The krill in the scared stance cutscene is part of the cutscene and not the krill that flys by that area, you can tell by watching the graveyard krill fly by then watch the spirit scene and another/the same krill will fly by

Isle of Dawn looks a lot like Journey, just throwing that out there.
Maybe as we unlock the levels, the world grows around us and when we’re closer to Eden, the closer to destruction we are.
This is just kinda based on my theory that Journey and Sky are parallel universes.

Or perhaps Sky is a different ending to Journey with a not so advanced civilization.

Sky is much more full and varied Journey is lovely (and short) but there’s so MUCH in Sky

I love all the broken mountains, there’s three right? Entrance to Praire, above the ice rink, and behind the citadel/orrery?

What other parallels are there, krill/mecha krill, level progression and design (except forest), creatures in general (though Sky is missing the cloth seaweed equivalent), rebirth/death/Eden/light at the mountain 🏔, capes/flight/yelling

multiple kingdoms. why are there multiple kingdoms in sky thinkcat like they werent at war with each other... and it could be assumed wasteland's military forces were established after the darkness started becoming a threat.
alternatively maybe they did have some dissent between them which would explain the different kingdoms under different rule. or maybe split communities for whatever reason ? like... i dunno. what is a reason to create different territories / realms other than conflict ?

@fading roost The main theory is that you're hugging yourself. Some of the concept art talks about 3 different states, ascended (light), dark and indifferent (a between state). You arrive there burned out and lost - dark. But a part of yourself is ascended, this is your bright boi. You hug, and become one again - back to indifferent, neither ascended nor dark, but between (or a little of both).

Guess there's a lot of ways you can interpret that. It's interesting that you don't get any choices there though - imagine if you could meet your bright part, and just say "no, you're better off without me, you go on ahead", and just wave goodbye.

^ I feel like the reason we are the hybrid is because our dark and light forms cannot sustain themselves on their own when it comes to traveling and exploring the kingdom. That’s why our dark version can’t last at all, and our light one only stayed lit so brightly from the end of EOE to traveling to orbit. If the light version was strong enough, it probably would’ve stayed lit up all the way until rebirth. So the light needs the dark in order to sustain a physical form in a place like orbit and the rest of the kingdom

The apology spirit looks like they was trying to cut the tree down, but either two things happened.

someone was warning him to stop, but it was too late (maybe the reason why it’s one of the few tree that’s been cut)
when the tree was cut down, it could have hurt the bystander that was watching.

In the end, the spirit apologised to them at the end.

Btw, the round buildings in that area are likely based on brochs. A broch is an iron age building (~2000 years ago), found in the north of scotland. They were tall round towers like this, main difference is that real brochs had a double wall with a spiral passageway inside it (having been in one, there's no way that would work in Sky, the passage is WAY too narrow). The wooden posts sticking out of the walls would have supported the floors inside the tower (maybe the ones in Sky would support a staircase up the inside, or maybe they just changed the height so we can use them as stairs).

Brochs don't have windows, just a main doorway afaik. I think some also have an underground cellar type thing, probably used for cold (or secure) storage.

Any ideas? (Also, the vault building is really short. Someone mentioned that the vault level is a hallucination and the end right before eden is the real thing. I support this theory)

Beginning of isle we see spirits (presumably, by their lack of a dot on their chest) praying to the stars, and they fall down and sky kids are made. Spirits seem to obtain this symbol from them? Or we are watching them interact with it, so yeah, perhaps it does represent the good in the spirits and elders/rebellion because that’s the first thing we see from them before we see anything about the eden King.

True, I think whales are kind of like the last surviving goliaths of the ruins. You see one as well in wasteland home. The fact you see them in eden kinda of shows you they're a bit like possibly the only real creature that isnt part of a memory.
