@coral acorn depending on how many ascended candles you get/want, you could go many times a week if you need. i would always go twice a week when i wanted to get all 15.75 candles but now that i have nothing to spend them on i go once a week :)

When I was still new and doesn’t know how to breeze through Eden yet I met this random along the way and at the end they were so nice.
Everytime I got spotted I would panic and flew back but they stayed with me and show me the route the whole time.
By the 4th time I got blown back I thought they’d just leave me and I wouldn’t blame them but they still came down and lead me until I reached hallway safely.

As a loner who has only ever finished Eden alone (sadness), if I go with people, will we get extra ACs because more of us will light more, or do we still only get the benefit of just the ones we personally light? If the latter, doesn't that mean going alone is better to get most ACs?

going alone is totally fine, but going in a group has a couple nice perks:

1. emotional support
2. if someone is leading you up, you don't have to do anything
3. recharge each other by deep calling and/or standing near each other
4. they light the flame shrines up for more places you can recharge next to

soo i’m confused.... when the last traveler spirit came i got the wing buff so i decided to go to eden so i can get that wing buff. before i went i had a level of 127 so i thought it would boost me up to 128 (including the hallway of winged light and the first winged light in eden) but after i collected everything i was missing 3 winged light so i was at 125. i even checked everywhere the winged light was supposed to be and did research just in case i was missing spots but i wasn’t. so i decided to go to eden again and now 2 short. and when i went to eden to get the winged lights the first one was missing. so my question is.... is there a reason why this is happening?

You can get star and tunnel first try if you are extra speedy but its safer to wait another lap usually

it helps if you force a server change by going home then returning

just dying a few more times will fix it

i've only had the loop happen once in weeks and weeks of going

So I helped two moths in Eden (they were in yellow capes but they were still new) I had already ran Eden this week so I was only redoing it to get all my ascended wings back. But these two kept following me around and I could tell they weren't giving wings to the lost children. So I stopped and emoted at them to turn back. They got the message but they still didn't know what to do. I head into the storm and eventually pop like an egg (I found one lost kid in there I forgot last time) my soul flies back to these two running around. I had to watch helplessly as these two baby moths were lost and confused running around and being pulverized by skykid kryptonite.

One of them actually left, leaving the other to survive on their own.

But anyway I wish them goodluck

Okay so the wiki helped me and apparently the new traveler spirits also give you buffs, so since there are 80 winged lights in the game, it means I'll have 2 more buffs. Does it mean that I will just have the buffs quicker and that the 2 more won't do anything after that?

I think it's important you go alone at least first 2 times so you can get the feel for it, even if it's hard... dont sweat it. I think it's really important for any new player to run eden on their own before they can join someone else. Splits happen now more than before, the wind can split you in some areas, and if that happens, you should be able to catch up with your friends.

Also, if you get used to getting ubered from day one, you will only be less likely to try and do it yourself, which is again bad in my opinion.

Once you make some mistakes, and learn the path you'll be able to do it faster and better, and it will allow for you to use shortcuts, fly even at some point.

I know it's scary, my hands were sweating and shaking the first time I went, but I did it to see how it feels.

The handling of your character is so much different than normal... i think it's better to not be ubered 🙏

@oblique creek It's okay to be a little scared at first. My friends ubered me the first times in Eden and Wasteland, i was too scared to do it. But there'll come a day when you'll just be like "whatever, I'll go for it". You don't need to force yourself to brave through it alone, everyone have their own pace. I never played games because most games tire me, but then I played Sky, one of the most relaxing and fun game I played and I loved it, I'm not like those people who's brave and want to explore everything themselves and isn't afraid of doing it, and it's completely fine. So it's fine asking for help until you feel like you're ready unless you want to explore yourself. Unfortunately I already went this week, I'll be useless if I go with you, but you can try looking for someone to take you in the looking for a group live channel

I give these two candles to two spirits, who give me two Wing Buffs. I am then "reborn" (an interesting concept but okay) with just my two Wing Buff bars. After that, I get some Winged Light and get a third bar, which is only cost the amount of Winged Light for my second bar normally. So my Wing Buffs don't count towards my regular Wing Bars and they can't be... y'know, "begoned?"

I'll tell you that wasteland is way more creepy than eden...I was never as afraid of eden as I was of the wasteland

my first experience in wasteland was traumatizing, especially because I'm not really a gamer, I went into the game 100% blind, and on top of that, the 1st krill was buggy that day (I know it now after seeing how things work with krills).. so imagine my horror as a non gamer after stressing over my reaction time, escaping, dark environment, being disoriented... and on top of that being attacked through a solid barrier that normally hides you

to me going to eden for the first time was... suuuuper hard and stressful because of the krills

I don't know how to describe, but in the end, crabs were the only real problem, not krills 🤣🤣🤣 there's enough time to run

plus you can defend yourself by using play dead (spamming it fast) or i can minimize the game and come back

in any case, I hope you'll have a good experience, with a friend or alone... but you definitely have to do it alone at some point

I mean, technically speaking, you don't have to do it alone ever if you don't want to, but splits and unpredictable separations can happen... or your friend might need rescuing

after your first time, try going again by yourself (you will probably have to go twice anyway to get all 16 candles)

The Graveyard area of Wasteland still freaks me out and makes me very anxious. I am not at all confident around that many krill. With just one at a time in other Wasteland areas or in Eden, I can figure out the timing and patterns well enough to muddle through and not get attacked. I have done Eden by myself, with a group and being ubered. I have really liked going with a group who will wait for me, light my candle if I lose my light, and honk to help me find my way. I feel a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie when doing it that way. But yeah, as others are saying, do what feels right for you @oblique creek.

Recently it's like i broke a wall of anxiety in wasteland/eden... it was due to my crazy friends who were like "let's play krill golf" or "let's open the battlefield gate and throw a disco party" 😂

it sounds ridiculous, but I know they wouldn't want me to lose wl or purposely put me in danger, and I like spending time with them so I was like "sure 👀 " (while internally feeling the dread of the highest magnitude) they would tell me where to hide as well and would go to randomly get krilled. when i saw that, I said to myself "YOLO"

the next thing I know, one of these friends is practicing eden oob and needs a battery pack (aka me), I say yes with a sense of dread again, but I decide to be brave. we get stuck in the most ridiculous ways, but we learn a lot about how stuff in eden works, we get krilled too 😂😂😂 I decide to laugh.. better than feel sad or angry

after both of us getting krilled by nunu (the final krill in eden), we are like "ok, what stupid thing can we do next? oh yeah, let's fly eden BACKWARDS from nunu to the beginning of the krill area" 👌 and so we do it! get hit by rocks once even

it's like, the moment i started making mockery out of getting wasted by krills, naming a krill thanks to a friend etc, the fear went away. today I was oobing and fell through a hole in the sky into the skipwreck and almost fell on the krill 🤣

one time in eden I was stuck outside of the stage (behind the invisible barrier that limits the stage) and the krill passed next to me, couldn't spot me because he's not programmed to scan that area, but he touched me ❤️ ooof... he extinguished me almost all the way with just 3-4 leggies and i got 9 flaps.. it was surreal but fun

so what I'm trying to say is, even the most scared players can really really change... just try to make fun of yourself, krills, the situation you're stuck in, or even losing wl

even if you lose wl, you'll find them... relax and enjoy getting krilled ❤️

ps, fyi it's hard to lose wl especially in wasteland... in eden it's easier, but if all parties use play dead, he won't even see you

we lost wl because i used played dead and the friend tried to use the home glitch... it doesn't work in eden... and my play dead didn't work because the krill was still scanning my friend standing next to me doing the home glitch. when we both got hit, we both lost light

but in general, you really have to work real hard to lose wl because you can protect yourself

Hey gang, there’s an area labeled “dunes” in the Eden map. When I go through I don’t really see what I think should look like dunes. Are these sand dunes? Am I just not making it far enough? I usually get to the paved wide open area where the fire is non stop.

Theoretically it’s yes, but it’s difficult not to get separated. There are wind walls that sometimes separate people (if you’re bringing someone, it’s best if they have warp with u)

So I haven’t been back to eden many times but I’ve read that the statues you have lit before stay lit? But the last time I went I don’t think they were lit from prior. Although it was same week
