So, my conclusions about walking being immune to doom-rain (not that anyone did say that it was perfect immunity) is that it's a big fat lie, BUT it does seem that the pace of walking on stone (not water) matches the speed that the criss-crossing lines of doom move along the ground so you tend to be hit "less", until you start walking on soil even farther in.

Even on soil I tended to get away with more territory covered for how many hits I took, but there were still stun-locks going on fairly regularly. 😕

I did have one time at the seasonal gratitude spirit in the wasteland where someone kept messing up the light. They kept trying to pull it the opposite way and I was convinced they were doing it on purpose . And that one is the hardest I think 😦

Red rocks on the ground still need to be avoided, obviously. Some of us would have to try in a group to know how viable it is to either avoid them or recover hand-hold and/or light (if it can even be maintained) for those who can't avoid stepping on them as the group presses onward.

you can lose your wing buffs from spirits getting hit outside of eden, like normal stars

but you always get the ones you purchased at the end of eden before being reborn

yeah im trying to figure out a theory for why it would be called eye if eden. psa: im not religious this is just what i remember. eden was the garden, paradise, yada yada, but also to some the origin for the idea of original sin...hurricans have eyes, maybe 27 is correct in that we are not in the eye yet, and we have to reach the eye (possibly the end of eden, when you die? like the paradise after being punished [like adam and eve when they were exiled by god])

and in order to reach that eye we have to do good work (giving up our winged light), going with the whole paradise and punishment thing

maybe all that storm stuff is like the spirits punishment or something and we have to face it in their place and idk man i have a loose idea of all this

what if eden is the reason all the people/spirits in the world of sky are dead? there was a war, maybe the people who had to get through had to go to eden as a sort of final point for the war. they died giving up their light, and we’re actually living through the world by exploring the realms, exploring the sequences and parts of life up until the war happened. in essence, we are living the lives all the spirits/ancestors lived.
they all died because they had to give everything up in eden, maybe looking for the “eye”, the beautiful world that would end this vicious war full of darkness and chaos.

and its a vicious cycle—people die, world “restarts”, they have to go through and do it again...over and over

Just to be clear: buy whatever wing buffs you want before you leave orbit so you can use them immediately upon rebirth. If you wait until after rebirth those wing buffs don’t kick in until the second time you are reborn.

Personally I haven’t been saving any ascended candles because I have too many buffs and spirits to unlock

Once I had made it to edens eye like touching it which I guess you are not supposed to be able to do and my dude kinda glitched out during the death animation. It made the sound that usually plays when ya free a spirit which I think is normal but it seemed amplified, a gold colored gem seemed to activate ( kinda like what happens on a normal death although I think it’s usually blue and shows up briefly ) and I almost recall it circling me and then for some reason I was bugged and could walk around for longer in the red rock rain and it went through the death anim again like I had light to lose when I no longer did. I was sure I was unlocking something neat or some Easter egg but naa it was just a series of unfortunate events and bugs.

@mild tiger I had that too, I got stuck in a loop with someone else where we’d “reverse die”, where instead of turning into a statue the darkness would just burn off us and the screen would go to white

It would then spawn us near the end and show the title card and it would happen again until we’d “not die”. We had to return home to fix it.

@winged jay Wing buffs are purchased with Ascended Candles from Spirits, who give you them as you walk the path to the reincarnation gate in Eden, meaning you'll start life with those buffs to your cape. They can be lost in life like any other, though. Buying them from Orbit means you have them for that rebirth, whereas buying from Home they won't apply until your next rebirth, i.e. until after your next Eden.

I haven't had the doggedness to try yet, but I did notice my 2nd run last week where I got I think it was 4 candles gave a lot less for that "free" amount before you step forward to get what Fallen you freed. Does it even give any if all statues are cleared?

In Eden my friend did something and on the left corner around the middle of my screen it had like a wings on it saying something along the lines with ascension (I think) : Fast Charge

that's a spell, you can buy them from spirits
