@small lagoon (Pardon the ping, though this answers your question) If you’re trying to get 10 flaps, clearing Eden and getting enough of a special candle currency (called ascended candles) is required to reach 10 flaps.

10 flaps requires 120 or more wing lights, or WLs.

And a good chunk will come from ‘unlocking’ the upper tree of each spirit (and each unlock grants you one extra WL, which is only collected in orbit (space area after Eden) before you reborn. For example, if one ‘unlocked’ a spirit outside of orbit, like back at home, one won’t get that WL until he/she goes through Eden and reaches orbit to be reborn again).

Note that it could take a few weeks, depending on how much ascended candles you earn per week (with a max of 15.75 per week).

It's good practice and gives you the max AC to go until you save all 63 and get the max 15.75 AC each week. Helps you learn the winged light locations quicker and helps you see them. Think of your WL runs after Eden as a refresher course on where WL are. Since... You know, easier to spot them from a distance until you can do the runs in your sleep.

Then you can befriend a moth and Uber them in their winged light runs once you know where they all are by heart since you don't need the yellow circle you can see from across the zone anymore to know they are there.

You could do what my veteran player friend did for me and ride with the moth and guide them to the ones they missed also.

Yes. Redoing eden gives you more ascended candles which you can use to buy WB or potions from the ark stores. WB = wing buffs, which give you 1 light to use on your next turn through sky! Buying wing buffs allows you to reach up to 10 wedges at this time.
You can play sky without visiting eden, but in my opinion not visiting at least once or twice every now and then defeats the purpose- as ascended candles grant you the ability to unlock most things in the game
