Just something i thought about the spirits, when you relive their memories, it's likely their final memories before they died. The crying and 
<- this emote (I dont know what to call it) are good examples of how this can apply. They most likely turned into dark plants since there are large chunks near the statue reliving thing

There are some strange stone things on the ground which I thought were the graves of her friends but it looks like these would be graves (second picture)

There has been an idea before that the whale bones in forest are from a whale that crashed into the tree ahead of it. I believe they thought when it landed the shake it caused could have been the reason for the cave in the crying spirit area to collapse

@raw grail before, graves would indicate where you could find spirits and you could get the emotes by lighting the candles in front of the graves. Glowing graves would indicate what emotes you didn’t have yet (this was very relevant back when we used to lose emotes in Eden)
My guess is because 8land hasn’t changed at all since that time, the concept is still the same given you always watch the cutscene after lighting all candles (as if you were unlocking an emote you didn’t have)

The first to theorize that the sky people have fought eachother based off of that fact was Granny Pigeon 11/24/2019. I mean ginsy did admit on 10/29/2019 that he thought of there being a civil war BUT he doubted the idea. ANYWAY, I’m so excited to record more LORE.

and we know that it’s similar to the door ones bc, you have to give it light in order for it to activate

the opening krill scene depicts the krill targeting the manta which is producing or contains some kind of light much like the sky kids. since the krill don’t actually eat (as far as i can tell) the sky children or the light. considering that life in sky is self-sustainable and there’s no evident food source (correct me if i’m wrong on the food source, i just haven’t seen any food cutscenes and the sky kids don’t seem to have mouths) however it is notable to take into account the tray-like stones during the end scene of the belonging season. leading me to believe the krill have a motive to attack, which isn’t to eat us. whether it is because we have invaded their land or destroyed their territory, or built on their habitat hence the ruins. i am not sure

I'm concluding that the spirits and the Sky kids use the same types of bodies, but are differentiated by their life force. Spirits can stay in orbit as stars and share their memories from when they had physical forms (this includes elders), while Sky kids must always return as children because of their flame. I don't quite know how winged light plays into this...

Skykids have spirit souls in them as well, which look exactly like the blue-coned lights that make up the actual spirits (whereas what we can see of their bodies is just part of the illusion made from reliving the memory, though they would've had a real body when they were alive)
You can see it when you tap on a friend star and it shows them dropping down to you, and it's what you collapse into when you die in eden and haven't gone to the black room yet

And they don’t even have nOses. Our elders don’t even have noSeS or moUths. We don’t need to eat or breathe. The skykids dont need those holes. The only holes we have is our eye sockets. But we obviously don’t play our instruments through our eye sockets. 👀 right? And when we wear the no mask mask, our eyes are CLOSED. So there are no holes that lets us play an instrument that requires breathing.
I think we imitate the sounds of the instruments. Like how we could change the sound of our calls.

And here’s another thing I was thinking about. Like what Sky Beanie said, only our bodies cast a shadow. So like, everything that we’re wearing is just light. And we already know that whenever we lose our light, our cosmetics disappear(except our capes. Maybe because our capes keeps our winged light[even though we pull the winged light out of our chest, but our capes still show the diamonds on our back so meh] and therefore letting our lightless form keep the capes). Maybe the reason why we need to buy our cosmetics from spirits is because they are teaching us what they look like. “This is what the instrument looks like and this is what they sound like” or “this is the color of the cape and this is what the pants looks like.” They teach us how to manipulate the light in a way where it looks a certain way. They probably also teach us how to make certain sounds. You can’t ask me “then why couldn’t the skychildren just look at the spirits and manipulate the light to look like them?” Well why can’t the skychildren just laugh or cry or express anything without physically seeing the spirit do it? Happiness and sadness is such a common thing and yet skychildren don’t know how to express it. Skychildren can’t do simple things. As smart as the skychildren may seem, they’re kinda dummy butts. Remember their babies(in a way).
Aaaaaaaaaaand another thing I was thinking about. About the no mask mask. Like bruh. We’re walking with our eyes closed. How do the skykids even know where to go??? So they don’t even need eyes to know how to navigate. I guess they just know what their surroundings look like because everything is a memory, an imagination, an image that they made up or memorized. ALL the children memorized the same location(and every location) to the point where they can navigate with their eyes closed.
Or maybe we just know what’s happening around us because everything is light and we could sense light. We know what things look like and what’s happening around us even with our eyes closed because we could sense their light presence.

The dark creatures are a natural part of the world, but going off one of the daily messages, they take take take that light, extinguish it. A krill will shake every last star out of you it it could, crab will tackle you, spirits and light sources like fire and lanterns to extinguish it.
But it’s your job as a child of light to make way for the light

there’s less and less light as you go through the realms leading up to the final level,
For example, Vault has barely any free roaming light and little candles, all of its light powered mechanisms need you to come in and activate them.
While in prairie things are natural and you simply need to light a few candles, there’s also a surplus of 
and whatever is considered “organic” in Sky.
this also brings back my questions abt Isle, because it does not have much other than ruined boats and pillars of rock, very desolate with hardly any sign of anyone actually living there.
It’s possible that whoever was in Eden and activated that large diamond, was harvesting light to do so, and that light came readily available from the birds and nearest temples.
(Like I said with Vault, Wasteland is also very devoid of light, for obvious reasons.)

Hmmm he might be leading them to it so I’ll jus edit my theory
As u can see in the pic I posted earlier, there were light creatures going into one of the pipes in eden, and if u look at the isle elder’s cutscene u can see him using his staff to lead the butterflies up to the mountain (which turned out to be eden)
And based on the mural found in one of the caves, you can see the isle elder leading creatures to the eden symbol
I couldn’t see where the pipe was going because it was oob, but THeoReTiCaLlY they are going to the power diamond and it is constantly giving it energy

Though I wouldn’t be surprised if it just cuts off and doesn’t pick back up on a clear path due to not needing extra objects placed outside of the player’s view
