I'm imagining Jackie Ke Jiang already had a model of his house, so added it ingame to test out scale of things, and so this is just a mini version of that model.

Also chilling where Journey was apparently developed, hence the sand in the 2nd floor of the office

If you go to the back of the second floor of the office (where there is nothing but a hill of sand), there’s the old office where Journey was developed.

One thing I’ll never understand the removal of is the cutscene where you get the cape. In the current version, the cape, the thing that the entire game is built around, just kinda appears on your character and that’s it. This cutscene looked awesome, and I just don’t understand why they’d cut it.

(then again that didn’t stop them from cutting the aviary )

there was another version, where you got your cape when you met the Elder in Isle

he didn't appear at the temple in current Isle, but instead in a temple on a "tutorial Isle"

you would wake up on a beach and there would be a tutorial where you followed a bird to the temple and met the Elder

during that you would learn to run, skip and then eventually fly (after getting the cape)
