if you have the problem again in the future, just put the video in the converter (to mp4) and then just convert (even though it's already mp4, it'll convert the codec to the one discord supports automatically which is h.264 as default)

We could implement a feature like that in the future.
We won't be able to make it into a preview song since there are no details on how many seconds have to be in between the notes , but we could make it so you can convert it into a practice song. So it highlights notes you have to click and once you click those it will highlight the next set of notes etc.

※ For me, I usually play by ear if I'm really familiar with the song.
※ Sometimes you can follow along a video (on youtube or otherwise) and try to find the right notes of the main melody then incorporate in chords later.
※ The third way (for me, at least) is looking up sheet music or synesthesias of the song. Synesthesias give you the exact notes on the piano so you can just then translate that into Sky. Same thing with sheet music.

another thing is if it's in a different key
if it's in a different key, usually you can convert them pretty easily with the ways I described (just alter it into c major by shifting around notes and stuff or just find the key in the different realms)
Otherwise, with accidentals, there's not that many ways but you can either substitute in a note or play two notes besides each other? (idk how to describe it, but it kind of gives off the effect that there's a middle note)
- I usually do the former and you can mask it with chords

@bold remnant Pretty much sounds right, that's what people do with piano even in real life. I do admit that going slow is painful and we also have to process the notes to fit them onto two octaves

There are a lot of settings there. I'm not positive there's an option but you can check

There is no option to mute it unfortunately but if you have any external music playing (I think this only works for iOS) then you’ll get the headphones and all bgm will be turned off

@cobalt lagoon In #questions-and-help pins there's an audio file that is just silence. You can download that and play it, and that effectively mutes the BGM
That's a bit more reliable than hoping for the BGM to fade out
An audio file of silence! Play this on a loop and it will mute the game's background music. Perfect for when you want to play music on your Sky instrument

In compose mode, think of it like slides, click a note/s you want to play first then click the next button, then click 2nd note/s and again click next, make blank slides for spaces in the song, keep doing this until you've done the whole piece you want to play then save it.
Switch to practice mode, load your piece, and it will highlight your notes what to press
