If you actually look at the writings in the caves at the first part of isle, you can see some ‘stars’ falling from the sky, after that you can see some people taking the stars.

Speaking of the Eden elder, I was curious to see what would happen if you sat for this statue of the king on the shipwreck and it just shows you the inside of the boat. Posting here not #screenshots-and-videos because I figured lore people would be interested in finally knowing (it’s leftover from beta? Winter season?)

Disclaimer: we don’t know if the king was the Eden elder or not, viable theories are Eden elder is the king, the prince, or the child of light

Because: krill are creatures of darkness, it would make sense they can’t use light to see, krill can only sense what’s in their search beam and it turns off when they attack and they attack where they last sensed you with their beam instead of continuing to chase us

Some moths use ultrasonic as a defense against bat echolocation. But i dont think that’s working for us “moths” lol

What if isle was where they collected pure light orbs and transported them to prairie to turn into butterflies?

Lore theory: History and sins

What if every place you encounter by order was the history of the sky kingdom? I'll try to resume it as much as possible

Isle of dawn: the beginning, the first temple and not much structures
Prairies: the first art of light (Age Of Light) has begun, structures were built and civilisations were made
Forest: the domestication of light, purification and the first ceremonial candles were massivly built
Valley: as civilisations thrived, culture expanded and so the "olympics" were born. I believe the elders were the champions
Wasteland: civilisations clashed together. War broke out in what could be the capital (alot of temples). In an attempt to surpass the other clans, an eldricht frankenstein-like creature was mass produced: the krills/dragons. They may have a delayed attack to "scan" friend from foe, but all went wrong, they were berserk and their own creations turned againts them. The tribes united to make a last stand and repair the unforgivable
Vault: looking for knowledge, they sought the secrets of what lies beyond this plane to put an end to this madness. They didnt realise the next step
Eden: a last attempt to put an end to this, they all attempted to run to the Diamond to shut it, but it was no use, and so the new goal is to rally as much children of light as possible to undo the sins of the tribes

When "the stars fell", it could litteraly mean the time the Pax Romana ended, and the Golden Wasteland became a battlefield

A story similar to Mesopotamia, Greece and Rome

Although for the moment i have no explainations for crabs, i believe the dragons were created by the previous people. They look nothing like dragons, they scan and yet they only need 1 eye to perform. We know they have enough technological advances to make spinning structures and pianos, so why not weapons of destruction? It's like the discovery of atomic fission, which lead to the creation of the atomic bombs

Yea, it came in my mind while I was at my work, I mean everything has something loosely based on real life

The dark dragons being made by the spirits as a super-weapon is a stretch, but they’re definitely what the Wasteland Elder’s troops are fighting as pictured in the Vault elder custcene, because there are bones in the background and they’re not facing fellow people.

If u pay attention to some of the battlefield details u will see some shields getting pierced by swords and spears. And on the shields there are 2 different symbols, showing that there were 2 different sides

From the looks, the prairie can possibly just be a prairie and where pots are manufactured for one reason or another. The forest spirit blocked area looks like a place that made pots judging from some imprints and layouts

I do like how one can tell the elder areas are shrines just by Look.
The valley is the most honored since it’s the civilization hub and the twins are honored sports players it seems.
Prairie is surrounded by lots of pots and butterflies as we watch the elder has both of
Wasteland has the weapon and shield of the elder. In honor of them.
The forest has many contraptions and areas. Possibly a small hub for forging.
And the isle is a simple castle filled with windows and open spaces. Seems that elder can guide birds. And so on

All these places honor the elders and their origins or purpose. Nothing too shabby and always fitting what area they’re in.

Things in the office cannot be considered canon, but interestingly the new vault area looks like the inner chamber of LAPUTA castle (which Hage Jiisama had already pointed out before). After the update it looks even more similar.

Not necessarily. It could have created the krill. Or it could be the opposite, the krill could have caused the wasteland to become wasted. Or it could be neither, the krill could be some sort of scavenger showing up to feed off the ruined land. Maybe they eat pipe gunk.

Really for all we know, the krill could be a force of good. They could be like a clean-up crew that eats bad stuff, letting the land heal after, restoring the balance of light and dark. I mean, they're probably not because WOAH those bois are scary, but they could be for all we know.

I’m still confused about where everyone got the “megabird” idea. Devs never mentioned a large entity and how the galaxy is that bird. At the end credits and inside the cosmic space it looks more like a symbol and the thing at the office water is what looks more like a bird, but the birds around it can be found anywhere, I have a bunch of screenshots. What I was concerned about was the person in the office water on a boat

And in the water there it looks rather strongly like the megabird is composed of smaller birds/manta/whatever

Black holes when absorbing stuff spin it really tearing planets and stars to shreds and only take in some of the matter and create an accretion disc of expelled matter or of matter being absorbed so they can look like this

So in the process of absorbing stuff they spit it out everywhere and can end up looking like quasars in the above pic

Which would explain all the spokes radiating from the megabird

But we also get accretion disks around neutron stars that spin fast enough

Apparently young and proto stars (stars forming in nebulae) also get accretion disks

What if winged lights are the original sky kid making their imprint on the world?Maybe is was the elder who were lonely amongst themselves and they created the og sky kid. Because the first one was such a success, they thought it would be a good idea to fashion more out of light , but no matter how hard they tried , they just couldn't make the other sky kids having the imprinting ability that the first one had. Then, the OG sky kid went through the eye of Eden and died. No one found any sign that they had been reborn. The world was tossed into upheaval as each of the kingdoms accused each other of killing the OG light child. And that's all I've speculated , it does seem p legit tho,,,

@hushed steeple that’s a pretty good theory! The only problem is we know that the power diamonds somehow caused the fall, I believe it was the Eye of Eden breaking or being broken that caused it as the Eye is giant broken diamond

It’s safe to assume that at least some of the imprints were left post-fall because we have winged light on top of broken things.... I think... the only winged light that comes to mind is the one with the first krill and that platform it’s on isn’t broken so I might be wrong

eden has some remaining architecture that matches the existing things from other worlds (that broken door that only opens on one half, for example) and if we are to believe that the king is canon still, id say eden was probably a capital city. if the storm happened before the collapse (instead of being the cause or happening after) id be curious as to why theres seemingly no reference to it, since losing a capital to some form of disaster like the storm would probably be mural-worthy

i have this theory where the diamonds are only able to go to certain directions/do things it was calibrated to do (ex. elevator in vault only goes up, elevator in isle goes down, platforms in vault floats and spins in certain way)(ex. diamonds by the gates in forest opens the gates, diamonds under the broken bridge at forest returns to their original position)

the diamonds besides the boats helps idk power them up? i saw them more of a bit of a handy gps. theres gold inside some boats and imo i see them as another boost source but like it helps steer the boat. the diamond = sort of the gps, route memorizer thing. gold = helps keep the boat afloat in the air and steer it too probably

so in the concept arts, i theorize that they were building a massive ark to hold an entire civilization on it so they could return back to their og home: the stars (or space, orbit). they figured out that they could fly using air boats, so why wouldn't a huge ark do the same? hence why the ark was gonna be in eden, the highest point of the game, as its closer to their true home. this is why they built a massive diamond, to help power the ark. though there's only one ingame but whatever. maybe the others were unfinished or something. but clearly something went wrong. the diamond is broken, things goes black and red and everything falls apart

or if we're gonna be putting the king here

the king probaby overlooked the entire ark project (similar how god went to noah and be like "built an ark this wide, long, and high). since he's, well, king, and assuming he was a decent one, he cares about his kingdom and he wants all of them to return to the stars

in the concept arts, theres some aspects where the king himself IS eden. using this, the king probaby got greedy or something during the entire thing (or slowly idk). building a massive ark would take YEARS to finish (for noah it took a looonngg time). so it wasn’t like “ok we’ve been in this huge eden mountain top for the past decades or so.” i think they built eden’s cities as they built the ark. it’s probably why there’d be pipes there. construction and stuff, and steel beams too. so when they reached eden, they like started building the ark some point around that time

so since the king overlooked the entire thing, maybe he was like "oh look at how much light and materials we're getting for this project!" eden has a lot of crystals, and in the concept arts, there's this thing called dark stone where it said "it granted the ancestors tech with power but it was also the source of their corruption."

king got greedy, people got greedy. who wouldnt want a piece of valuable stone that can power up tech and be calibrated the way you want it to be? but since the king overlooked the project, he got the most crystals or whatever delivered to him (to be turned into the diamonds, assuming theyre made of the same material). he got corrupted due to his greediness. slowly he becomes one with like... idk, the dark stone's ability to work with light, and he like turned into the storm??? there can be something as too much light. maybe they added too much light, more than what the dark stones can handle, and everything went downhill from there

so king becomes the storm, the ark project is abandoned, and so was eden. the dark stone becomes corrupted as the storm rages (hence why they're red), and now the rocks are able to suck light out of things involuntarily (we lose light when we stand too close to them). eventually, the huge diamond that was built gets corrupted too, and splits, spurting out dark energy or whatever its spitting out into the kingdom
