So, ive been absent from the lore channel as to avoid season spoilers and in that time ive come up with my own thoughts abt what happened so please correct me im im wrong:

1. The pre-spirit citizens of sky prayed to the heavens/wherever and were blessed with enchantments which come in the form of different colored lights, much in the same way they received the elders after praying
2. After receiving the enchantments and messing around with them, they built an ark to transport them somewhere (presumably eden)
3. On the way there, they encountered a storm and crash landed into the place we see the ark at today
4. Lost and confused with nowhere to go they decided to set up camp there and even farmed mushrooms for sustenance (presumably this all took place before wasteland became the wasteland, allowing actual life to live there)
5. finally, they all died off (for one reason or another) after leaving old murals for anyone who might come across their forgotten ark.

So this is how I viewed the murals
The lightseekers found out about the light and shared it with the scholars, they then adapted it to make new powers, psychic, illusion, fire, water, air and earth. Scholars had an idea to change the world with this power, to seek prosperity and change, probably to undo the damage in wasteland. But with all that power and all the orbs in 1 single ark, it attracted a storm and they crashed into a deserted place. They were stuck here without a way out so they decided to adapt to their environment and wear clothes for the desert and we see them as “turban” clothes. One of them even made a farm. With no way out, another one of the scholars painted murals on their ark so someone could know their story and maybe one day, someone will complete their mission

That could include occasional sandstorms, aging architecture, falling rocks, etc

Don’t forget the brutal battle in wasteland, that could’ve also brought ruin and destruction is some areas

I think it's supposed to represent the ideology of the cynic, think of Diogenes who wanted his corpse to be thrown to the dogs after his death, all the things that you gather in life are fleeting and are taken from nature and once you die you have the option to give freely back to nature the things that you don't need. Since you are coming to eden to die, you do not need the wordly wings which you once needed to support you. In fact this is shown by the fact that you have endless flight after you die.

I think the wings and the flame are supposed to portray some sort of internal electromagnetic energy which all the skykids have, which is supposed to be free and uncaptured. I think that's why eden is portrayed as evil, with industrial pipes and black smog, it is a mirror of how the natural world has been polluted by the abuse of resources, so I think the skykids were used as disposable batteries to power some large peoaject and thus ended up dying wingless

I've been doing some research on Krill anatomy, so you want to stay away from their heads when their eyes are red, because if you get near their head with the conditions above, even if they're not attacking, you will be drained of light

In fact...that adds a new truth to my theory that krill guard Eden because they are siphoning the light. They siphon your light when their eyes are red

If we look past basic game design, we see that a krills only purpose is to eliminate light, they do not protect anything, they do not even feed off the light. So the krill must have been created since they do not follow basic biological instincts. A huge clue is a krills eye, its a search light.

I was thinking where’s the ark going to and from? Then I realised that the maps all curve to the right (except the start of forest) from isle to Praire it bends to the right; valley bends to the right three times: to the ice rink, to the citadel, and in both races

Yet it’s so far from wasteland so wasteland was definitely not either the start or end; likely it was heading between a forest and Eden/vault

It also occurs that I’ve never had seen anyone discuss in the past that wasteland pipes emerge directly from vault

Four small prows by the lifeboat that takes us to the ark, all life boat size
Three medium prows in front of the ark (Praire wave cutscene size)
A big prow by the anchor
A split ship with darkness around it

Additionally seasonal spirits we've saved we can see ascending to orbit alongside the normal spirits

We can see the normal life cycle of beings of light (the manta, tuna king, butterflies) all ascending into orbit (the megabird!) but when things die an unnatural death (like the spirits) we have to save their souls so they can continue the journey back to the megabird

Also mochi and I were talking and we realised that something was wrong with my Canon Lore document that's in the pins, in it I say that in the laugh spirit cutscene they use firework staffs to transform birds into orbs of light THIS WAS WRONG

The orbs of light seem to drift on the breeze falling from above the birds
We also noticed that the spirit that one of the two spirits doesn't need a firework staff to guide these orbs of light into the pots, they just vaguely gesture at the orb and it floats straight into a pot

So the dark stone is made of once-live creatures

If they were to beget life again, they can’t use their old, destroyed form, so they mimic the thing they were supposed to power
