the wing buffs stack with regular Stars from the realms, which means you can increase your maximum star count -> maximum cape wedges. having a higher starcount also allows you to get more statues in Eden -> more ascended candles!

(They only activate after a rebirth, mind you. So spend most of your ascended candles right away, before starting over. Save a few if you want them for traveling spirits.)

when you free statues, you’re freeing your own set. they’re all in the same location but you don’t compete or accidentally take other’s. it’s all independent. going with friends is helpful cause you can deepcall to recharge each other’s capes

That's called being "stormlocked", if you go past the no return area and go home you wont be able to go anywhere but back to eden. Don't worry tho I think you'll spawn at the last area again

Strategies are up to you for the most part, but keep in mind that everyone has their own statues, that is to say if someone lights a statue and you go over to that statue, it won’t be lit for you and you’ll be able to donate winged lights to it regardless if someone’s already lit it for themselves.

what I've been doing is making sure each spirit has their wing buff available to unlock the next time I go to Eden, and anything unrelated to that is optional for me since I'm not in a rush to get 100% of each constellation

because I like gifting to friends and saving for traveling spirits too, so if I can gift hearts sometimes and have a decent buffer for traveling spirits, then I'd consider which regular cosmetics are my favourites and save up for those over time

wing buffs aren't exactly the same as winged light. Winged light are the collectible glowing figures in all the different realms. Wing buffs are bought from the spirits for ascended candles

@full dust, in addition to what Wren said: the stars you lost will have returned to their previous locations in the realms. the wing buffs you buy will be given to you every time you are reborn, and will stack with regular stars -> more cape power and stars to sacrifice in Eden

i need to talk about my first Eden run through pCry
so when i got to the main beginning, i was instantly forgotten by a large group that entered all at the same time. it was a big group of different people, not all were friends, but some were holding hands, etc. i didnt have a friend to through it with. i was able to make it to the part with a lot of krill by following other people. then, i made two friends! one wore a blue cape, and the other had a black one. they led me through the next two parts, always waiting for me if i got knocked back. when we got to the end of the star tunnel thing, the black cape friend had to go. im guessing he was only guiding people to the no-return place, which i found really nice :)
me and my blue cape friend carried on. i was shaking with anticipation and fear. i gave my winged light to as many stone kids as i could, but didnt get too far when my character finally succumbed. i followed my friend as a spirit, but she died quickly too. im not sure if this was supposed to happen, but i revived! her little spirit-light followed me, but when i knew i couldnt get any further, i found a place in between two rocks where the shards didnt hit me as much. i could hear my friend calling to me through her little light, and my character did one last salute emote before i shattered.
we lost eachother during the first bit of the revival cutscene. i was sad that i couldnt experience this part with them. i came up to the part where it had the skiing with the jellyfish, and then i heard them call!!! they ran up the hill and i ran down, and when we saw eachother we twirled around and we were both super happy! i held her hand and we went through the rest of it together. at the end we even got to sit on the bench with the candle and talk to each other! they couldnt speak english all that much, but we thanked eachother for playing through together and we said our goodbyes. i couldnt have asked for a better first eden experience tbh
