear in front of gravestones after you've collected them in the next level. But in Valley, when you play the races, you hear cheering
If everyone's canonically dead and it's all just ruins, who or what is the cheering coming from?
There aren't any spirits in the stands...
In my view
The ppl are dead but their spirit lives on, I think those voices are the echoes of the people who once lived there and since their spirit lives on, their cheering and voice can be heard
I guess, but if that were the case, wouldn't we be seeing a little more evidence of the old sky people other than the spirits we interact with?
I think that'd be cool
To just walk through forest and half a little spirit kid run past you before disappearing
Huh, interesting
I didn't think of it that way
It would talk a lot to jus add a bunch of spirits everywhere like that
And the spirits we see are jus spirits that are supposed to unlock emotes for us, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t anymore ppl that exited there
i always had a theory that valley acts like a shell echo. you know how when u put a shell to your ear you can hear sea waves, even tho you’re not near the sea?? i feel like valley works the same, the voices are just echoes of the past spirits
Ooo
Jus like how u can hear scary voices at the end of the eden tunnel
It was actually kinda creepy the first time
oOooOoOooooOooo 👻
the wind theory sounds cool too, like the race was designed to imitate cheering kinda scary tho 👀👀
I like to think those voices in the Eden tunnel are the same voices in Isle
omG yess sjjsj
idk why but i often feel like the wind is imitating voices and it’s scary lol
I feel like there’s a deep meaning to the tunnel at eden, I wanna speculate there but idk where to start
Those voices rlly got me hooked onto it
voices of the statues maybe 👀?
or the star children, there’s lots of them in the tunnel
Maybe
But howcome u can only hear it once u reach the end of the tunnel
this kind of energy in one place is bound to make some stuff happen
sounds like it’s the statues, you can hear them once you get close enough
and can’t in the storm cuz of well, the storm
wonder if we could cook crabs, they only seem to heat up for now 👀
I'm
Here's Eden
It's death and staues
Theres are those who have been struck so much, they freeze. Alone and away from a storm that's fast enough to outright turn their body into dust
These only survive cause they are sheltered from the storm.
If you think about it, we're the only thing that would've lasted this long
But who built this?
And why is that stupid Eden symbol on our chest but also here.
It's there on the table cloth
Since it shine like eden
Diamond press door plus diamond giant crystal
I suppose
That table cloth is from the season of belonging
Their cute lil family welcomed me to join them 😖
Vinde u might have to calm down with the random pictures, try captioning it before sending so we can understand
They're all evidence. I'm about to start a document soon
Oh no I've begun making essays
I'm not doing too much work... I just enjoy cataloging my journey... My album has become cumbersome
I tried going inside the other part of the castle, (the one going up to Orbit) but I failed miserabily

@pastel sonnet pinned message!
I used to think it was really vague and interpretative, you know, only things mentioned in the game, but the other day I entered this chat and someone mentioned something about a prince or something
So now I don’t know if there are more precise bits of lore I missed
Oh!
Then the Person you are searching for is probably @sly kestrel
If I remember correctly he was the one saying something about the Prince

@steep coyote oh thank you so much!
No prob dear
I just joined this Discord and it has been great and really helpful, thanks again!
I'm glad you feel comfortable! This community is simply amazing I must say
guys quick maff...... why crabs have similar shell like turtle
nevermind my bad forget it
wrong channel buddy
I don't think crabs have a shell like a turtle really...
it seems more like a moving rock
They are invertebrates
Guys we need a sky animal guide book
Wich means that they are covered entirely by solid stuff
h
That’s called a wiki
where r the skyble people
yes
SKYBLE GANG
YEET
God of sky is megabirb change my mind
oh btw the hand of god is just a phrase meaning like a high position w/ god like heaven or smthing dkffjddk
Oh my
lead editor time~
do u wanna think of the elders as saints? 👀
Reference
Concept art?
Yep
.....
It's the closest thing we have to lore
hmm
we could
but
i think
if we can get some slight reshade fixes
and take our own cinematics
That’s rather a good idea
just remember that concept art is not canon
a lot of the ideas in concept art have been scrapped
nice
It's useful to use them when looking at how Sky (the game) was being made, but we have to be cautious about using it in theories because the information may not be accurate anymore
like the King and Prince mentioned in the timeline aren't really in the game anymore
and the dark creatures don't look the same way
honestly probably made pre-beta
mm
Yes
tbh
I've seen pictures of beta in the pins, and it was nothing like that
CotL started because remake of LA
King is real! In my heart
would you include light awaits to the skyble?
there's some evidence of the king, but it's not really confirmed
i guess since it's part of sky
yes and no
Light Awaits is more of the idea of a game than the actual Sky as we know it now
had they made it for console, we might have had Light Awaits
of course, the devs could have scrapped a lot of the ideas for other reasons, like a change in vision
but mobile is much more limited graphically than console, so the original plan of a showdown at the end would have destroyed phones
mm
Any theories on the manta following us in hidden forest?
Ok thanks
@drowsy spoke i dont think it's a big thing, just animals being animals (or light creatures in this context)
or might be idk
read the pinned articles
okay! thanksyou
Golden Wasteland
CN: Dusk
Midlife Crisis
“spooky krills time” -Boop#6494
{Acorn Mochilet Tato#5326}>The lone manta symbolizes those who still have hopes to return the wasteland to what it was before. The scene where the krill eats the manta symbolizes the impossibility of life returning to a place so corrupted.
a passage from one of them
Well this channel hasn’t specified if it’s really usefull to use them or not
@wide root it was mentioned tons and tons and tons and tons of times
Concepts are old ideas of the game
Some made it and some could prolly be future additions to the game, but most are jus scrapped ideas
Even seraph mentioned that almost every concept in the pins aren’t canon
Is it pinned?
Jus bc it’s not pinned doesn’t mean it’s not true
It will just repeat over and over and over again and we’ll all need to do this same speech forever
Just fine...
It’s a cycle.... an endlessly annoying cycle
There's something on my mind that I just need to ask.
In the hidden forest, if the rain will took damage to us, why are the puddle and lake didn't? It should damage us as well right? Where is the rain coming from?
No it is freezing rain
Does it come from wasteland cloud?
But the water should also be frozen.. But it doesn't harm us.
Wasteland is under us
Forest is far away from the Wasteland
If we go for a more scientific explanation
Why is there a storm in Eden? Where did it come from?
And what are the red crystals?
Why is there a storm in Eden? Where did it come from?
@ember zodiac its gigantic diamond
Why is there a storm in Eden? Where did it come from?
@ember zodiac doesn't it come from the diamond? (sorry for barging in!)
Maybe
And what are the red crystals?
@ember zodiac pieces of the diamond itself
Hmmm
Do you think the diamond was once stable? And not spewing the entire storm out?
I just had the idea that maybe it was... Kinda like a star? I guess?
I think it’s just like a nuclear power station that explodes on a long term time
I think it’s just like a nuclear power station that explodes on a long term time
@wide root I think like that too
Stars are kinda like that too 👀
Like a nuclear accident happened in there
Spewing off dust and radiation (crystals)
Kinda like the while industrialization idea?
Hmm
Here's a pic I got of the diamond,,
I think they tried to make the Eden Diamond to be able to harness darkness... Then an accident happened...
I wonder how much a diamond like this values
I wonder how much a diamond like this values
@wide root more than Earth's total wealth![]()
It'll topple the economy
It is said they made their home in the clouds... What was beneath the clouds tho..
Journey
Really?
Idk
I haven't played the game.. but people are saying its a part of Sky and blah blah
Journey is below clouds...
Is Wasteland beneath the clouds? Or is it not fully on 'earth' I guess?
Not fully on the earth
Pretty sure it's only on consoles
Supposed to... i think
Pretty sure it's only on consoles
@hoary violet it’s on ios on the app store
Wait what?
Yes
Ouch //android
Can I ask something?
Where can I request to release it for Android or PC?😅😅
Was this room in the forest ever used for something? Like a cutscene from a season or something?
Oh yeah
The small temple at the top is Eden. I think..
seems like it
The clouds look like the intro cutscene..
Why didn't the Eden elder fall from the Sky?!
It is said he emerged from the clouds or something like that
Most of the murals look really similar to the intro cutscene, but this one under the bridge looks the most similar..
Yes
Most of the murals look really similar to the intro cutscene, but this one under the bridge looks the most similar..
@hoary violet so your are saying that the person talking in the intro was in the forest....
Not necessarily, no...
Took some quick pics of the intro from the video
Hol on lemme take some better ones, 👀💦
Ooor not. There's nothong much to go by oof
The part of the mural representing Eden used to be peaceful, before the temples disappear and Eden seemed to erupt
"If only they had listened..."
Listened to whom?
What did they say?
Game theory really needs to do a video on this
theory:
the sand at wasteland is just dusts of past ancestors or dead sky children who literally just died when "darkness" came
another theory:
the sand at isle of dawn MAYBE is the lefted dust of sky children who failed to be born in the first place 👁_👁
"Darkness came"
@hoary violet Darkness is the absence of light. It is said it was always there, a natural part..
I think I found it in the official Sky lore in the pins.
I think it's from the google doc, and it was said by the devs in a livestream
Hmm so somehow, the light started to disappear.
Darkness and light existed wayyyy before eden
Eden didn’t exist until the elders fell, and even when they did, eden started off without darkness so there’s no way darkness originally came from eden
Whatever the elders / spirits were doing seems to have upset the balence somehow
there's an eden elder???
There was in the concepts, who knows if it's still canon
there was in the concept art, but it may have been scrapped
awh dang, would've been cool
Speaking of, does anyone know what those statue things that look like the king in the battlefield are supposed to be? Some of the ones towards the back + the main one on the temple have glowing diamonds embedded, which seems to imply they serve / have served some sort of function
@ember zodiac omg journey is in the appstore? i gotta check it out hahaha
I think I missed the statues part gotta go check them out
yoiks
perhaps they were working turrets at some point?
My sister thought they summoned the krill but I dunno
is it true that krills used to be guardians of the vault before they got corrupted? i mean I'd like to think so lol
Idk where u got that, but no one suggested it until now
i've heard it suggested before
idk, I've read it somewhere
someone a few days ago had an idea that krills are trying to get into the vault?
🤨
Krills in vault...
Well either way, mentioned or not
We got nothing confirmed about them being guardians of the vault so right now it’s jus at theory
are you thinking about Hage Jiisama's compilation of theories that the ancestors built the krill to protect wasteland?
like the word golden in wasteland seems to imply that it was a prospering place before some type of war that took place
@cold steppe no idea hahahha, but i gotta read that
Yea, it always bothered be that it's called golden when it's GREEn,,
Wasteland has the biggest area and the most signs of Industrialization, following that theory
sand is golden in color
but that doesn't change that everything in there looks green
The dull color the clouds and the little sunlight passing though might be the reason its so green.
Or the pollution.
true
the light quests in Ark seem to imply that the green color is because of something that came in
whether it's pollution, natural clouds, or something else
I think the name “golden wasteland” is pretty cool. Maybe the “golden” part could be referring to what it used to look like
The only other places I can think of that is almost as green is Prairie, and it's lively as stars there.
It makes it a little bit sad, in a good way
Bittersweet, leaving you wondering what it could've looked like in the past.
Prairie n has clearer air quality though
Oh, you know how the view from over a city at night is golden with lights? maybe it's like that?
rosecold's picture kind of shows the haze over Wasteland, which might be causing the color
Oh, I didn't think about haze!
a little closer picture, with a friend about to be krilled
It is very hazy in Wasteland
Following the diamond production/Industrialization theory, it is possible
Yeah
And the area before GW temple is called Battlefield
Hmm
Maybe some spirits opposed the Industrialization? Or they were fighting the krills
I think there wouldn’t be barricades if they were fighting the krill, because the krill would just fly over
could this imply that the green tint is due to water pollution?
Water leaches into the soil, right?
yes
Oooh
Maybe the green light removed the pollution from the water and the air?
don't remember the details, but acid rain is caused by pollution, for example
Didn’t it also have to be the “most clean” water?
green light made the plants grow back
It doesn't rain in Wasteland though...
Tryna remember elementary stuff agxhlsjshs
Do you think it's cold in Wasteland, or warm?
Not freezing
but,,, just cold
I think it could be a little cold
It’s pretty windy, because there are some waving flag things
Sorry if my English is weird btw, it’s not my first language hehe
🤔 So it's cold enough and there's wind action, but warm enough to keep skykids from freezing.
Sorry if my English is weird btw, it’s not my first language hehe
@fading bear it's alright!
The polluted water in Eden doesn't freeze no?
Oh yeah that’s right
no
I do think it’s warmer than in the valley
Valley is high up in the clouds and even has the ice rink, so yeah...
I always think it’s pretty warm in easen, don’t know why haha
rosecold may be right, that the higher altitude of Valley makes it colder
Yeah
we get dumped way down into Wasteland
Usually the lower altitude you get, the warmer it'll be
however, I would think that Wasteland is somewhat cold (not cold enough to freeze, but maybe a little chilly) because deserts are only hot because of the sun
and Wasteland doesn't get a ton of sun
you can actually freeze to death at night in the desert
Yep
Yeah
Haha
it also has that greenish haze look too though
Hmm
true
Ooh maybe I’ll draw a golden version of the wasteland!
🤔 Perhaps most of the stone they use for building came from the mines in GW?
Wait, there are mines there?
Also, what are those golden things in the ship in the wasteland? The one with the krill and the 2000 crabs
Are those used to make diamonds? There are a few of them in the forest temple
Honestly can't remember myself, but a lot of ppl say there are. They said Wasteland Elder was in them...
they look like pots
They look the same as the ones in the Forest temple
Yeah
I saw someone saying they were probably parts to make the diamond presses or something
Hmmm
ima try to find their discussion 👀
👀👀👀👀
So this is about the theory of diamond production and the purpose of flying boats. Boats are mainly for the use of carrying pots of light. You can see these pots of light being made at prairie and I say pots of light because there are butterflies put inside them. In the wave emote cutscene, u can actually see one of the flying boats carrying pots of light.
These pots are being shipped to forest to make power diamonds, they combine the light with organic material at forest and use a diamond press to combine them into an artificial Star, or what we call “power diamond”. You can actually see the concept of this by looking at the forest temple door mural. To add even more details, right when u enter forest the text on the bottom says to “find the source of an ancient power”. The pic below is another way of looking how power diamonds are made and how forest built them. This diamond press in the picture is also seen at the golden wasteland, and there’s a krill flying around it. It may be broken down but it is noticeable that it is the same factory. Also the shipwreck at wasteland is seen to be carrying certain pieces of this diamond press, it goes to the top and sides. Now I know there’s boats everywhere and not all of them are carrying pots of light, so I jus assume they are for transportation since the people on the ground can’t fly naturally
@/Jay#6524
ah, the power diamond theory
it would make sense that the giant ship is used to transport machinery
as the smaller ones may not have been able to
however, where did the ship come from?
What is this channel for?
lore discussion
uh...lore discussion?
it's about discussing the (possible) story behind Sky!
however, where did the ship come from?
@cold steppe space
You're welcome to add theories about the spirits, different realms, etc.
There's lots of information in the pins, though not all of it was actually included in the game. Much of the pins is concept art, which shows the development process, and some is pre-launch beta pictures
Was the ship broken in half by some sort of giant krill or something? Because I think there are 2 pieces of hors stuck in the ship
yes
Sorry!!
I think someone quoted you and retroactively edited the ping out
I didnt even realize those were Krill horns!
I read it somewhere in this channel, so I went to check it out
Is the krill near this ship still have its horns?
krill horns do look a little bit different, but maybe the horns in the ship were of an elder one or something? I've seen some elder creatures in the concept art
It's significantly dumber for some reason tho
The horns are pretty big for dem normal krills tho
c h o n k
chonky boy
There is one way to find this
haha Krill with human teeth

N O
even worse than sonic haha
wow nic
perhaps it's a scale-like thing
hmm
it's interesting that there's one on each side though, almost symmetrically
do you mean on the boat?
aww the real life krill
the best krill picture we'll ever have-
haha
Well that'd be pretty painful as a krill if their scales broke off like that tho
oof
My only picture of the shipwreck krill
I think i see mandibles
And I flew around the guy multiple times too
Nothin different about him
oop.
anyway, I have a lot of krill pictures.
that's cool
So those zigzag things don't belong to any of the krills we know?
Or they just grew the missing part back
maybe it was a really big krill
I don't really think that the krill we know are strong enough to break such a big boat in half
The Krill we know just go woosh headbutt
What's going on?
got Krilled.
oof
Losing two lights
oww
that hurts
The Krill attack using a headbut, so it stands to reason that they are meant to attack with the horn things on their head
yeah
it's hard to imagine how they would break off and get seamlessly embedded tho...
hey i know that we r talking about krill rn but what about the mamoth (idk what its named) manta and it being surrounded by babies. so is there 2 sizes (sub species) of manta, mamoth cosmic and normal sized, and normal manta mamoths and normal size?
there should be more damage around the area of impact if it is one?
hmm the big krill can't just simply left the area right?
Cosmic Manta.
wait isn't it kind of strange that the wasteland is the only area that doesn't have a non-seasonal spirit with a voice?
It might have left if it was injured enough, or to chase after some other creatures
Oh well.
oh no isle doesn't either, I forgot about that
Krill voice would be epic
maybe the default voice is isle, I don't know
we don't have voices for butterflies, so that could be isle's if voices for each area is ever a thing they try
Hmm maybe the Krill evolved?
There used to be a krill with a weaker exoskeleton
And they break easily
So when they headbutt, crack goes the cranium
krill trail darkness still, they don't seem that well... attatched together
But since then, the Krill evolved to be stronger?
hmm
some mysterious stuffs fall off of them
cronchy joints
... krill sweat?
haha awesome
why am I so cursed today
Oooh
oh decaying?
thanks haha
Idk, kinda looks like dandruff to me-
They seek out light to get stronger maybe
decaying would make sense if they're corrupted, i can't imagine getting corrupted is good for the body
And light does seem to generally bring life
hmm
Ooh they look like those things that form around us when we die in Eden
YES
The,,, crusties? Coal?
maybe they were cute guardians before they got corrupted
maybe they guarded very important places, like the king's castle (eden)
Before stuff got corrupted
yeah
@ember zodiac omg journey is in the appstore? i gotta check it out hahaha
@delicate citrus![]()

only for iOS
guess I'll have some sleep now

It was nice talking to you guys
Goodnight Hyde!

thanks :)
Shleep

It's 1AM here bruh
oh no
Where r u all from?
Philippines here
cool
India
Philippines here
@hoary violet so my guess was right
I'm from the Netherlands
@fading bear cool
Can anybody explain me what this image tell us ?
The king eats the apple that leads the kingdom to ruin
very un cash money
The king eats the apple that leads the kingdom to ruin
@wind bone
What? The apple? Or are you using that metaphorically
metaphorically
like how eve ate the apple
i say this because of the heavy symbolism of the garden of eden in the opening text and in game
OH that actually makes sense
mm
