The server merges were brutal. They’ve slowed down/reduced somewhat recently? It used to be that it would merge on me every single time, and now I think I’ve had one merge in the past 10 visits?
See, I don’t think those are spirits though, I firmly believe those are sky kids who didn’t make it.

1 is unaccounted for but apparently there used to be one near the isles in the beta so maybe that one is buried under the sand? (thematically speaking not literally)

@rocky wing got turned into fallen statues probably. The spirits in other places only need you to share light with them whereas in Eden you need to give them a wing since it’s constantly raining red.

i think its because whatever is at the core of the storm is either taking the light we use to live directly, or it's just so dangerous that the initial wave died so that subsequent waves needed to sacrifice the one to save the many

This doesn’t explain why the wing are everywhere, unless the wing weren’t originally related to the kids around the Eye

Oh this is probably a not irrelevant passage from my late night rambling notes: "In Judaism there are two different Edens, lower Gan Eden - referred to as Gan - where Adam and Eve lived, and higher Gan Eden - referred to as Eden - a celestial place that no mortals have ever witnessed that is only accessible by righteous immortal souls. Eden is also called the ‘garden of righteousness’ and is believed to have been created at the beginning of time, with the expectation that it will ‘gloriously’ appear at the end of time. so the king statues we see throughout the wasteland all look like the ones on the ground in front of the temple (including the one on the ship that has prayer spot inside of it) but the ones on the temple have a different spire design on top and also what appears to be a top and bottom half, separated by a “waist” of sorts. The repetition of it on all of those statues but not the ones in front says that the differences are on purpose.

btw my friend took this video of Forest temple gate for me yesterday.
It looks as though people were cutting trees and taking diamonds (energy?) from them. Could it be the reason why the trees in Forest all seem hollow and dead with no leaves?
I saw one of the Forest spirits cutting a tree, but didn't know what for, because apparently the people were using stone buildings, furniture, ships and boats, etc.

So I have a theory on the krills based on what has been said earlier about the krills being machines that were used to protect civilization until they got corrupted. So originally, the krill machines were supposed to protect the light, but when the darkness came, that role swapped. We know this much. However, I don't believe the krills were made before or at the beginning of the war. In Earth's history, one of the effects of war that has a large impact on society is the rise of technology. For example, war has helped us reach space a lot faster because of the need for rockets (that technology would eventually be used for sending things to space) In the world of Sky, the war should have already started for the people to need to build something better to protect them. This is where the krill come in. They use their knowledge of light technology to build the krill to hopefully win the war (at this point, the war - I don't know how much this channel has discussed about it but I'm saying it's against the darkness itself - is at its height) the krill serve as a tipping point, so whichever side could gain control of the krill could win the war. Because the sky people built the krill, they understood the functions, but because the krill are made out of light technology, the darkness could easily corrupt it. (a second theory of mine is that the light tech is weak since the people didn't know how to properly harvest pure light)
Therefore, the darkness won the war for two reasons - it took control of the krill and the light the people used in their war tech wasn't pure enough to banish the darkness. However, there is one question that pops up. What form did the darkness take? The people built physical weapons and physical shields, so the darkness must have taken some sort of physical form. We need to remember also that the darkness was the people's fault, and not some outside enemy. This also comes back to the theory I mentioned of the light they harvested is not pure, and to add on to that, if the light isn't cared for it could go dark. I'm going to end it here or else I'm going to end up repeating myself endlessly.

There are two in the first part of the flight after you hug glowing you; one has the wings (but they’re half in a pillar so you barely see them) and the other one doesn’t. what's pretty significant about the statue is that it isn't like any statues we see in game. it wore armour and it looks like it's made of metal?

I think the darkness is an actual physical entity or can be concentrated into a physical entity. In a earlier theory I said how the darkness plants were made by humans to clean up the darkness by making it into an easily purifiable substance. Case in point there is a sort of black sludge near the shipwreck that comes out the pipes. It’s also seen in other areas with pipes. It makes a fluid sound when you walk on it but doesn’t do Andy damage when you walk on it. I think this darkness is it’s pure form. It it’s pure form it is too stable and will not react with the light inside of the sky kids capes. However, it can leach out into other things like water, where it will interact with light which is why it makes it deadly to us. The plants act as a way to neutralize the dangers of the darkness while still allowing us to get rid of it.
The hidden forest rain probably has some darkness in it too which is why we take damage and see other dark plants there
I think the plant that was modified to do this may have been the jelly like mushrooms that act as regenerative platforms in the hidden forest. They seem to gather particles of light that attract towards the sky kids but then return or rejuvenate. What might have happened is that humans saw the plant’s property to gather light and engineered it to gather the darkness instead, growing more with darkness. The big plants constantly regenerate and leak darkness since there is so much where they are.

This week I did a fieldwork on the symbols we can see on golden octagonal pyramids (the ones look like Tibetan prayer wheels), and made a summary of my findings.
As far as I have checked, the symbols on all the pyramids on the following list showed exactly the same pattern, though the symbols can be stretched horizontally or vertically a little according to the shapes of the planes.

it just randomly popped up and i tried seeing if i could see them by proximity to the portal alone, but you have to make sure that the portal is at least between you and that area of sky so it's deliberate that you see it through the portal

I guess they go delivering light by boats until they used the light to create wings which the ones that have bigger areas use (ex: forest, valley, wasteland) and the vault elder gets the ones they deliver to Eden, which I’m guessing used to be the most peaceful place until corruption came over the elder of Eden, which I’m guessing is the most powerful elder from all of them

This is gonna be long
Here’s a theory on the beginning words when you first play the game
But first here’s some things I say a lot:
First cloud layer- the clouds that are above the Temples
Higher being- the being that talks in the cutscene ( I think)

With stars united, our light was infinite- I think this means that there was this higher being who lived above the clouds with what I think are the elders and created the spirit people guys.
But darkness blinds, so I cast them away- I still have no idea how darkness blinds but I think that means the elders created something the higher being didn’t like so it made them leave the upper realm above the clouds
Together, the stars formed a new home amidst the clouds- if you look at the cutscene at this line, the elder in the center (I’m guessing Eden) came from the first layer of clouds and not from above (or maybe I’m overlooking that) but the elders used their flame that they found from their creations they made with the higher being to help them build their realms, with the Eden elder being the one who leads them all.
If only they had listened..- The Eden elder, with so much power, tried to reach the top of the clouds to reclaim their place above the clouds by the creations they made along with the elders, however the winds from above stopped them from reaching the top, which angered the Eden elder, creating a storm which destroyed all the elder’s work and probably even their lives.
Long has passed, but now I call to you- seeing the cutscene, it shows the star kids came from the first cloud layer, which probably means the sky kids were creations of the elders that the higher being kept with them probably since some of the old sky kids died when Eden tried to reach the higher being.
Btw this is all a theory feel free to believe whatever I said I’m just a kid who has a lot of time on me.

@fierce robin in a nutshell, the Megabird is basically this... being? we don’t know, and it’s prominent in the concept arts (it’s pinned in this channel!). ppl believe that the megabird itself consists of stars, spirits, etc (based on the screenshots in orbit + the credits), but in the concept arts the megabird was planned to be a huge creature that like picks you up after eden
it’s referred to as the “bird of light” i guess, and it’s supposedly all of the spirits fused together. i believe you can also see this in the current isle cutscene/out of bounds area
(i think its the megabird anyway)

That is all fascinating stuff.
The actual events in the game definitely don’t match the story they wanted to tell there any more but it’s fun seeing vestiges of it here and there.

We talked about it a little when we were discussing the salute spirit-the big ship seems like it was carrying supplies when it ran aground/was attacked with a big loss of life
the salute spirit starts there, mourning their fellow sailors, and makes its way (looking injured and like theyre struggling) to the top of the boat, where they salute a fellow sailor as they sail off in a lifeboat
though you can see that sailors lifeboat crashed in the sea too 😦
theres still one lifeboat attached to the ship, for some reason the spirit didnt use it. maybe it was too broken to be lowered into the water

it seems like whatever happened in this area happened post-catastrophe though, all of the spirits seem to be in various states of distress or wartime activities
