For first few runs yeah
You can get 11 wedges and restart with a lvl4 cape with just 11 candles. If you’re zooming towards a specific unlock you can spend more on that but will restart with fewer wedges

@median moss so the way ascended candles work is that when you see statues/the fallens, you rush to light them up, the more you light up/give light to, the more candles you might get. And also on your way flying in the galaxy, you will see floating spirits, try to collect as many as you can too

No. Each star and diamond represent a cape bar, so the extra diamonds around the stars represent an extra cape bar (or two or four).
But, in order to get that many cape bars you basically need to use ascended candles to get extra wing buffs from emote spirits.

It can take multiple trips though to stay alive long enough to do that.
I went in with a group after having cleared it and there were still statues in there because the other players ahead died and became statues....
Actually it doesn’t work that way, Tracked.
You don’t light your friends who have died ahead of you.
When a player dies in Eden, they become a green light that nearby friends can see.
You may be able help a friend recover their light, but they don’t become statues that help you get ascended candles.

Wow that was good. Now can someone explain wth is going on? Like I get that we were sent to save the souls of an ancient civilization that worship the stars and they have boats cause why not? But why is everyone dead even the areas that has no krill or darkness corrupting it? Why does the krill exist, who’s mad enough to create them in the first place? Why did we have to reborn? Why are we copying the spirits’ expressions? How did we develop psychic powers after seeing a reflection of the souls? Conclusion: great game 5/5 would play again though the last part was laggy and some parts doesn’t have proper collision

Eden shop is optional. It's along the path to the glowing door of rebirth and looks just like at Home, but you can walk right past it if you want.
The "constellation" icon from Home appears briefly as you pass by the Eden shop, but if you're not expecting it you might miss it.

Joking aside, I find that cover is more reliable closer to the right.
As you swing left and/or back away from the storm's epicenter, cover becomes less reliable, farther apart, and statues are more scarce.

It’s still doable, but you do need to pay attention to the places where lanterns are.
That tube marks roughly the halfway point between lanterns. It’s definitely possible to get to the pit stop area with crabs without teleporting home to get more light.
(Does take a bit of skill, and patience to make sure the krill aren’t coming.)

Also, the mini ghost manta in the Vault is triggered by lighting candles that have sparks and that gives the ghost manta call emote.
I've just noticed the times where the server loads it already burned, that sometimes it does have sparks again. And I know at least a 2nd time that I burned it myself and got sparks.

Ok, lemme repeat. i think you got the wrong message. once you’re past the krill, you will have to give your light to statues. give ALL your light to them, until you have 0 stars left. then you die. upon dying, you get rebirth and the statues you saved will give you star candles as a reward. you can spend those star candles buying wing buffs that 1) grant you an extra star next time you’re reborn and 2) give you access to more cosmetics. then, after rebirth, go back and search for those stars over again.

Every time you buy more spirit upgrades/wing buffs, you get them awarded to you when you exit Eden. There are 39 in all. If you have 39 + the 69 children of light you can find, that's 108 or 9 cape wedges.

I definitely also see it as the cycle of life, with the vault representing the reminiscing on your younger years in old age, and the storm being death. Hence the leap of faith, you don’t know what awaits you afterwards

It doesn’t help that the spirits.. are spirits. It seems the “big mistake” that happens at the start was everyone loosing light and in turn lots loosing life. Hence you guide their spirit to their resting grounds and shine the light they have lost to free them. Which is why they require so much light, and why they turn gold when the star candles are given
